Comptine d'un autre été - l'après midi is a piece that appears on Yann Tiersen's soundtrack to the French movie Amelie which was released in 2001. The original is for solo piano only and is an extremely popular piece for amateur pianists here on TH-cam to upload. In fact if you look real closely at the terms and conditions for TH-cam it does say that all amateur pianists have to record and upload this track so make sure you're not breaking the rules.... All right, I may be making that bit up but it seems like the case :-D
The original solo piano version sounds great by itself and really doesn't need any embelishment but I also offer a reimagined version that sounds a little fuller and hopefully adds even more emotion to a beautiful piece.

ok so, i have crippling depression and have had multiple attempts of suicide but i had this one friend who never gave up on me, she continued to believe that i could get better and helped me through. but, like all legends, she passed away this date last year after a car crash. my life has never been the same but im always told that she would want me to live. one of my distinct memories of her is that she could play this on the piano beautifully and she used to play it for me whenever i got bad. now i have dedicated myself to learning this but ill never be able to play it as beautifully as her.
So sad, yet so beautiful. May your friend RIP.

Belki hiçbir şekilde ilgini çekmeyecek ama olur da beni dikkate alırsan sana bir kitap tavsiye etmek isterim. İsmi "panik atakta". Asla kişisel gelişim kitabı olarak düşünme. Kendi kendini yardım terapisi. Mucize bir kitap. Hayatımı çok değiştirdi. Kitabı bitirmek 3 ayımı aldı ama ilaç gibi geldi. Oradaki terapileri denileni isterim. Kendini iyi bak.

Bana çok faydası oldu. Psikolog karşısında o kadar rahat olamadığım için verim alamamıştım ama bu kitap iyi geldi. Uzun vadeye yayılarak dikkatlice okunduğunda doğrudan etki ediyor. Bence şans vermelisiniz. Bir yüksek lisans öğrencisi ve aynı zamanda da bir öğretmen olarak söylüyorum ki basit bir kişisel gelişim kitabı değil.

There's a finnish word "haikea, haikeus" that I feel. I checked the translator and it suggests wistful and plainitive, though I wouldn't know if they are the same. Like I feel fragile and kinda stopped (to think and reflect). Yeah, a compilation of happy and sad feels flow through me. Today I think this tries to teach me to stop more to think about life.

hi, I'm in a similar situation than you, I've become an empty shell of life. What was once so enjoyable, is now just something that occurs. Ive not felt love for 4 years, only negative emotions get through. life seems like a big theather play, with you on the background, barely recognizable. Empathy is long gone and I need professional help. Feelings get confused, I had a depressive episode before this with dark thoughts I ache to suppress. I don't want my own blood on my hands.
Anyway, if you like a good animated series, you can try "Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso". It uses a lot of great plays, like "Love's Sorrow, Love's Joy, Etude Op.10 No.4 - Chopin, Waltz from Sleeping Beauty, Ah vous dirai-je, Maman" and many more. It classically themed, im sure you'll like the soundtracks that are made customly for this series.
It revolves around a boy who lost his mom at an early age and was one of the best piano players on the planet thanks to her. After she died, it's too much of a trauma to play the piano again. This random girl from one of his female friends suddenly jumps into his life, changing everything....

Şarkı 2001 de çıktı bu türkiye bu noktadan sonra ilerlemsini hiç beklimiyorum dinleselerdi dinlerdi 30-40 arkadaşıma tavsiye ettim hepsi bune ya filan dediler dinledikleri müzikte müzik olsa bari yani anlayacağın ağaç yaşken eğilir ama bizde yaş ağaç yok. Düşüncene kesinlikle katılıyorum.
Özellikle uyumadan önce çok güzel oluyor sanki piyano senle konuşuyor

Maalesef yaygınlaşması çok zor. O hayal gücünü, o sanat algısı düzeyini zor yakalarız... Muazzam bir yokluğun içine düştük. Edebiyatımız, müziğimiz her şeyimiz yavaş yavaş yok oluyor. Farkında mıyız hiç sanmam. Umarım düzelir yoksa nefes almak bile zor hale geliyor...
After years craving for learning piano to play this music, I finally bought a keyboard and I'm almost playing it to perfection. Buying a keyboard during pandemy really helped me.

You still can practice hand separately but you have to do it with rythm in mind (you need to carefully count pulsation)

At 70 l decided to improve my music skills having only done up to grade three 40 years ago. I thought my teacher was crazy when she gave me this piece. After about 4 months she thinks l'm playing reasonably well. Feeling a great sense of achievement.
