I just got a ZV-E1 and I gotta say it's also an amazing camera for real estate media creators. The fact it can shoot 4K60P with no crop is an absolute game changer and something that you can't really find outside of the Canon R6 for anywhere near the kind of money the ZV-E1 costs. Plus it's got the same sensor and processor as the A7SIII so coupled with my Viltrox AF 16mm F1.8 I can be effectively guaranteed gorgeous, noise free footage in even the most challenging lighting conditions, which is a huge boon to those of us that shoot homes for money.
No crap, it is! My client was like, "im old and fat, can you make me look good" and I stumbled onto the soft skin effect filter. Works like a charm. I bought this thing because it was tiny and had autofocus. I didnt care about gimmicks. Boy was i wrong, theres so many little game changing magic tricks in this small package. Some are janky, some are genuine deal makers.
It may sound a gimmick to filmmakers but I work with many female business owners that have a huge objection to appearing on camera so this at the low setting is a fab selling point 😎
Great video. I also own the ZVe1 and its as awesome as they say. The Creators App tho can sometimes be flaky regarding connection. My phone keeps loosing communication with the camera and its very frustrating. What has been your experience?
Hey brother, firstly I appreciate the comment on the video. Thank you so much. What I do when using the creator app, I’ll either turn off Bluetooth on my iPhone and connect via WiFi. That’s seems to do the trick for connectivity.
Another Sony app you could try is the Monitor and Ctrl app. This is a full fledged monitoring app and it’s also been working well. Although it missed a few key features from the Creator’s app like full screen view, I find this app a lot more stable.
I'm thinking about buying a full frame sensor again. I've been playing around with the videos from the Osmo Pocket 3, even though it's 4k60p, the video footage I shot from my old A7ii still looks great, and in low light the dynamics are much better. The full frame sensor just appears more natural in color tone and dynamic range compared to the 1" sensor. The ZV-e1 worries me about potential heating issues, I have that with the Osmo Pocket 3, outdoor filming at 4k60p, it can heat up. It's tough because we're on the eve of a next gen A7s4 and FX3m2, I'm sure, but damn the tech in the current sensor is still amazing. Maybe wait a few more months to see what brings in 2025 lol.
I personally never experienced any overheating issues while filming with the ZV-E1 but everyone has a different experience. Luckily there’s the option to stick on a fan to help with heat management. The ZV-E1 will hold its own irrespective of what camera comes out next. The best part is the up coming Black Friday sale where the prices will probably be lower and a good time to pick one up.
I have the FX6 as main cam 🎥 and now i have the small ZVE1 too and i really love this cam beast 😍 a perfect b cam and awesome for holidays 😅 best cinematic greetings from germany
@@schoeferfilm Haha 😆, that is so awesome!! You’re matching up a professional camera and a consumer based camera 🙌🏽. Just shows how Sony is killing it.
Like the review thinking about getting this for my wedding and music video. I can't see paying for a fx3 are a7siii when something new is around the corner. How long can you shoot 4k24 and 4k60 with out over heating issues
I personally didn’t experience any overheating during my music video shoot but then again it wasn’t continuous recording. The longest I probably recorded at one time was 20 mins and didn’t shutdown.
i think the A6700 is the most valuable, cheaper , lighter and much lighter smaller lenses with amazing footage basically an FX30 with mechanical shutter
I can’t disagree about the A6700. I actually made a video on it and I believe it’s the most complete camera for any hybrid shooters wanting to start a video/photo business (matric dance, weddings, etc). It’s that good!
Why are the a6700 and ZV-E1 the best cameras? Look no further than the A7R5. The focusing technology and the newer chips and AI chip are part of these cameras. They are way ahead of the competition and that's not bragging (if I was Sony). The a6700 is more for stills, as you know, and the E1 is dedicated to video is the strongest way. It will also make excellent photos. The 12mp will give you great images for social media and good enlargements for your wall. No one is going to notice that the sensor is 12mp, and don't tell them. I shoot like a photojournalist for stills and that is how I get the maximum out of this sensor. Shoot like a cellphone user and you will get average images at best.
@@bondgabebond4907 yes the ZVE1 has the FX3 sensor and A6700 the FX30 sensor, they are both very good for Video but the ZVE1 is the best for that price, almost no rolling shutter
@@BrionneOlsen the usability is so easy I can literally take quick shot when I'm driving in a city or my wife it doesn't feel like putting a big thing in someone's face also most people don't even know it's a camera haha
Have had mine since last December. Lots of filming outdoor summer events in 80/low 90°F and never over heated. You won’t really see overheating issues with this camera until you’re filming higher frame rates for extended periods of time. The overheating debate was blown out of proportion when this camera came out.
@nevrlow as is for most cameras when it comes to overheating. I personally never experienced any overheating at any point in time during filming. Great camera.

@@rfwhyte can’t agree more. Best value for money and packs a punch far above its weight.
I love this camera. I shot a fitness promo using the sony zv-e1.

During my time using it on a music shoot, no. Not once it it overheat and shut down.
I had it mounted to a windscreen of a car in midday South African sun and it never shutdown.
