- The best way to farm infamies, for those who want the Infamy 100 achievement, or also those who enjoy speedrunning or reaching higher infamy levels! The days of Diamond Store spamming are a thing of the past, so nowadays the best approach is to find a rotation of heists that avoids the XP penalties, while having top XP efficiency.
Last year I showcased a heist rotation with the potential to reach sub-34 minute completions, but of course many were asking why the timer started after the break heist (AFK Ukrainian Job), rather than starting at Level 0. So for today, I bring you a rotation that actually starts at Level 0, full timer with everything included, and it's gonna be even faster. Enjoy!

Is there any heist where you can do ecm rush alone?
@@vincent2702 Hey vincent! Technically it's possible, but it's rarely a full heist... mostly a specific section of a heist, to set up something under the cover of ECMs. Think for example of the FWB vault area, or GO Bank at the start, or Mountain Master for the entire downstairs section, or Dockyard for the final run to the bomb and then looting/escaping... things like that!

@@Idio You can't full ECM rush Diamond Store though! At most you can place ECMs while dealing with the 4 guards like you do on GO Bank, but that's not always the optimal way to play it!

i came here thinking i could easily cheese my way through some farming but this man just puts down a 7 course meal so specific and marvelous that i wouldnt dare to eat it myself

Absolutely tarramas! That money throw for vault4 is so good, it's gonna be relevant forever I think! PAYDAY3 is gonna be great (gameplay this summer) and hopefully we can get some infamy speedruns over there as well!
@Marcmb have you got access to the beta of payday 3? it came out a couple of days ago and to be honest it's exceeded my expectations!
@@Marcmb hopefully they dont have infamy in pd3, its a pretty bad system just to give players some kind of content after finishing up with everything, which means if payday 3 has a rebirth system like this, they failed at providing enough end game content

Note for new players: the high numbers of xp only works on high infamy level, because u don't have xp bonus when u don't have infamy and u get 5% each level, thats the reason u receive less xp than others. Also, this rotation works if u have a pro player teamate or if u practice with ur teamate to do everything like it shows on the video
That's correct yup! To clarify, these XP values are at Infamy 25, where the Infamy Multiplier maxes out. For anyone under Infamy 25, I recommend just having fun with the game while levelling up, not necessarily focusing on the fastest strategies!

also, 32 minutes to get level 100
so only takes around 10 days, 33 hours, and 20 minutes of playing this game to get infamy 500 from 25 (0-25 not included for obvious reasons).

As for the time, this rotation is indeed amazing, especially considering it goes all the way from 0 to 100, with no breaks at all. That's infamy 500 in about 2 weeks, which sounds insane!

I haven't had as much motivation to play Payday 2 recently, but every time Marcmb uploads a video I always feel like messing around for an hour or two. I'm not sure how he does it

At infamy 0 it's definitely gonna take a bit longer yup! Infamy 5 is a good point, because the XP reward is exactly half of what we get at Infamy 25, so you just have to do this exact rotation only twice.
But infamy 0 is a bit longer than that yup :(

Thank you very much Pho! For the 2nd BCat (2:25 fast strategy), the weapon I used is the Arbiter, with Incendiary Rounds. The fire only lasts for 2.5 seconds, so it's great to burn yourself during a 5s interaction!

i also remember doing diamond heist on highest to get new friends to 100. as they just wanted max level no infamy.
and it took a few hours to do that. meanwhile i kept prestiging until 13 i believe and then i stopped playing pd2 as i had done everything.
now years later we get double the heists again and im back on that grind baby :D

Hey, a few questions:
1. Why are the alarms not going off for breaking glass at diamond store?
2. For Election Day, did they patch the loud bonus + keeping stealth bonus? Also is the extra loot on the map worth it?
Hey Dominique! Only the display cases are alarmed, other windows are fine. We only break the safe glass, until the KC is used (then we freely break everything).
As for the ED bug, it still works :) Extra loot is worth it, but since our rotation already reaches Level 100, we don't need to bother with it!

