When I saw Carlin in 93 (yes I'm old) He opened the show with "Why is it that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't want to fuck in the first place?"
    It's still true today.

@@cynthias7299 Thanks! I love the first 2 movies as they are master classes in practical effects. Frank's reanimation sequence was oscar worthy. These days the movie is ancient and obscure, even with the gender swapped reboot (gag me with a spoon). I also love George, he spits facts like a fire hose. Now that he's gone, Nostradamus has nothing on him.

As a 74 year old man, I find it amusing how these generations are discovering Carlin. I grew up with George. From his earliest comedy in his duo with Jack Burns through Tonight Shows, Sullivan and beyond, he was always my guy. He never stopped writing new material for standup or books. In his later years, he became a comedic iconoclast, skewering ideas held reverentially by others. A true original.

It might interest you to know that he has been involved with several children’s shows over his career. He was the conductor on Thomas & Friends for example. He is my all time favorite comedian hands down. If you haven’t already, blind react to “Al Bundy’s best insults”. Well worth it. Xers grew up with these people and loved them. I follow, soooo many reaction channels very rarely comment, because my OCD turns every "comment" into an endless essay! BUT… YOU deserve the following few thousand words!😁... You are absolutely AMAZING! This is your first reaction that I've seen, and clicked on it because George Carlin is largely responsible for the mindset I have today, and everything about your reactive style: your commentary, laughter, over the top charisma & bubbly personality, editing, and even your animated facial expressions, have impressed me more than anyone I can remember! And you've only been doing this less than 6 months, when you uploaded this, and I've seen reactors, who are BORRRRINGGG after doing this for years! they will probably never "get it" but you already HAVE IT, and I can only imagine with all positive hope, how far you're going to go in just the next 6 months, let alone years! Of course, being dropdead gorgeous, with your soul piercing eyes, is just the cherry on the cake, but even with my eyes closed, you were a PRIVILEGE to listen to and experience! Instant sub! And countless 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍's! And when my EFFING ANXIETY & DEPRESSION issues finally, allow me to start my own reaction channel, which I've been meaning to do since 2019🙄...I will definitely shout you out as one of my inspirations, along with a few other channels! I can't wait to dive deep into your digital rabbit hole, and experience your magical reactions to more George Carlin, Rodney Dangerfield, and everything else I've been seeing in your list of uploads!
***I warned you about my endless essays! And if you ever do get to read this, I hope it brings a smile to your face, just as you've done to me in the past 13:27 !🤘🔥✨☮✌😉

Great reaction to GC he started in the button down 60s and slowly grew into the voice of a generation. I agree that his Religion is BS bit is also one of his best.
If you haven't already seen it, Abbott and Costello's Who's On First routine is a classic and often considered one of the greatest comedy routine's of all time, although from another century.
The Retired Actors Home performance (1953) is probably the best of the different versions around.
Another suggestion, perhaps some classic Monty Python TV skit reactions.
Or perhaps a full reaction to some of the movies. Most reactors start with Monty Python and the Holy Grail, if you go that way.
If you are thinking about doing some music reacts, I would suggest Dimash Kudaibergen. Often considered the greatest male vocalist alive. He usually pumps reaction channels massively, as his fans are known to be crazily loyal and friendly. If you do, I would go with, Ikanaide, at the Tokyo Jazz Festival.
Most reactors start with his early performances of SOS, but I think starting with a popular later performance as a first might give even better numbers.

George is who that I claim as the philosopher for my generation.
I had seen George twice in my life. The first time was a New Year’s triple concert 1972-3 at the old Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ. He was the first act followed by B. B. King the Blood, Sweat and Tears. This was after David Clayton Thomas left the band after they had a canned appearance hosting a network New Year’s celebration (they joked about being in 3 places at the same time).
The second time was my oldest son’s first concert experience at Mountain Winery near San Jose, CA.

First time watching. Glad you liked George. He was more of a hilarious philosopher than an a pure comedian especially in his later years.

I met George in 1987, prior to his second "comeback" and his early HBO specials in Peekskill, NY. He was performing at a venue adjacent to the Masonic lodge. At the time, I was the SFX supervisor for "Toxic Avenger Parts 2 & 3," working on a scene where the devil disintegrates into the ground. George arrived in a tan Buick Regal at the neighboring venue and glanced over. Recognizing him from years of watching his work, I approached him. Surprised, he exclaimed, "What the hell?" I expressed my admiration and explained that we were the SFX team responsible for the devil's dissolution, courtesy of the Toxic Avenger. Intrigued, he observed for a while and kindly offered us show tickets, but I declined with gratitude, citing our tight schedule. Miss you George

George Carlin has always been a philosopher who uses comedy to do it.

Exactly I just commented above that he was a philosopher with a sense of humor more than he was a comedian

George Carlin holds the distinction of having hosted the very first episode of "Saturday Night Live". I have the original cast seasons on DVD. If you can see it somehow, I suggest you give it a shot.

I've been a fan of his since the early 70s, i was walking by a store that had a radio playing in front of their store, and a commercial was on about him coming to town, and he said , have you ever gone into a Gift store and asked for your Gift, and i have been a fan ever since. the thinking man's comic is what i have always called him.

Sad part is everything he said a few decades ago are still relevant issues today. Glad you found Mr Carlin. He is worth your time from time to time. his ability to string together those long "gatling gun runs" are epic. I don't remember who the comedian was... who was considering changing up his act to meet the audience and George got pissed... said always be yourself. Congrats on the channel growing. I subbed first watch... and now you've doubled since your posting!
