My great grandpa had two old 40 series. He lived on a farm on the side of a mountain. The legend only stopped farming when he was in his 90’s. One day he was having lunch whilst sitting on the bonnet of one of his 40 series. It was on a steep track. The exact same thing happened with the handbrake and he had to leap off, at 89 years of age, as the vehicle sped off down the mountain. He walked away with a broken collar bone. That bloody legend just kept on going, nothing could stop him, until cancer did. R.I.P to my great grandpa.
Scariest time on the tracks was when it was pouring down with rain and I had to get winched up by a 79 using 3 snatch straps all d shackled to each other right beside a cliff… managed to get up but I may need new seats all together after that 👀👀 love the show lads keep it up!
@@conmorno3849 Huh. I had practically the same night three weeks ago. Go figure. Also on a 3100kg stock tow point, not a bolt-on recovery point. Similar down to the three snatch straps tied end to end with my car almost rolling off the side of a bank haha...
The scariest thing that's happened to me was taking the misso for her first 4wd trip in my tb patrol on a local track that I'd driven 1000 times. Went to drive the what looked like a puddle because the main line was a bit rough then all of a sudden both drive side wheels were off the ground and her window was under water, let's just say some seat covers would have come in handy that day 😂
Tim is such a driver, makes the 79 absolute weapon. Jocko you always steal the show, the lux is a real weapon. How Shauno is able to push the grandpa up coffs harbor is beyond me. Great episode guys! Love from Kenya 🇰🇪
scariest moment was trying to get up a steep rocky track while my hilux kept going into limp mode losing all power after filling her with water in a deep mud hole 30mins earlier. Having to roll back down backwards to get into a safe spot to clear codes and have another crack wasnt ideal. Another great episode

The quality of this channel is amazing. Everything from offroading to sweet camp destinations to swimming, it's all great. Favorite channel on youtube hands down. Post notifs always on.
I live in the Rocky Mountains Colorado, USA aswell and have to participate! The Aus culture is so tuned when it comes to 4x4s. I did a school report on AUS in fifth grade. Learned all about the big rock, and sugar glider possums. Wish I learned more about Toyotas.
Thanks to you guys 4wd 24/7, my country is where you find all sorts of terrain and most of our off road car's are land cruisers which has been proven to be the toughest over the last 40 year's. I'm also a driver who loves 4wd adventures, I really enjoy driving and never have the intention to quit when it comes to sand, mud and river crossing despite the weather. I've been following your video for almost a year now and to be honest you guy's have helped me alot especially on how to use hi4 and low4 necessarily which I never knew before, I've found it alot easier and better now watching your video's,❤️👍 Thanks for the heads-up 👍 All the way from PNG.....
First thing, super happy to see timbo, jocko and Bailey back together!! ❤️ I absolutely love that mitts alloy 79 series, love the color, the sound, the mini canopy, the tires haha I love all of it, that's like my ideal setup! Also Tim is one of my favorites to watch, dude cracks me up! 😀 Second. My scariest moment 4wding was last year, I 4wd solo since I have no one to go with and I don't want to not 4wd. I accidently went through a dirt bike trail in my jeep, started to rain 🌧 and I realized it only got worse so I tried to back up and I was deep in the oregon forest here in the US, my back 2 wheels were down the side of the hill, driver side(passenger AU style) was up in the air and where I live it rains a lot and the fog was setting in, so I winched myself up more and since it was all muddy, my winch slide my vehicle perfectly into the center of the trail and I was able to slowly back down correctly to find a small patch of Grass with no trees I'm the Tillamook forest and did a 12 point turn to go back down. My hands were shaking haha. Jeeps are narrow and top heavy, I have no lift and no lockers. I rely on my winch, 33 MT and maxtracks which all have gotten me out of everything so far 100%. Solo is scary but I love offroading and know where to draw the line and be like nope, I can't do this trail. I forgot to see the sign with the dirtbikes on it and learned from my mistake haha. Winch saved me, my dog, my jeep and all the gear in my vehicle. I've also set 1/2 an acre on fire including my old XJ jeep because we got stuck in a swampy moss area and rhe the dry weeds caught fire from under the engine. My brother's and dad all had to get the guns out and hike a few miles while it just burned. I still love offroading. Always have and always will. Solo or not. Its a lifestyle.❤❤❤❤❤
The scariest moment in a 4wd is when i wasn't 4wding, and well one slippery road later we ended up 4wheeling off a 8 meter cliff in NZ, can't say id recommend it but it was wild to say the least
Scariest moment I’ve had behind the wheel was on my first solo trip over at Moreton, was absolutely pelting down with rain when I arrived at in the dark and upon backing into the beach camp site, I got myself bogged to the diffs in the old GU. Had to leave her in the path of the high tide until the morning when I went to take a look at the damage of the water and realised I had left the front hubs unlocked 🙄. Glad to say water didn’t reach the exhaust and I’ve never gone back on the beach without checking the hubs at least 7 times 😂.
