For cinematic reasons they had to stage it to make it look good. making the voxels moveable would actually cause quite a bit of performance issues

Soviet puts in the work, just look at those clips showing off the fighters, he had to film all those montage shots (also nod to Nep for voice over). Plus he is a master with his use of subtitles and text. Tracking, timing, everything is on point.

26:57, the one issue is that the back passenger area has no seats, without them if the pilot goes too fast the passengers can collide with the insides of the ship and if it’s too fast the passengers will take damage, so yeah, seats are there for a reason lol, other than that the decision to use blast door blocks for the exit/entrance ramp was a good choice

I dunno why, but every time I play this game... I never build small ships. I specialize in huge drednaughts and carriers, which basically double as mobile bases. My pride and joy so far is what I call ISS Undying. It's a huge carrier equipped with cannons all around, defended against AA and almost all key systems, inclusing cannons, are self-repairing and if possible, enclosed in heavy armor. Ship takes forever to turn, but could easily take on any threat. I have no idea why I build such huge things when I never play multiplayer. XD
if you guys want a live target to practice on in SE nate and nick hit me up I've been meaning to test the Weapons systems on my Capital ships after I get rid of the sub-grid turrets onboard two of them

For the fighter arena weight-class you could probably use ship types as opposed to weights for the categories like: Fighter -> Gun Ship -> Corvette -> Frigate -> Destroyer -> Cruiser -> Battle Cruiser -> Battleship. Just a thought.

If you guys were to set up a SE server for dogfights, I've got a couple crafts that I'd gladly pit against anything of similar size. I've demolished space stations with it on a couple occasions. That said, it's really cool to see that you guys reacted to this so soon after its release. Love watching your guy's reactions, especially of Womble's content. In regards to the safe zone, I believe the only way for it to be taken down is if someone were to use admin to remove it (assuming Cyanide didn't connect it to the main base, in which case that connection would have to be removed before the safe zone got deleted).
That barrier is supposed to protect from any and all things possable that could destroy whats inside. So long as that barrier is up u cant destroy anything inside of it. Normally those barriers are used as safe spots for your base/ships and they can be customised to only let specific ppl inside it when u first deploy the barrier. However to ensure that no1 could ever take that face down Cyanide even removed hes own name from the list so not even he is allowed inside that barrier. Even if he wanted to not even Cy could take that down without hacking the game. Soviet experimanted with hes own barrier around there base but he did something wrong and every1 was ejected from the area. Luckily the barrier do have a 1-2 min timer before it becomes fully operational and Soviet managed to get back in before that time to shut it down before the entire clan lost access to there base.
Honestly if you want some of the best Space Engineer's content look into what W4stedspace and Captain Shack(of XPGamers)have done W4sted's ongoing Vanguard Series it's fing Hilarious. Also mandatory "Subscribe to Texfire"

I will always prefer quality over quantity. The 3 TH-camrs I watch the most all have considerable intervals between uploads. SovietWomble who literally takes anywhere between 1-3 months to upload a single video. TheRussianBadger who takes between 2 weeks to a month to upload 1 or 2 videos. Last is Kaif who takes a week or two to upload 1 or 2 videos.

You do realize that things still have weight within gravity wells? Such as, the moon? Which they are on... Even so, in a vacuum man-made masses in space are measured by tonnage. The more layers of armor you use, the more guns you have, the more engines you have, the more space you will take up, therefore the higher the tonnage. Thus weight classes with ships are possible.

Yeah, the only really complicated thing is the wiring for conveyers, but eventually you get used to it
