    If the employee working at your local bowling alley pro shop doesn’t have a mullet like this guys, don’t trust a word he says.

      Wayne Webb was the master of the mullet on the PBA back in the day. I just bowled a tourney at Wayne Webb's in Columbus, Ohio.

    I just started bowling, so I'm new to all these concepts. My most recent ball I had drilled, they drilled directly into the pin. I thought it was strange. What does that mean? Is that a good thing, or a mistake by the pro shop?

    This is a great informative video on layouts and drilling. As someone who used to drill bowling balls I love seeing this. Great point on people needing to know their PAP too...A+++++

    Really interesting to see how that works. It looks like it would be fun to get a ball and drill it a bunch of different ways. Not to the extent that 220 does it lol but fun to watch!

    Michael "avg220bowler" taught me how to drill a ball already. Heading for the nearest rollercoaster park with a drill...LOL
    All my ball where drilled incorrectly, buy new and start over. Great info on drilling. Get your PAP

    Hey Forrest great video!!! When Aaron was at Harvest Bowl he drilled all my balls. He is very good. Now that he is at Granada I just call him with a ball I want and he drinks it perfectly. I come to pick it up and it fits like a glove!!!! Great informational video!!!

    This is a question not a comment. I’ve been trying to get an opinion on a drilling and trying to find a PSO who might have an answer. Most everyone is familiar with Rico layouts. Since you can’t use weight holes anymore and it is said cg location doesn’t matter that much as long as you are under 3 ozs , what effect would placing the cg in the upper right hand quadrant have as opposed to the standard lower right hand quadrant? Needless to say I am right handed. I’d like to try this on a solid and a pearl that have short pins. Any thoughts?

    Love the video! Spent time with my PSO this season figuring out my benchmark layouts for my symmetrical (4x4x4 or if i want more length 4x5x4) and asymmetrical balls (5 1/4x4 1/2x3).

    yessiree , ball drilling sure got sophisticated over the years..Back in the Dark Ages(early 70's) Finger holes above the logo( if there was one) thumb hole below and off we went!! Good stuff,Forrest!!

    This video was complete bullshit. I had my suspicions, then you said the way 220 does it with with spade bits and a drill is the wrong way. Then I absolutely knew it!

  • @christianbrooks7214
    @christianbrooks7214 ปีที่แล้ว

    Was the measurement from the thumb hole to fingers based on the cut to cut or full span? I'm guessing full span since he was measuring off of the outer sleeve of the jopo and hit the line versus using the thumb size to line up the bit and then using the 1 1/2 to go over it.

    how do they figure out the finger/thumb pitches?
    ive had 2 balls drilled and they never asked what my PAP was (because i didnt know) and didnt try to find my PAP

    • @ForrestKritzer
      @ForrestKritzer  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For pitches, it’s a preference thing. If you are having pain in a certain area on your hand, they can adjust the pitches accordingly. I would ask your ball driller if he can measure your pap. If he says no, I would get a new ball driller.
