I think one of the ugliest, most masochistic events in NHL history had to be the Canucks bringing in Mark Messier, then Mike Keenan. These were the guys that beat the Canucks in a heartbreaking game 7 loss. Then Mark Messier takes the captaincy away from Trevor Linden, a Canuck legend and all around amazing guy. Then Messier refuses to change his number and takes the unofficially retired number 11. I swear, it was like if someone wanted to rub molten salt in the wound of a Canucks fan, I don't think you could have done a better job. What a horrible, ugly, stupid set of circumstances... Bordering on cruel and unusual. And Messier never won sh$t with the Canucks, pure money grab of a player way past his prime. Insanity.

Yeah I remember this. From a Sharks perspective it was clear he meant it as in it was unacceptable to their team. They Rags weren't a great team at the time, Sharks were going through a bit of a rough patch at that point of the year iirc, and it was more of a message to the SHarks that they can't be losing those games than a dig at the Rnagers.
Remember this is the Jumbo who got into a public beef with GM Doug Wilson and then they patched it up like a day later. He's a candid and passionate guy and sometimes had some one liners that most people would think "I probably shouldn't have said that", but he really didn't give a shit lol he moved past it the second after he said it

In a podcast, they asked Ian White what it was like playing with Joe Thornton in San Jose and all he had to say was that Jumbo Joe would yell on the bench to give him the fuckin puck if he didn’t touch it enough.

I hate Thornton but it was funny when him and sedin were talking to the ref and he kept sticking his glove in sedins face.

The more I reflect on your content of the past, and the more I observe it recently, the more I realize you are focused way too much on being angry over nothing and making sure your entire fanbase knows it. I'm unsubbing from your channels for it. For the two cents it's worth, I recognize that I'm just one rando on the Internet, so I know my leaving will likely not mean a thing to you, which is fine. I only say all of this so you might have a chance to see what you could do better. Good luck to you.

I’ve already unsubbed for the ridiculous video titles. They are so emotionally stupid. It’s like Eck watched a bunch of those “HOW TO GENERATE CLICKS ON TH-cam “videos and followed all of them. Eck you just need to add more red circles to your content 😂

sorry Hank was overrated. I love Hank, he was a good goalie, he's a great ambassador for the Rangers and hockey, he's good looking and a great dresser--but he choked a lot. I remember in particular him choking in the crucial shootout against Philly which got Philly in the playoffs.