Just an observation, is it still possible to pick the difficulty of a heist in the CRIMENET menu, i know death sentence has a level requirement but just a thought
Hey sampanchung! That is indeed still possible yup. By setting the difficulty filter to "DEATH SENTENCE", all heists that show up on the CrimeNET will be of that difficulty.

How can we prevent the issue of having EXP penalties from grinding the same maps when going on infamy grinds?
Second, can holdouts suffer penalties from overplaying them?
Hey arisako! The only choice is to play heist rotations that have enough heist variety to avoid penalties.
As for holdouts, those can also get penalties yup, although I think they don't show up on the user interface until you get to the XP Reward screen.
hey marc. very late but i can hear someone using electric grenades i think? do they fill a rush niche? always loved the visuals and sound of the electric grenades but theyre outclassed in loud gameplay so ill take ANY excuse to use them lol
Hey hcr! Very sorry for the late response (busy week). You might not remember anymore, but do you happen to have a timestamp for this sound? We did not use electric grenades here, although we do have underbarrel weapons with poison gas, for BB25. Also some players use incendiary grenades in Diamond Store, although they aren't too drastically useful :D
I always thought cook off was the best for this, I was wrong !
Hey sosozeus! Cook Off is nice when playing with friends just mowing down cops, but the XP per minute is quite low compared to this yeah! This is peak efficiency :D

It is big that's true! Some future strategies will make it smaller for XP efficiency, but for now it is quite big :D

We coordinate the players in the most optimal locations (1 upstairs and 2 downstairs; because the angles are more convenient) to ensure we can always find it in just one server use!

Hey marc, what are the best/good heist rotations to run for solo or duo players to grind infamy?
Solo: Election Day (6-7 mins), Golden Grin (7-10), Ukranian Prisoner (10-15), Murky Station(5), Shacklethorne (7-10), Breaking Feds 5-10), Dragon Heist (10-15), Big Oil (10 mins, though dodging cops is not everyones favorite) Mountain Master (5-15) - all these heists are very linear and consistent once you get the layout right
Duo: same as above, plus: Shadow Raid (5-10), Hoxton Revenge (5-10, one does objectives, other moves loot), Blac Cat (10 mins, split keys and handprint/moving loot) Framing Frame (15-20, slow pace is good for when you need a break), Big Oil (10 mins, once can bring a combat build if you struggle with the end), Hostile takeover (5-10, one does lab, other does office), Scarface (10-15, high amount of bags + gangsters) - MOST of these are also very consistent, but they're all slogs when done solo due to the fact that you have to move lots of bags/run around a lot
Yacht Heist has too few XP for the time (you can do election day/diamond store in the same amount of time)
Train Heist has too many bags to move
FWB is too much waiting/walking and bag moving
Diamond store can be rushed with 2 randos with little time loss, even if 2 players wait for the other 2 to kill alarms
Jewelery store is never worth it due to Titan Safe
Alesso is just not worth it
Hey Robin! For solo, I have a playlist in the video description with detailed guides, but basically many of the heists that *@B30167* suggested are indeed excellent. For three of those I already have guides, and one more will be released in 2-3 weeks.
For duo, there are already many heists that can be ECM rushed, so I would suggest looking into that: Shadow Raid, Diamond Store, Shacklethorne Auction, Hostile Takeover... all excellent duo rushes. Other than that, you can also apply the ones that are good for solo stealth, and do them as a duo, for also great XP efficiency.

Hey K3n! No mods needed. If you're at the main menu and go to your interface settings, you can choose whether your infamy ranks display as roman or arabic numerals. Very easy!
to speedrun level 500 infamy it'll take 11.0763889 days and i feel like someone will do it

Infamy with pool or with reset of level which is better?
Resetting level is undeniably faster (because the skills are recovered very quickly, and the Pool alternative needs an additional 7M XP). But pool is excellent for random stealth heists and just playing for fun, so definitely use both :)
What are these overlays like the number of dmg dealt or timers on hostages or on drills? new to the game

Haha that's kinda what it is yup! Loud weapons, killing all guards... it's technically still "stealth", but it's a completely different playstyle :D
I have a question. Did they change infamy so that you dont have to start from lvl 0 every time?
Hey swat! That is correct yup. They recently released the "INFAMY POOL" feature, which means you can stay at Level 100, with your entire builds and everything, and if you gain 30,000,000 XP you are allowed to increase your Infamy by +1, without restarting anything.
In comparison, if you restart your level to 0, then you need 23,336,400 XP until you reach Level 100 again, so it's a fair trade!