I’ve had the same with the front end not being engaged while on the beach. You feel really dumb when you find out later one. My rear tyres were getting the oncoming tide still had 5 hours till high tide. Managed to get a mate to drag me after hours of struggle.
SO awesome to see Jocko and Shauno back together wheeling again! It was surprising to hear it had been 6 or 7 months since you two had seen each other! I guess TH-cam Magic makes it seem like y’all see each other all the time. What an episode, what great mates, what weapons! Someday I’m gonna wheel with you boys!!! ❤️🐞
Scariest moment in a 4WD was wheeling out the back of Coffs Harbour at Magic Pools. Was trying to bypass a swimming hole and slid in on a sketchy side angle. Nearly rolled my 80 series in the water and had a 5 hour recovery to get her out. All the electrics were cooked and ripped out a tyre valve stem from all the rocks.
The Best phrases of Jocko's is definitely " a what a weapon" and that pony that you build is a beast! Mighty farm truck is having the best years of his live! And the boys from mits as always are awesome and with that twin monster locked 79 it's absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see Graham's Y62 in a trip whit Shauno's 200 series. Good video brother's as always is hell a fun watching your videos!
Scariest moment was watching a Delica ahead of our convoy start to slip, stall then start rolling backwards and off the side of the track up billygoats track in Dargo Vic. Loving seeing the pony and 47 in vids, seeing the old girls out and about really has a magic touch at the moment.
My scariest moment was when i was in my old turbo lifted subaru and decided to drive an unknown trail on the worth west of tassie, turns out it was the steepest hillclimb with ruts and washouts the whole way up, was no turning around or rolling back. Might not have been anything crazy for you guys but for me and the kids it was a crazy rush! I wouldnt hesitate to do it again 😅
For me the scariest time was when I was 4x4 with my 79 Ford in Ontario Canada me and my friends were wheeling all day and we were coming up to quite a steep incline hill but as I approached the top I stalled out my 79 and it started rolling back let’s just say me putting a roll cage in there was the best thing I’ve ever did to my 79! rolled over six times to the bottom totaled my 79 sadist off-road adventure I’ve had by far!! I’m from Canada and I love watching you guys off roading get a lot of tips from you guys too thanks a lot😀
haahhaha, Jocko: "don't wipe your eyes.... or your doodle". A cooking episode involving pulled pork was always going to be gold! Bloody great to see Jocko in these things more these days. He's such a funny buggar and a natural talent in front of the camera.
solenoid valve lock would be good safety option on the rear brake line of the 47...pull the parking brake, press the brake and switch on the solenoid..
Scariest moment fore was being a passenger going through Balfour track Tassie in the winter, ended up going around a slippery corner sideways and only just crawled out of it in 2wd with a busted CV and no lockers
Cape York trip 2003 in a 84 xtra cab Hilux… corrugations displaced the battery (crap tie downs), battery acid everywhere! Side of the track repairs, a few occy straps and back to it. Camping at the month of the Jardine river, high tide middle of the night and being kept awake by massive Barra jumping and even bigger croc splashes chasing them! Being snatched out of every water crossing along the Tele track as the solenoid had an issue of not making contact when tipped north of 45 degrees making the engine cut out…. Then pushing it under tow to get up a rock bashed into the side of the fuel tank causing a hectic leak… lucky we had champion in the convoy who knew about the soap trick long before Graham educated all on TH-cam! Love watching your videos, takes me back to the harder tracks we tackled and assisting in planning future adventures plus helping light the fire of 4x4ing adventures to my 9 year old son. Would love to have a set of seat covers to upgrade my dirty old fourby! Cheers Al 👍
Haven’t really had many scary moments in the VHC but I’ll tell you having my 11yo daughter start screaming her ass of when your mid way through tackling an obstacle will scare the crap out of anyone 😂 Have the video to prove it, sounded like id ran over a thousand cats 😂
My scariest was while driving on the beech for the first time as my mate wanted to drive later, my wife my 3 year old twins at the time and I went for a Drive on the beech while they had a sleep. Driving in the correct settings of the Mitsubishi Triton got bogged to the chassis as I had not deflated my tires, the scary part was we were bogged at a scary angle driving up a ridge and near the water which was coming in. Needless to say, I was rescued by a Toyota 79 who towed me out after a whole lot of sand digging. Seat covers would be so awesome as we do loads of beech driving and camping where we can and we now have dogs and protecting the seats would be so awesome. Love the show, never miss an episode!
