It is a BRAVE guitarist who takes on covering Carlos Santana!!! There is FAR more to it than hitting the notes. It's SANTANA!!! This was excellent!!
Agree! The touch of guys like Santana and David Gilmour are hard to get just right. They don't play fast so to get the same feel that they achieve is tough to do....lots of practice.
@@RealEstateChris56 Well put! Fast is NOT the same thing as good. It's more about feel and mood than about super-fast fingers. It's the subtle nuances that make the difference between good and amazing.
@@FixNewsPlease Okay... how much of your post is fact, and how much is opinion? Just curious. I'm particularly curious about your use of the phrase "patchwork of audio snippets." With respect to "live," I know of NO band or artist that can sound as good live as in the studio. The ENERGY (and often the version) is better live, but the engineering for the final cut of the recorded version is ALWAYS better.
@@AudioVileIt's sad that Eric Clapton only making three stops in US. He is way better live than any of his albums which I have and saw him live. Slow Hand plays with such feel and he can play fast no doubt but there is only one of him.

@@davidruffino131 but you do realize they can’t have it note for note bpm for bpm. It’s all copyright protected, so of course it’s going to sound a little fast or slow and different to make it their own too.

Excellent cover. I love the fact that the drummer is young enough that he wouldn't have even been born when this was a hit. Classic rock.

Really? The singer (whilst good) wasn't a patch on Rob Thomas, it lacked attitude, confidence and aggression which is what makes the original so good (in my opinion of course)

Actually the vocals here are unaccountably the weakest part. Sorry to Nick the singer but one of the main reasons this song was so huge was because Rob Thomas vocals were so good. I mean they can get who they can get for these session but as far as the vocals, it's a big swing and a miss. The rest of the band was fantastic as usual.