On ED Day 2, whats the purpose of placing the ECM on the window and then breaking said window?
It removes the ecm

@@Vibrioidimp7 when you place an ecm on a destructible object (windows, fences, loot, etc) and then destroy it, the ecm and its effect is removed. This is useful to trigger the loud escape in election day (for 20% bonus and extra xp) instantly
Hey Austin! Very sorry for the late response: I've been extremely busy this past week.
As *@Idio* already explained before me, breaking the window causes the ECM to disappear, ending the effect early. In this way, pagers are allowed to go off at just the perfect time so we can escape with loud XP right after the last machine hack finishes. (also due to a bug on this heist we also keep the +20% stealth bonus)

Hey there Eimer! Indeed, retiming the video would've been the easiest solution for them :p
Excellent content opportunity for me, as you say! But at the same time, it's a very good question: because if you want a timer that includes the Level 0 heist, you can tryhard a bit more, and go for something much faster, rather than the convenient AFK heist.
So with these alternative rotations, not only are you farming faster because you skip the 5-minute AFK heist, but you can also go for some harder strategies, to end up with a full timer even lower than the one in previous videos!

It's always good to be that guy, Killer! Packages give you a nice XP bonus after all, especially on Big Bank :D
@@Marcmb I actually use a mod that highlights the packages because I lack the brain capacity to remember every spot. Big Bank’s packages require frickin parkour (literal parkour)
@@killertheinfiltrator Ooh I see I see. I've seen a few players using those package outlines, so I think that's fine for learning the spawns! In real runs though I feel it's more fair if you memorize the routes, but it's not a big deal either way :D

When a guide to fill the Infamy Pool as fast as possible?
Hey Sayori! As you can see from these rotation videos, it only takes one or two minutes to be back to "essentially full build" for ECM rushing, so I don't have any plans to make pool ECM rushing videos in the near future... However, I do have some plans for _loud_ infamy farming, and those might be done using the pool, I'm not sure yet!
Is there a mod to see infamy in number instead of Roman numerals?
From the main menu go to options, then interface, and you'll see it at the bottom. No mods needed!

1. You can join our Discord server, and join other people using these rotations (but you join as a client, rather than host).
2. You play older rotations, which are not as fast, but they can be done with fewer DLCs!

Wouldn't it be faster to have skill presets for each time you level up? Not much, but I can see it shaving off 20-30 seconds.
no since infamy via reputation sets all active profiles to profile 1 and swapping skillset is more time consuming than skilling manually
Hey nplt! It's just as *@RealYella* said already: manual skilling is faster for two reasons. Due to the fact that all profiles have their active skill set swapped to #1 when going infamous, this means that:
(1) Manually swapping the skill set takes a while, so you wouldn't be saving _that much time_ anyway.
(2) By manually building up the skill set #1, you can effortlessly change between Yakuza and Copycat-Hacker for the different heists, without needing to assign the skill set to both separately.

Hey Jerma! We have a Discord server where some people do runs using Voice Chat, although others prefer ingame chat only, but the strategies can work in both ways so it's always good regardless :D

Hey denver! I have an older upload that uses only Diamond Store, Shadow Raid, Election Day, and Big Bank, for a full infamy every ~38 minutes. It's a bit slower than this, but it's all console heists!

You are indeed correct yup: even though this run includes some time for the initial UKJ, the final run time is _even shorter_ than the previous rotation (which did not include that in the timer). That's because we've used some improved strategies, and updated optimal pathing: these strategies are not "ideal" for new rushers getting into it, but once the basics are mastered, these optimizations are really fun, and incredibly powerful! :D