Scariest moment, me and a mate stuck on teacup track in QLD with a broken starter motor. Halfway up a winch pull on a vertical side track to get out and engine stalls, had to rig second battery and starter together and just managed to get her started again, then alternator decided to pack up. ended up doing about 500m in 8 hours.
Scariest moment was going up Telecom Hill at Landcruiser Mountain in my old 75 Series. After that I believe you have to have those experiences to actually get any better.
Scariest moment was the very first time I took my PX2 ranger off road. I had the car for less than a week. Stock suspension, road tyres, no maxtrx or recovery gear. I asked a buddy who had 4wding experience to teach me a thing or 2. We took the ranger to white hills beach Western Australia and as far got a bit of confidence, I sent it full steam up a sand dune. As I reached the peak of the dune, the front dipped down and the the shear angle of the drop made me pucker. I definitely learnt another lesson that day. Walk the track before you drive it.
You can get them from Japan I saw another TH-cam who had one he use to live in Australia he purchased it when he moved back to the USA he had it sent over
My boyfriend was teaching me how to 4WD, in a manual none the less, and we came to the top of what I would describe as a huge sand dune. I was terrified! Still getting use to manual driving, he told me to keep 1st gear and just guide the car down. To me, guide meant just steer the car, because gravity would take care of the rest… initially this was good, we were driving slowly down this huge sand dune, until the car started sliding side ways! I tried to counteract it with no success. My boyfriend finally said “drive the car!” I thought I was. Apparently I needed to apply a little throttle to drive down this crazy descent. Well I drove that 4WD down the sand dune and there was no looking back. I’ll never forget that lesson. It was both terrifying and exciting, all rolled into one. The main thing is, I conquered it 😜
One of my many scary times was in my MQ short wheelbase and I was on a very tough and dangerous track called the Hume hwy in Sydney and I was going through an intersection on the green light and some tosser was turning from the opposite direction that I was going and T-boned me, I went on to my side then flipped on to the roof. The fibreglass roof shattered and the cabin roof crushed right down to my face level, but thankfully I had invested in a roll bar and it stopped the roof from totally crushing me and I walked out, well crawled out. I’ve been on plenty of tracks on 3 wheels and have the Elvis leg going on the brake thinking I’m about to roll over, but being in that actual rollover at 60 kph was very scary Great video again boys 🍻🔥🐷🍔🏕
Scariest time in the tracks, crooked river track Dargo, river over the bonnet on the first crossing, but made it through, 2nd crossing not quite as deep, 3rd crossing got a car length in and it dropped in deep, water came 3/4s of the way up the screen and it was still going down but quick as a flash was able to hit reverse and backed out as quick as I could, shit ourselves 🤣🤣
Scariest time in a 4x4 for me was when we were hunting when I was 14 and literally rolled the 2 door front wheel went in the air, my head was out of the sunroof with a spot light, so it was very sketchy and not much damage, was my cousin's 4x4, ended up flipping it back on its wheels and continued hunting and got a few rabbits, mad love from over the ditch
Scariest moment was sitting in the car with a mate driving the Alpine National Park in VIC. He is dead slow and seemingly scared of every rut and pothole. I honestly thought I'd die of boredom. Now that I have my own rig, these covers will do nicely. More beans!!!
I've had my fair share of hectic offroad moments, worst (I got this one on video amazingly XD) was straddling a clay covered rut up a pretty decent hill on my local powerlines track, came across a stump in a bush I didnt see, tried to cross over the rut one wheel at a time, lost traction, started sliding back, full throttle and still sliding then I hit the brakes whilst sideways and nearly rolled down the hill. Lifted my rear left wheel upon applying the brakes. 2013 triton. I gotta say though boys your camp cookups are my inspiration for when I do big feeds for the boys at camp.
