What is weird is that the ZV-E10 II is the best advertisement for the a6700. Sony, you priced the ZV-E10 II too high. It should be no higher than $899.
@@benjohnsoncreative What would you recommend for someone who wants to mainly use it for streaming? a6700 overheats. Considering fx30 and ZV-E10 II now. Can ZV-E10 II handle 4k 30fps streaming for hours without melting? I need something reliable...
This is what I call a review 😫👌 you explained well. I have the Sony ZVE10 and i want another camera for a second scene, by watching this video i definitely want to get this one. Not only for the improvement but mostly for the price 😂. Thanks because this video made me to decide faster and cheaper 😅.. Thanks Ben ❤️
Ben your last min part of the video made my day. I was about to start my camera and create my final TH-cam video 'Last Episode'. I was surprise that message resonate with me so strongly. I just wanna say thank you.
Great video! Ya I am buying one just to make TH-cam content on. I pre-ordered black with kit lens. Goal is to take off work for a week and go to town on content. Planning video ideas now.
YEPPP exactly, I couldn't agree more... Originally I wanted to buy this camera for my girlfriend and support her content creation journey, but as an FX3 and A7IV owner I spent hours and hours back then before I purchased my cameras and after watching multiple videos of this ZVE-10 II thanks to You guys (TH-cam community) I just can't say this is a better buy for a starter creator than the Mark I version for $600... that camera with a good prime lens like the Sony 15 f1.4 or a Sigma 16 f1.4 is just a better buy if you not necessarily need slow motion at 4k. If you just wanna vlog, film your TH-cam videos and take quality photos, the Mark I is a better buy or save up and get the A6700, which actually has a mechanical shutter (no bending), IBIS and the AI processor.
Ben! You're back. You've been missed, Mr. Johnson! :) I think I'll stick with my Sony ZV-E10 only because I just bought it and I can't justify the price increase. :) Thanks for the video!
When a new camera drops, go straight to Ben Johnson for truth and nuance! And BTW, if Motion VFX is really your secret sauce for graphics, then hmm, I've always wondered how you pull off those artsy effects.. thanks for the encouragement at the end, all of us creatives need to hear it
Best review I’ve seen yet. Very thorough and simple. The pay disparity feels even heavier here in Aus. Really struggling to justify the M2 with my budget as I’m looking to get 2 cameras for them podcast closeup goodies. Thanks for this! Subbed.
Hi, loved your video. I'm looking for a camera to livestream my makeup video tutorials. Is the the camera you would recommend? Could you also recommend a lens that would allow me to show close up shots of my face? I'm using a canon 90D right now and they havent' updated the software to be compatible with the new apple upgrades. Such a pain.
I just got a ZV-E10, of course they come out with a mk2 😅 I'm good with what I have though, loving it so far. I do plan to get a Sony FX30 at some point since I'm getting more into cinematography and use the ZV-E10 as a secondary. Great video, been binging on your videos as of late!
That’s a good plan! The original is still great, and you’ll love the fx30 when the time comes to upgrade as well. My advice would be to push the original to its limits, then when the time comes to upgrade you’ll appreciate the upgrade more
I'm looking for a new main camera to replace my ZV-E10, which would then become my secondary camera. Initially, I considered the ZV-E10 II, but after watching numerous reviews, I've concluded that the A6700 would be a better choice as my primary camera. It seems like a more significant upgrade for my current setup. I typically shoot content for TH-cam in my studio using a tripod, so features like IBIS or 10-bit aren't crucial for me. Additionally, I use the camera to take pictures of the products I review (I currently use a Panasonic for that). Right now, spending over €1,100 on the ZV-E10 II doesn't seem worthwhile, as I don't think I'd notice a substantial difference from the original ZV-E10. If it was priced around €700-800, it would be a no-brainer. My main concern with the A6700 is losing the ease of use for video production that the ZV series offers. While I know the A6700 has a fast UI accessible through the touchscreen, it's not specifically designed for video, which gives me pause. I'm really torn right now! 😃 Thank you for your review, Ben. I rarely comment, but I've been quietly enjoying your content for a long time. I just wanted to say that you are such an inspiration! 🙏
if u wanna upgrade sky is not the limit sir if u want best of the best u can even use big sony fx 6 for podcast but it depends on if u want to upgrade. Sony zv e10 mark 1 is already good enough for podcast but as i said before if u want to upgrade the newer the better.
You don’t need the capture card with the new mark 2. You can just plug into your USB-c and get up to 4k 30fps to stream. Just make sure you get a usb-c cord that can handle it.

For that use case I’d def recommend this over the iPhone, and pair it with the Ulanzi fan to help ensure no overheating with longer form recording. Nice video, but it feels like you lack knowledge in some places, steadyshot is using lens stabilization so it only work on stabilized lenses, the digtal "jitter" isn't jitter it's the downside of any micro vibration like walking when doing digtal only stabilization compared to in body mechanical stabilization.
You’re right, I could have explained IBIS and mechanical/electronic shutter more and prob should have, but my focus was mainly on the footage results, which are as I said, jittery. Regardless of the terms or reasonings, it’s the result that I care more about and that’s what I was pointing out. Didn’t realize steadyshot was like that.
