@@cammackey For TH-cam they're obviously both fine but for me it's more about the form factor and convenience and the ZV is much more convenient for what I do than the C70. You throw in the dual native iso and you can use it anywhere/anytime(as you know). I had someone shoot BTS for me on one of my AD shoots(for the Navy at night in a river) and he was using the A7SIII. When he gave me that footage I was sold!
@@QuantzPhoto oh the C70 is amazing, one of the only canon cameras that I think swings back at the other camera companies, even in its weird form factor. The FX3 is even more versatile for me tho, it’s crazy. Still not sure if imma buy the ZVE1 or the A7CII tho..
@@cammackey too many choices! 🤣 I'm already packing at least two bodies and lenses for my shoots so the compact size of the ZV makes it a no brainer for BTS TH-cam content. I guess I should probably make a video about it on my channel!
Super underrated. I think all the overheating hype Prbly killed some of its momentum. Literally every compact camera overheats these days tho haha. Even some bigger cameras overheat 😂

Hi Cam! Your comparison video was fantastic! Thank you for pointing out all the details. I'm actually looking for a "B cam" to pair with my FX6. Would you happen to have any recommendations?
I mean if you’re doing pro work for clients and such.. the FX3 all day. The cameras match perfectly. I tried the FX30 too and it’s great, but I prefer the full frame workflow
...I dont think the size difference between the FX3 or the ZV-E1 really mattered in keeping you inconspicuous when you've attached a huge cine telezoom on it... Great video btw!
One thing about the A7CII thats dope is the dynamic range is supposedly quite a bit better than the Fx3 and A7s3 sensors. That's one reason I picked up the A74, just due to the 7k downsample, the DR is absurdly good, however, the rolling shutter can be tough to deal with in full frame mode at longer focal lengths. Would love to see you do a comparison between the DR of the A7CII and the FX3 because you're literally the only one on TH-cam who actually tests dynamic range for real-world use!
It's around half a stop better (12.4 vs 12.9 SNR 2) Bear in mind this is only as a result of better noise performance because of the downsampling. You won't magically get more highlight information at the same exposure values. Like you alluded to already, the A7IV/A7CII is perfect for talking head/studio setups. But anything handheld (plus 4k 60/120) the FX3 sensor is the way to go.
Love you’ve been posting more man! You the bizzness. Haha and yes! I think I have a link in my description for it, it’s from Alphagvrd. It’s jsut a camera skin! Helps keep it from getting beat up whenever I wanna sell it.

I appreciate the honesty! I have an A1 and A7iv which I do love so I don’t need crazy resolution but the option to have one lens and crop in camera when traveling / day to day use does sound nice. I’ve seen reviews of people saying the A7cR video footage is a tad softer than A7cii . They other people say it’s great! . It’d be really cool to hear you compare the two and let the people know why you choose one over another . 🤘🏼 always appreciate your stuff dude!
Out of curiosity why a7cii over the A7Cr? Pro wedding shooter but want a camera for everyday life and I’m trying to make my decision
I already have the a7rv for any photo campaign work. But from what I’ve seen, the CII seems a little more well rounded for both stills and video. But idk, I need to test both out still
What lut were you using with the Tamron. Love the look??
My LUTs! Link in description:)
Awesome video cammackey! Subscribed :)
Amazing video. One of the best I have seen.
Dude - you have great hats. Videos are awesome, too.
I love the colours in your videos xx
amazing content man, really powerful edits
I picked up a ZV-E1 with the 16-35 f/4 and it's been a dream to use for run & gun content creation. All my other cameras are from Canon...uh oh...
Hahaha how are you digging the image quality vs the canon?!
Great video
Love your work brother 🤘🏽🤘🏽
which rig are you using on the fx3
Great video, man!! I think the ZV-E1 is currently underrated and is going to be a big sleeper hit.
Super underrated. I think all the overheating hype Prbly killed some of its momentum. Literally every compact camera overheats these days tho haha. Even some bigger cameras overheat 😂
I had a canon G7x3 that would overheat if I looked at it weird.
I wanted a full frame but was worried about the heat.
Thanks to you Mark I pulled the trigger on the Zv-E1 🙏 and I love it!
And thank you @cammackey for great video and helping to spread the word… this is a great camera
@@cammackey yes I’m doing corporate work and wedding films. Thanks for the great advice
Waiting for A9III sensor to be in a small form factor such as this.
Awesome. Your image looks so amazing. ❤
...I dont think the size difference between the FX3 or the ZV-E1 really mattered in keeping you inconspicuous when you've attached a huge cine telezoom on it... Great video btw!
lol right?! Granted if I took my FX3 I would have rigged it out. Would need a mic on it too
One thing about the A7CII thats dope is the dynamic range is supposedly quite a bit better than the Fx3 and A7s3 sensors.
@@willmannering yeah agreed, you can do pretty well with a gimbal though too on the a74, or with a really heavy handheld rig lol
That powwow footage is SO good! Wow. Also, not sure if you have mentioned this before, but what monitor are you editing on?
Just the Apple Studio Display
The ZV-E1 and the Ronin 4D are my power duo setup
well done man
Best explanation by far. Can tell you know what you're talking about.
Yo! Am I trippin or is your fx3 green?
Confirmed I’m not trippin 😂. Great video. I kinda want the zv!
Love you’ve been posting more man! You the bizzness. Haha and yes! I think I have a link in my description for it, it’s from Alphagvrd. It’s jsut a camera skin! Helps keep it from getting beat up whenever I wanna sell it.
You trying to orange and teal me bro!!!!
BTS = Behind the Scene
En resumen cual es mejor
If your not sure if you can film at the pow wow just go up to the people on the drums and ask. 99% of the time it's going to be yes. Looking forward to the komodo footage of the pow wow next time 🔥🔥🔥
I’ve been going to them all my life, but the ones here in Cali are can be weird cause the tribes got money compared to ones like mine haha
Pow wows are open to the public and all dancers love to be on camera. They're performers after all. Maybe the older generation probably wouldn't want their images used for commercial use, but just be kind and it wouldn't hurt to ask. Checkout my content as I record pow wow events in Arizona
Perfect thanks!!! ps : I really love your tattoos....
“Yea so ahh btw I shot this short little Hollywood Oscar’s winning sequence right quick also just to test out what this camera that I’m reviewing can do cause u kno I’m somewhat of an artist and there’s a timeline so u can just skip it and get on with the review” 🙃🤯🤯 hahah this guys crazy i swear.. such an artist 👏👏👏🫡
Great review!
Waiting for you to test out the new GFx 100 ii 😊
wow i love your filmmaking.
Kinda forgot this camera exists. Making me think!
Really enjoyed this thx!
