    Very nice at this tempo - becomes a more spiritual experience when not rushed

    My favorite interpretation on the internet. All the others are too fast. It doesn't let you appreciate the beautiful chords at the beginning. Quite an impressive track this one.

      These words and this song, have a whole new meaning in today's environment, the song is and the player are still beautiful, however the world seems to be going mad......

    Thank you for doing this at this tempo. Everyone is rushing through it and I'm not sure if Handel intended it to be that fast, I'll have to look at the sheet or whatever but even so, it does make it more of a spiritual experience like someone wrote. There's another magic to it like this. When faster it's a brilliant piece of work but at this tempo I feel like it literally gives you the time to feel everything that needs to be felt..so thanks. Definitely planning on learning it!!

      I think it is great at this tempo, however I also love Synthwulf's Passacaglia loosely based on this. It is part of a rhythm game soundtrack and I love that such games are sneakily introducing people to classical music.

      @@irenechang9644 I agree so much, the music isn't too difficult but the stretches in certain parts make it almost impossible to connect things, so I have to cut out a note like where bach scholar did at 2:48 lol, or hold it down I guess, its just not possible to reach the B flat from there for me.

    Deep Purple's "Burn" quotes the same progression twice (in both the guitar and orgsn solos). Of course organist Jon Lord (RIP) was classically trained

  • @chrisplayz6583
    @chrisplayz6583 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    It's not bad if you're practising at that speed. In fact, it is recommended to practise at a slower speed to not get your hands "constricted". But, for a concert or presentation, here are some tips:
    1) Play faster. I know it's hard, I have also played that piece. But at a concert, really all that matters is the presentation, so put away that grandpa-helper and start practising a bit faster.
    2) Dynamic. Oh boy, you need some SPECTACULAR scenes. As far as I can hear, you played the whole piece rather than mezzo forte (middle-loud). For example: Directly at the beginning there is an f sign, meaning you gotta play FORTE (loud!!!). Another example at 0:52: play piano (quiet) and make the right hand stand out. Read the notes, they tell you everything. And build up tensions, quickly switch from forte to piano (all said in the notes).
    3) Character. As previously said, don't play it all like a machine-maniac in mezzo forte. 2:48 is supposed to be a light charming melody, and you play just like the rest.
    DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE A TRASH-TALK!!!!!! IT'S JUST SOME USEFUL ADVICE!!!!

    Hi i'm abit confused, I've seen people play the same variation twice before moving to the next, whereas here you played only 1 then you moved. So which is the right one to follow? I do apologise if its a stupid comment, I'm not well verse in music history/theory
