Oops ,, after seeing this video I will definitely follow your advice and get educated . Then I'll start looking and separating the pennies all over again. Have bless day, and thank you again

    Great photo to show the double die on the cent. I must have a eye problem because when I look at photos of double die coins especially severe doubling my eyes go cross eyed. So much to learn and which I started collecting when I was a lot younger.

    Thanks for your advice
    You are definitely the most knowledgeable and realistic about coin collections I’ve seen on the internet. What is the deal with the lying about the 1 million dollar penny’s on TH-cam. 95 percent of this info you get about coins is so far off with price. It should be illegal for those videos to come up after a search.

    1st Please let me say Thank You for your helpful videos, so much to learn. Just started getting into coin hunting, and the info and websites you mention has helped me quite a bit. Still so much to learn but your videos really help. As always I find something I think might be a good find then go looking for it on your site and others just to find out it was nothing, but it's still pretty cool to me. I owe my coin hunting to my father he always had some coins coming in the mail from the mint, I remember always opening them up to gaze at them, again Thank you so much

    Good info Dan. I still get fooled occasionally by Mechanical doubling. I compare my finds on Variety Vista to determine if it's the real thing. More often than not it's MD instead of real doubling. I did just purchase a 1972 FS-103 double die. Thanks for the lesson and great info!

      Oops, I figured it out. Like everything else, here on the West Coast, we didn’t get those. Just like the 20 22/4, the valuable ones are the ones in Philadelphia and not the ones from Denver. In 1972, I was able to get a lot of circulated S mint pennies, but the valuable ones always seem to be from Philadelphia

    What I am scared of is if someone has more level MS67+ coins, but only has 1 graded, the official census may say only 1 coin at that grade exists, but there may be many more that are held back.

    • @TheSteveBoyd
      @TheSteveBoyd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know this for a fact (but I'm pretty sure it's true), but PCGS seems to protect the value of its top pops. One could send in an MS67+ worthy example, but since each additional coin that gets graded MS67+ would drive down the value of the top pop, 67+ suddenly becomes an almost unattainable grade. Like I said, I don't know it for a fact...

    • @davycrockett4395
      @davycrockett4395 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheSteveBoyd No you're right and chances are the ms 67+ is probably legit however with the one up there already that's most likely someones within the organization they mark the one thats actually a legit 67+ as a 67 to protect their investments. I truly believe all coin companies should be audited.

    Dear Daniel,
    Personally, I think a Coin Collector that buys a Cent for $14,400 is wealthy and a bit crazy. As a Low Class Coin Collector I would rather buy a combination of 150 Graded MS69 Morgan/Peace/American Silver Eagles.
    It did make me think of a song of poor people begging at Christmas time though:
    "I have a little pocket to put a penny in
    If you haven't got a penny, a ha' penny will do
    If you haven't got a ha' penny then God bless you
    Soal, a soal, a soal cake, please good missus a soul cake
    An apple, a pear, a plum, a cherry
    Any good thing to make us all merry
    One for Peter, two for Paul, three for him who made us all
    Now to the Lord sing praises all you within this place..." A Soalin' - A Peter, Paul and Mary song
