    What type of marks/dents are left from the chisel? Will the peening process work if you use a brass or aluminum chisel/punch? Great video. Thank you!

      Sometimes you leave marks. Depends how bad it is. Most of them grind out during the turning process. Have to use steel on the chisel.

      Trying to get up the nerve to straightening a high end crankshaft.
      It's out .005 on the 2-3 rod journal. We have a crank press like in your video.
      Unfortunately our crank grinder passed away last year and we have not found anyone that knows how to grind cranks.
      At 72 years old I'm not sure if I want to take on the job lol.

      Surface grinding shops are always peening plates flat. You’re actually compressing the low side causing it bend in the opposite direction