First couple weeks with the new, fairly stock Hilux, ended up out at Gordon Country, up at the playpen. Coming back down the hill backwards, jag a rock, kicks the front and nearly ended up on my side. A good Samaritan gave us a winch back on all 4 wheels. Learnt a lesson that day!!
My scariest moment was when I was on a steep gravel road going down into a valley and I almost fully lost my brakes. The road was barely two cars wide and as I approached a tight turn another truck came to a stop in the middle of the track. I went for the brakes and they stopped me just in time to be a foot from the trucks bed and half in the ditches everyone was ok but my life flashed in front of my eyes. I learned the hard way how valuable well maintained brakes are!
Wow, boys, awesome work! The farm truck w Shauno wheeling is more fun than the proverbial, back to earlier times. One thing, Graham you are missed me son.
Scariest moment was sending my old Ranger up a hill on Bobs track in South-West WA, trying to power through huge wombat holes with no lift or flex. The wheel-lift was so bad I almost flipped and would have rolled down the hill into a crowd of people watching. Made my wife cry and worst of all did it in front of at least 20 cars worth of onlookers (holiday crowd) and the inlaws. Apparently, everyone at the bottom of the hill was gasping and yelling out how stupid I was. Got a 150 Prado now so traction control to the rescue.
I rolled my 79 series and 80 series land cruiser in monkey gum and in the 79 snapped an axle and in the 80 series did a rear hub And I need some seat covers love the videos
Hey'ya fellas. Great episode, love when you come to our home town of Coffs. Scariest moment ive had was on a fathers day trip up the back of Glenreagh. I was a little bit under the weather from a big night and the missus had to drive for a bit till i came good. We came across a steep technical rocky section that i usually take it easy on. I pointed out the line and said to just use a little bit of right foot. She approached the line then just punched it in second and shot us to the top. We nearly had a poo and spew moment that day. Made it up but. Fastest the old gu has even been.
Scariest moment on the track happened in a 70 series land cruiser, overgrown grass and rain on the track caused the 70 to roll down the hill on the passenger side, rolling about 5 or 6 times down the hill until we collided with a tree and snapped it in half! We got out luckily, but then had to crawl all the way back up the hill and onto the track to get out! Let’s just say I’ve been avoiding those steep tracks ever since 🤣 Keep up the great content boys 😎

Not sure if it’s too late but thought I’d share anyway. When I was young first getting into 4WDing I had a Toyota 4 runner that had very minor mods. Was meeting some friends out at the lost city in Lithgow after my shift 10pm finish on the northern beaches of Sydney. Long story short ended up on ranger bob at around 12:30am on my own tackling some fairly extreme obstacles on my own with no winch. Safe to say I didn’t need the ceramic throne for a few days after that.
Can't start my Thursday without some 4WD-24/7 action. All the way from South Africa.

Haven’t really had many scary moments in the VHC but I’ll tell you having my 11yo daughter start screaming her ass of when your mid way through tackling an obstacle will scare the crap out of anyone 😂
Have the video to prove it, sounded like id ran over a thousand cats 😂
I seriously don't stop smiling when I watch these videos! Well done boys.
Amazing how much more capable the luxy is compared to the 79! Same size tyres, twin locked but one tenth the cost.
My scariest was while driving on the beech for the first time as my mate wanted to drive later, my wife my 3 year old twins at the time and I went for a
Drive on the beech while they had a sleep.
Love seeing jocko lead the convoy. The little lad is all grown up 🥲
Scariest moment was going up Telecom Hill at Landcruiser Mountain in my old 75 Series. After that I believe you have to have those experiences to actually get any better.
Scariest moment was the same track, but as a passenger reversing down from half way up in an early 90's troops, with no brakes
Love the throw back to old school the FJ has always been a favorite of mine you boys keep up with the fun. I'm a avid 4 wheeler myself.
I've noticed there's a lot less trash talking on those older rigs while on the trails.
Any thoughts on adding a locker to the old 47 in the future?
More respect for elder rigs?
It like hanging with your grandmother vs hanging with your mates.
12HT out of the old dirty 30 and a rear locker, it would be unbeatable for an old unit

The outakes as always are my favourites. Loved it gents. Keep 'em coming!
