Sigue creciendo!
Great video man, loved the use of the drone to show how far the range of these mics are, if I had to choose one it would definitely be the your producer friend said was his favourite (the xt1). Would use it to elevate my talking head shots as I record off some crappy Lav mics off amazon 😂 Anyhow loved the video and hope to see more videos from you soon, keep up the good work!
Hey man, really love your videos. I’ve been trying some new things for my personal vlogs and definitely had some difficulties with audio. This really provides great insight to find the best mic for me. Keep up the work!
This is a really brilliant video. One of the videos that was actually engaging enough to watch the whole thing!! Keep it up bro. I was really considering getting the xt1 but I think you have confirmed what I should get. Will probably use this for headshot videos and some interviews that come around.
What a nice review! Asking for a help in explaining when you didn't fully master a topic, I respect that. Magic XT1 would be awesome to have especially for recording video that includes interviews but not really closing my doors with WEC-S because of its other nice features. Congrats for the first sponsor! More to come in the future.
Awesome vid! Thanks for this! Magic xt1 would be perfect for my family vids. Was choosing between lark and xt1. Thanks to your friend and from what i've heard xt1 is the better option. Goodluck on your channel!
Damn I needed this video! I recently made a short film for a school essay and I shot it on an iPhone. The one thing I struggled with the most was the audio, it was very windy outside so it was hard to get the dialogue back. Now, I’ve upgraded to my Sony a7c and a wireless lav mic would be amazing. With the Magic XT1 ( or the WEC-S, but I like the XT1 more for filmmakers :) ) I would be able to have way better audio on new short films ( and other projects ) and because it’s a lavalier mic it’s way more convenient! Thanks again for all your help and the amazing content! Big love 🫶
Thanks for the great review and comparisons, especially with all the environmental demos!! I would use the WEC-S when I upgrade from my iPhone to DSLR! 🤙🏼
I'm filming a my first wedding in early October. The Magic XT1 would be an absolute killer solution for getting clean audio of the couple. Wish me luck!
Haha thank you! I've heard a lot of people talking about how the XT1 is perfect for weddings because of their small size. Thanks for the comment and GL on the giveaway!
Discovered your channel when trying to find a review for the XT1. Wanted the WEC-S for the hotshoe capability but the audio quality was better on the XT1 despite the shorter range. I do really want the XT1 though! Was there an error in the graph at 8:07? Was it supposed to be XT1? The graph was labelled Hollyland Lark M2
That was a great review! Loved it, very informative and to the point! :) I like both but because I have a Fuji, so I cannot use the WEC-S. The XT1 would be amazing with the Fuji X100VI. Keep up the good work!!
Why the heck is the WEC-S limited to 16bit???!!! DANG! If it were 24 bit it would be totally BOSS! Great video man! Quick question though and you'll be the only one addressing it on YT. The best audio I can get on my ZV-E10 is 48k x 16bit and that's through the mic jack regardless if it's from the built in microphones, an external mic or an outboard sound source set to 24bit sending sound to the mic port. 16bit it seems is what the Sony's pre-amp limits recording to. Please let us know if recording digitally using the multi shoe with these bumps this up to 24 bit ok? I might have to plunk down on the single unit version of this going to get me 24 bit recording. THANK YOU SIR!
I appreciate it! The ZV-E10 can only record up to 16-bit audio, regardless of how it's being recorded. For anything higher you'd need to either upgrade your camera or record your audio separately to a different device.
Your audio expert friend's comments were the best! How come NO OTHER REVIEWERS make the same comments (hand-held v on your shirt). Brilliant! I have a Fulaim X5 and the Lark M2 & the XT1 both sounded better.
As for me, I want to have Magic XT1. There are three reasons for that: 1-for my 11 iPhone, XT1 has a separate wire for it. 2-for my Lumix S5. 3-cause its price & value.
WEC-S is much more convenient for the sony cameras since it can be completely wireless, but the M2 has better audio quality. So whichever you feel is more important
Can you do us a favor please and your channel as well. Please use the DJI Mic 2 in the multi shoe of a ZV-E10 and make a quick video. Then put the video on your PC and play it. Go to properties and tell us if the audio shows as being 16 or 24 bit. If it's 24 bit then that tells me my Sony will do better than 16 bit and I would then opt for the DJI. Capisce? Thank you Kyle.
Unfortunately I don't have the MI adapter for the DJI mic as the mic itself isn't mine, but regardless the ZV-e10 can unfortunately only record up to 16 bit audio internally
can someone explain what's that buzzing/breaking noise from the voice during the comparisons conversation with the studio friend? while using magic xt1
oh I accidentally clipped the audio for this portion so we’re not hearing the full dynamics of the voice as well as having a higher noise floor. Hope that helps
6:50 Maybe suckers in the States. Most people don't use Android. 🤣 DIgging your content though. Keep it up, you'll get your following if you continue doing what you're doing.
Okay aside from the fact that I ticked the "like" button for 69th time, I'd appreciate a Godox XT1 because I'm heading to Kathmandu, Nepal with Gutsy Nomad and would love to content-create 😉
I've been watching videos on wireless mics all night and this was by far the best one I've seen, thanks!
Ahhh I appreciate it!! That means a lot!

