Had the same thing happen to one of our bins a few weeks back - random fire in a back lane. Pressure washed it and put it back to work. Will repaint and decal it up when it slows down a bit in the winter. Inevitable that it will happen if you do it long enough. We just send that bin back to the rough areas where it may happen again :)
Unfourtunately/fourtunately we do not need the can at the moment or we would be sending it out! It is not a matter of if a dumpster fire occurs its a matter of when
Holy 💩 man! Wow! That sucks! This is why we carry good insurance general liability, inland marine, commercial truck etc. I would assume that it would be covered by inland marine initially and if another persons insurance will cover they can get reimbursed. It’s a really 💩 tty situation. I’m sorry bud
Brother, next time you get a dumpster with dirt or anything that absorbs and retains water, put a tarp over it before it rains. That rain can easily double your weight. This video was a real dumpster fire of a production. Sorry for your damage and loss of use. Take care and Thanks for your continued videos and advice. 😉
Why would you reach out to your insurance company for a piece of metal it’s minor damage you’re just going to raise your insurance if you make the claim it’s a waste of time and money just clean it up put on new decals and it’s back in business
I don't get how the dumpster is totaled it seems like all you really need to do is empty it out the dump and then just sit somewhere and eventually just sand it and then repaint it and put a new business sign on the side unless those holes in it now which would be making it useless I guess
It is not useless being burned up but I am getting quotes to repair and they are very close to price of a new can... I am hoping the insurance pays to replace and we can salvage the burnt one also...
Man this is one of my worst fears and you’re right if you do this long enough eventually it’ll happen…. Keep us posted on the situation and how it turns out legally etc…
You should be able to get paid for the dumpster and compensation for lost of use depending on how hard you push their homeowners insurance. One determining factor will be if the investigation determines it to be arson by the homeowners, tenants, or random person, or if it was caused by spontaneous combustion caused by illegally dumped chemicals in the dumpster. Or something like that. That 10yd dumpster with that dirt and concrete is probably going to weigh 8 tons at least because my 5yd dirt and concrete dumpsters when we go across the scale are usually 5 tons or more. So hopefully the video that shows you dumping it you tell us the weight.
Sorry to hear about the fire but I would hope their insurance will cover but we will know in time. As for the dumpster, buy a new one with insurance money and park that one at the yard for the short loads like the beer dumpster from the event. Put the short loads in it and save the dump money, but you figured that out I’m sure..😁😁. Also glad to see Jesse chime in, we miss his videos.
@@Lifes_Apprentice How long ago was the fire? Normally if it is not tapped the scene has been released by the fire investigators. They have everything they need or they know a cause. It will most likely be up to the property owners insurance to contact you and work out the cost of the dumpster
@@wnytrashtrucks Got ya! Yeah I have never been involved with a fire for any reason other than controlled burns. crazy this happened but it happens everyday somewhere
You need a snatch block that you can hook to either side of a Trailer Rail to pull the dumpster sideways a little to get it to line up . th-cam.com/video/Mtrp_HGDd6g/w-d-xo.html At 04:25 Look how George hooks the Winch line to the side of the Roll-back Bed. Wow crazy fire! Hope everything works out👍👍
It is crazy!
Run to Cuba man, while they’re still trying to figure it out, get outski, vamanos.
LOL
It would make a good container for a few cords of wood........
It may end up that way. I am not even sure I will get it back if insurance totals it
It’s a piece of metal just pressure washer it and put New decals on and put it back to work
we could do that but this was arson and the homeowner is resposible for my can! I shouldnt be left with a shitty burnt up dumpster because of them
@@Lifes_Apprentice Right but what is there to do about that unless you want to press charges
@@donnyC7455 Thier insurance is responsible so we will press charges if they do not cover it

It is bound to happen at some point! Hoping thier insurance covers but if not our insurance will. I just hate to make a claim on my end

I am sure there was some water wieght in there! Thanks for watching!
Sell them siding and a roof while you’re there.
My buddy said that to me! lol I think I will avoid this job and pray I get paid for my dumpster being ruined!
Just pressure wash it and call it a day
Well now they’re definitely going to need more dumpsters after that fire
That is true!

I imagine a ciggarette ended up starting the fire. I hope its not arson but who knows. I dumped the dirt dumpster in tommorows video

We will be buying a new dumpster. I still don't know if we will get the burnt one back or not. If insurance totals it do I get it back?
What if the person that you unloaded the junk off into there yard because it was over loaded came and set that same dumpster on fire #2003
Anything is possible!
shit happens. Ice fishing is coming soon!
Yes! Ice fishing!
I can't wait for deer and duck hunting! Theeeeen Ice fishing! lol
If it were still a crime scene it would have been taped off still.
I wondered why it wasn't. Do you think they already investigated? we have not been contacted by anyone still...