Scariest thing that happened to me while 4wding was the first time I almost rolled my Suzuki on the tracks at Rangataiki NZ
Watching this hearing Shawn make all the fencing contractor jokes is so funny 😂
YES I love the Hot Fuzz reference at the end there! My all time favourite movie! Jocko you legend!
How do we get a rig sent to the USA??? Can u do a show on that?? I live in Colorado and would LOVE to take a patrol out in the mountains!!!!
can't beat the old patrol's
Stay tuned...
The main thing is, I conquered it 😜
is it fair to say the pony is the most capable car on the show after jocks coil lux
Nope...pete ultimate9 patrol is the best..go through any track they went with ease
jocko has to be one of the best spotters.. what a champion of a bloke
Ive done the whole of Coffs in 2WD, in reverse at night. True story 😆
You must be a super hero mate!
More like talking rubbish

Pigs arse
One of my many scary times was in my MQ short wheelbase and I was on a very tough and dangerous track called the Hume hwy in Sydney and I was going through an intersection on the green light and some tosser was turning from the opposite direction that I was going and T-boned me, I went on to my side then flipped on to the roof. The fibreglass roof shattered and the cabin roof crushed right down to my face level, but thankfully I had invested in a roll bar and it stopped the roof from totally crushing me and I walked out, well crawled out. I’ve been on plenty of tracks on 3 wheels and have the Elvis leg going on the brake thinking I’m about to roll over, but being in that actual rollover at 60 kph was very scary
Great video again boys 🍻🔥🐷🍔🏕
Scariest time in the tracks, crooked river track Dargo, river over the bonnet on the first crossing, but made it through, 2nd crossing not quite as deep, 3rd crossing got a car length in and it dropped in deep, water came 3/4s of the way up the screen and it was still going down but quick as a flash was able to hit reverse and backed out as quick as I could, shit ourselves 🤣🤣
great way to spend the arvo watching 4wd24/7 was just watching the old 40 series in the cape
You need to remove the cabling from hanging down in the 47 wheel well before it gets caught and rips something out.
OMG, I'm so excited to watch this episode!
This is beyond awesome! I love the Farm truck and the Pony!
Drove past Darryl today in underwood and got way more excited than I should have ahaha
Poor Darryl needs some love!
Scariest moment was sitting in the car with a mate driving the Alpine National Park in VIC. He is dead slow and seemingly scared of every rut and pothole. I honestly thought I'd die of boredom. Now that I have my own rig, these covers will do nicely. More beans!!!
My scariest moment off road hasn’t happened yet but I’ve got a diesel pajero soooo I’m sure it’s gonna happen sometime soon 🤦🏻♂️😏
Nah......
Unless you're filling it with fuel in the UK 🤣
@@CM-cp6ce 😂😂
I love the encouragement given between you guys.
Scariest moment would be driving my patrol home for the first time on 35s and badly adjusted drag link
Full wobble mode!
Man everybody needs a jock on the wheeling crew. That man can can guide a 4wd up a tough track. On ya jocko. Wat an episode 🍻
I would ask Bailey for ID at the pub
Yes I’ve been waiting for this episode now we need the new 4x4 version
A colab with the power fish would honestly be the best thing on TH-cam
Gotta say pony and farm truck are awesome content guys
Love the oldies
Looks like ol.mate in Shaun's passenger seat had a great time👍🏻
Sure did! Always worth entering a comp!
Absolutely loved this episode... Great to see farm truck out doing it's thing. Put a rear locker in it Shaun.🚙👍
a episode with an old series 2 lr would be awesome
Great video!! Friggin scary towards the end!!
Also, love that Jock's watched Shaun of the Dead 🤣
Damn I love those solid but light and capable old rigs so so much
First couple weeks with the new, fairly stock Hilux, ended up out at Gordon Country, up at the playpen.
I rolled my 79 series and 80 series land cruiser in monkey gum and in the 79 snapped an axle and in the 80 series did a rear hub
And I need some seat covers love the videos

You blokes are the best you guys have tought me an the miss about 4wds an camping homeless atm so it’s been a reall help to see how you guys set camp up an when Schorno get the chef hat on love yah work
Not sure if it’s too late but thought I’d share anyway.
You guys are so much fun to watch! Cheers from Sweden
Tim’s chewing the cud a lot in this video! 😂 really focused a lot. 😂👍🏼
Next time need the old patrol, the farm truck and pony 👍
Flaming oath fellas. I'm cracking a coldie now, here we go!
