2.8 in Manual is purely for mining, my mate works for one of the big boys down in the Goldfields in underground, something to do with locked gearing underground and then the only vehicles that are auto are a few hilux's and HR on the surface. Once there fleet of V8 70 series are done they'll probably just move to 2.8 manuals. (Will also reduce overall emissions with the whole fleet change i imagine so that will help with the PR side of things)
Micro scalpels are the best, spent so many years digging into skin with sewing needles, the points of scissors and whatever else, and cause they're so sharp you rarely feel a thing. All the best with ya noggin Duggo.
Re lithium under bonnet, had a 100ah lithium under Prado 150 bonnet in front of airbox for 3 years, no probs at all. Running a fridge 24/7. It was also a $350 lithium battery not a big name brand big $ battery.
Fantastic episode as usual, Black Pepper will stop bleeding in a wound in a pinch. Price of a V8 70 series just went up by 50% and the new shape by 75%
Superglue is how they set my incisions after shoulder recon surgery, bit different to standard superglue but same principle, hardly any scarring, same surgeon that operates on the Eagles and Dockers.
Just have to say that in my teenage years and very early 20's, every injury, broken bone, gash, head knock and severed limb was always treated with electrical tape and beer. Now I'm mid 40's, I apologise to myself everyday for not carrying anything more than a soggy used band-aid that I found on the ground in the vehicle when I was younger.
Just a question for around the fire pit on this topic With all the V8 vs 2.8 chat, would Ronny be keen to test the 2.8 vs imo the best engine ever put in the Land Cruiser, the 4.2l 1hd-fte? Also Reuben Dolphin (DMW) is a very down to earth bloke, Met him at the Brizzy 4wd show and he even came and chatted with me and my brother at a pub in Brizzy which was just incredible! You definitely need to do a colab or get him on the podcast at least!
About 25 years ago we had what I think was called an 'Incinolet' -incinerating toilet system when I was working underground, From memory, I'm probably wrong, 10000 volts, I never used it, 10000 volts under the throne 'nope' not for me.

My adivice is build your own first aid kit with quality stuff, most off the shelf stuff, apart from the bag, is rubbish.
