I've been to New York City once, enduring city. Right around the midpoint of the pandemic. I captured my brief moment in that city using my BMPCC 4K. I'm amazed by this full frames image quality and of course, your cinematography. Please keep our eyes hungry for more.
I usually don't watch videos like this because they look boring, but here are straight up very cinematic shots, most of them could be great as openers for any Hollywood movie.
This made me yearn for the times before social media and iPhone footage took the world’s attention away. This is how video making was meant to be. I loved this.
Truly amazing! I love when the shots of the coin-operated telescopes come up. There is something mesmerizingly self-reflective about those shots that makes me rewatch your film again and again!
Great job, Florent! Stunning photography and beautiful images! As we can see, there are some very difficult shots here, in therms of dynamic range. Love your color grade too: reminded me the classic Arri look.
There are no words to describe this video. It is so beautiful I couldn't stop watching it. I live a few blocks away from where most of the footage was taken and it took my breath away. Thanks for reminding me what a great decision I took 6 years ago when I moved here.
Beautiful images of my beloved city.. home. NY. I love that you didn't go crazy doing super transitions and effects... you let us digest the beauty. it is actually your style, which I appreciate very much. Most creators (at lest in the realm of social media of course...), are so desperate to put so much craziness with effects, and non sense that the subject per se gets lost in the "noise" of it all. Watching always your work I believe this is you signature style. I love it. Great work mate!
Thanks so much for the kind words and positive feedback, I love when people notice the difference as it was my goal and I always try to stick to my style :).
Stunning and gorgeous, as always. I made many trips to the city, and shot a lot of photography there (on film). Your videos are a revelation to these old eyes. Thanks, Florent.
So calming and peaceful! Man you really know how to get great compositions with the Blackmagic system going handheld because I swear there's a lot that feels locked down on sticks. That's just a testament to how well you can operate, and I loved the quiet pace of this video!
You could literally screenshot any frame of this video and make it a photo album. So nice and actual! The final work really feels like a faithful testimony of how looks the big apple today. One of my favorite cities as well, so busy but so relaxing in the same time. Congrats Bro! 😘
@@OfTwoLandsjust picked one up because of the sale. I’m a big fan of Blackmagic gear. And a big fan of the 6KFF. All I want to do is come close to the genius you have revealed in these shots!
Love these type of moving picture edits and your work here is beautiful as always Flo! I need a little project outside of weddings once I've caught up with the backlog of last year edits, think I might give this a try in my hometown or maybe over a weekend in London! Happy new year and hope you have a good one!
stunning mate! I've never been there but this made me feel like I was there, more so than many other videos of NY I've seen. I think you're subtle and nuanced approach to composition creates that sense of just being there and witnessing things as they unfold in those quiet moments amongst hustle and bustle. All handheld? Some shots look like tripod - zero movement...
Finally a video showcasing what this camera can do. I‘m looking into getting the pyxis so same sensor different box. This looks great and completely reassured me the quality is really great for the price!
This is beautifully shot and the edit is very tasteful and well executed! My girlfriend and I were in NYC the 2nd week of November and it was just a magical time, it looks like this footage may have been captured around that time because that is what it looked like there.
Bravo Florian, ta vidéo est encore une fois sublime :) j'avais en effet encore en tête ta vidéo réalisée avec la bmpcc OG qui était déjà un régal, cette update est vraiment réussie !
YESSS I've been waiting for this since you told me you were going to NYC!!! Edit: just finished. As a New Yorker, it's amazing how you've made NYC seem calm and still. Like you've almost managed to strip the hectic, loud, and craziness of New York and just let us appreciate the beauty of the city. The video is like a reminder for me to slow down and appreciate my environment -- to not get too caught up with making the next meeting or meetup. And as always, masterfully shot and edited. I'm going to have to watch this at least a handful more time today. Thank you!
Once again you're too kind mate, it means a lot from someone living there so thank you! I love this city so much and I am glad I was able to capture it that way :) Hope you're well!
Man this was very meditative to watch. So peaceful and quiet and beutifully shot! Good job sir! I love the image that comes out of this camera, it amazes me everytime. Very nice edit and music choice, such a contrast of the busy city, loved it.
Very rarely does a video longer than two minutes of the same kind of thing keep me intrigued and watching but I sat through the whole video and loved each frame and movement of the camera. That's why I don't have so much test footage 🙈

You shoot beautiful images no matter what camera you use. Glad you kept the camera still and found the autumnal color. These are lovely shots.
