Its pretty hard to get emotion or opinion out of interviews with players. Its usually status quo hockey answers. This show format definitely brings out the honesty, humor and personality of the players. Love to see it.
To me it's so funny how media always complains about players not having/showing personality and being hard to market but if you give them at least some kind of new/varied/interesting questions to answer somehow 90% of them open up and seem to enjoy the interview. Maybe it's not on the players but on the boring ahh media and journalists asking the same questions throughout the whole season on every gameday.
And those same media personalities twisting and over-analyzing the players' words 24/7 so they feel pressure to give stock answers. Take a day off, dudes. Screw your clicks.
Naw it's on the hockey culture where you're pressured to not show your individuality. Many markets/teams in other sports have way harder media than many teams/markets in the NHL and you still get athletes hwoing their personalities lol

Looking forward to beating that ass the last week of the season just like last season. April 6th 2023 was an epic ass whopping. I don't think they're allowed to based off of the broadcast rights. Like most telecommunications stuff in Canada it's divided up territorial so any content western canadian would have to be made by Rogers/Sportsnet
