  • Mr Fakir Syed comes from a distinguished family of nobles of the City of Lahore. He tells the story of how the Muslims of Lahore called upon a Sikh leader, Ranjit Singh to save them. How under this illiterate Sikh ruler blind from one eye, Lahore because a University in itself where you could not find someone who was not well versed in written and spoken Persian. A great untold story of the great city of Lahore.

    Sikh rule was based on Punjabi Nationalism...Sikh Rule means self determination, protection, and freedom for all people regardless of religion caste creed gender etc. Sikh Rule is also called Khalsa Raj. When we Sikhs say Raj Karega Khalsa it means the rule of a land where all people are socially, economically, personally, and from a community standpoint free...This may not have happened completely in history but it is the truth and ideal world the Sikh Guru's propagated and it is what we will continue striving for...Khalsa Raj will be established again and all Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists etc. will have freedoms in one place that is not based on hate. So stop hating on other Punjabi's and realize the power of Punjabi Nationalism and what the Punjabi's are capable of doing together.

    • @SpinnerSingh
      @SpinnerSingh 9 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      S simba theres no official numbers. but not only Sikhs died for it...many Muslims were allys and many Hindus too. Khalsa Raj does not mean Sikhs rule. It means Everyone has equal self determination/freedoms that is guaranteed by the Khalsa.

    • @Amardeep661

      +SpinnerSingh when will you people stop twisting gurus words raj karega khalsa means only the pure shall rule pure meaning like panj piyarre when sikhs go back to the ways of guru gobind singh ji meaning everyone has to be amritdhari

    • @SpinnerSingh
      @SpinnerSingh 8 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      +Amardeep661 You clearly didn't understand anything I wrote. Khalsa Raj is not domination nor conquering it is liberating all types of people especially non-sikh and give all people right to live as they please. Read Life of Banda Singh Bahadur by Dr. Ganda Singh, Sri Guru Panth Parkash by Rattan Singh Bangu, Shamsher Khalsa Giani Gian Singh and I could name 100 other books. Raj Karega Khalsa means nothing without the second part of the dohra line: Kwar hoai sab milengay bache sharan jo hoai. All those who require freedoms/protection will find it where the Khalsa engages in politics.

    • @SpinnerSingh
      @SpinnerSingh 8 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      +Amardeep661 Have you not read how the Sikh Empire worked under Ranjit Singh alongside Akali Phoola Singh and Hari Singh Nalwa? They let all types of people work in the government not just Sikhs or Amrit Dharis we had Muslims and Hindus fighting for Punjab until the British came in and started treachery within the Sikh Empires ranks through the Dogras.

      Mr. Rana Ejaz: I am from Mysore city, the kingdom once ruled by Tippusultan & my village is 'Devana Halli', where Tippusultan was born. Caan U show any muslim being named as tippusultan [before Mysore tiger tippusultan]. His father, Hyder ali did not have male children for long time. On a Hindu saint 'TIPPESWAAMY's advice Hyder ali & his wife performed puja to Hindu god as per Hindu tradition. So, his son was named as TIPPUsultan. So, pakistanis, who divided India based on religion, should NOT UTTER the name of tippusultan.
      95% of tippusultan's army was made up of Hindus. His prime minister & intelligence Cheif was Dewan Purnaiah, a Hindu. Most of greatness attributed to tippusultan, was because of these & tipu sultan's father Hyder ali. Due to misrule of Mysore's king, the people revolted & choose Hyder ali as their leader, religion was irrelevant. Hyder ali & Purnaiah spread their network right up to Napoleon, the king of France & developed the rudimentary rocket technology for warfare, U can see these in museum in France. British were scared for this reason. Tippusultan was great fighter with these strenghs. But, quoting tippusultan's name, Mirqasim, one of the army leader went on killing Hindus who did not convert to islam. Most [not all] present muslims in south India particularly in Karnataka, Kerala etc., were converted like this by coercion of sword. In a religious pilgrimage place 'Meelukotte' & other places 98% of Hindu male people were slaughtered on Diwali festival day. Families of all these do not perform Diwali festival to this day. Hindu's lost trust in tippusultan [for this reason people does not want to celebrate tippusultan's birth day]. Betrayal of this Mirqasim led to downfal of tippusultaan. Of course tippusultan did a lot for his people, most were Hindus. So, tippusulttan is a symbol of Hinddu & muslim unity. so, pakistanis, who divided India in the name of religion have NO right to even utter tippusultan's name.

      Rana Ejaz Now u are contradicting yourself. You asked why Aurangzeb road was renamed. It was renamed because we prefer an Indian scientist and People's President over a Turko Mughal Emperor who was anti Hindu. Aurangzeb invaded lands and bankrupted his empire in doing so. India existed even before his invasion. He didn't contributed much to this land. But he destroyed Hindu temples and imposed more taxes on Hindus. No doubt he was a devoted Muslim but he was not kind towards his Hindu subjects unlike Akbar.

    • @PranavGogwekar
      @PranavGogwekar 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Rana Ejaz But Akbar was tolerant unlike Aurangzeb. Why do you think the Mughal Empire fell after him? It was simply because of his policies. Hindus, especially Rajputs were loyal to him because they had marital alliances and oath of loyalty since the time of Akbar. But his policies like destroying temples and converting with force led to his downfall. Many temples were destroyed during his reign. But at least we are a secular country which believes the country belongs to everyone. We don't need advice from a country which was created only for one community and propagates hatred towards Hindus and others. We have Muslims in politics, films and sports. How many non Muslims can u name from Pakistan who are part of your politics, films or sports?

      +Beebaa Naj it was Mughals and they did that for political expedience. They killed many of the Muslim Sufi(s) too. Aurangzeb made Khattaks and Bangash fight each other; on which Khushhaal Khan Khattak wrote: Aurangzeb is that Muslim ruler who only wants to save his rule/throne, and doesn't care if the people dying on either side are Muslim.
      So, it was never Muslims vs Sikhs but Mughals vs Sikhs.
      Take Dulla Bhatti for example, he was a Muslim but fought against Mughals. All for his pride and to avenge his father.
      Ranjeet singh (according to my understanding) was against this religious zealousness, both in Sikhs and in Muslims.
      I am from Sialkot and people in my area still respect Baba Guru Nanak as a saint of their own.
      People like Baba Bulleh Shah, Shah Hussain, Baba Guru Nanak, Ranjeet Singh, Guru Gobind Singh, etc are above religious divides, they belong to all of the Punjab and Punjabis.
      Long Live Punjab.

    Our gratitude to Faqir Syeed ji for a wonderful presentation revealing hidden facts about Maharaja Ranjit Singh who kept British away from his State.
    Punjab was captured by British 50 years after India after death of Maharaja.