really good review. keep them coming.

Great review, thanks for it. I would be able to use either one of these systems. Thanks again for the review.
Great video with a super nice color grade, you made my decision easier!

@@kyle_munoz Yeah, sometimes you have to be far from the action and something like a boom mic won’t cut it. And thanks, I appreciate it!
1000%
I got a wedding to shoot Saturday how did the XT1 workout for you?

@@kyle_munoz Indeed. Thank you

Thanks bro....but what about your conclusion for s22ultra, which wireless mic should we use for android smartphones
Out of these two, the XT1. But in general, I like the Hollyland Lark M2 creator pack

Yeah, he was an awesome addition to the video. Gave some really great insights
The production value? The expert analysis? A SPONSOR? A GIVEAWAY? MY GOAT IS COOKING!!! 🐐

Just bought the Godox Magic XT1 Mics. On Amazon Prime sale for $87. Woohoo! 🎉
What a DEAL!! you won’t be disappointed
@@kyle_munoz your awesome review helped me decide. Thanks! Subbed 🎉

Is godax magic xt1 will work on GoPro 11 media mod?
More power to your channel.
I definitely would’ve left my mic on in the bathroom. Thanks for the reminder Kyle 🚽
heyyy was this also shot with the picture profile from your settings video? or has it changed again?
Yup, same settings! Very slight tweaks to the color grade node tree to make it a little cleaner.
@@kyle_munoz i can tell :) insane look as always!

Awesome! I wish you luck! What kind of content do you want to start posting?
I am debating WEC-S vs Hollyland lark m2 :( I have the Dji Mic 2 from Pocket 3 Combo. What's your take?
what camera are you using?
@@kyle_munoz Using A7IV, ZV-E1, Insta X3, Pocket 3 Combo.
WEC-S is much more convenient for the sony cameras since it can be completely wireless, but the M2 has better audio quality. So whichever you feel is more important
Tôi cũng đã đặt 1 cái XT1 , mong rằng không thất vọng
You won’t be!

I'm not sure what you're referencing. Could you give a timestamp?
@@kyle_munoz e.g. 6:37 when your friend is speaking it sounds like the voice is scattered not as focused
oh I accidentally clipped the audio for this portion so we’re not hearing the full dynamics of the voice as well as having a higher noise floor. Hope that helps
it could also be that since we are holding the mics in our hands, when our fingers move it could cause a scratchy sound
@@kyle_munoz thanks for the clarification! learned a new lingo:)
No internal recorder..mmmm not good.. Going for the Dji
understandable

Dude as far as improvements for the Godox,,,,,,Ummmmmm, how about 24bit???!!!!! 16 bit is right next door to ghetto 8 bit.
the XT1 has 24 bit, if you really need it I'd opt for that one for sure!
