    Butcher Holler.
Birthplace of Loretta Lynn. When Loretta Lynn belted, "Well, I was born a coal miner's daughter/In a cabin on a hill in Butcher Hollow," it not only skyrocketed "The Queen of Country Music" to additional fame outside the realm of country music fans, but it merited her the everlasting respect of every person connected directly or indirectly with coal mining or mountain life. Visit Butcher Hollow, located in scenic Johnson County. Loretta's brother, Herman Webb, is curator of the Butcher Hollow Home.

I went to the home in Butcher Holler several years ago with the tourism director in Paintsville and along the way we stopped at the store and I had the honer to meet Mr. Webb. Such a nice man and what a tingling chill to look up and all of a sudden see "the" house. It was a dream come true. :)

Oh gracious I am loving your channel!! My wife and I went to Lorettas Ranch on our Honeymoon back in Nov 2018 it was a beautiful place, Ive always wanted to go see the actual cabin. Hermans daughter has alot of the same features Loretta has in her face! Thanks so much for the documentation of this and PTL! Two of my favorite places!!

Absolutely spectacular!! Enjoyed the whole thing immensely! Thanks for the tour. So many, like myself, have never nor will ever get to have such a privilege. What a exceptional place and tour guide. she certainly has the same energy and enthusiasm that i believe the Lynn and families have. It is of high interest also to realize that those families are really the first pioneers of that area and what an impact Loretta has made as well as her whole family. The niece also is great at pointing out facts in reality and points in the movie, the similarities and etc. It surely is just about my fave movie and of course Loretta and Crystal both such outstanding artists.

Thank you. I was amazed the cabin was still there and full of Loretta's mom furniture from when they grew up and it was a thrill meeting Hermalee.
