    Thank God no carpet in the slides. This is a huge 5th wheel. Love the layout.

    We're glad to see finally no carpet in the living quarters! Carpets are hard to keep clean. However, the lack of windows on the port side are a negative. Often find ourselves in RV parks where the right side of the RV is crowded and the best view is on the left. We know its a balance between cabinets and windows, so even a small window where the stove is would be helpful. Or perhaps a TV that disappears behind a cabinet to reveal a window also helps For us, there just must be windows on both sides like the Gateway 3712RDMB.

    convection micro for sure! Love the no-carpets. Wish they'd put the middlebunk door in the hallway!!!!!! Makes much more storage space in the kitchen if they move the door to the hallway, also, less noisy, and fewer doors running into each other. Love the loft! Wish they'd add a deck off the back, and 2 swivel chairs at that back window instead of the couch, and instead put the couch where the recliners are! You can move chairs to face the tv, you can't so easily move your head to the tv while at the couch. Love the decore for this model!!! Those colors are perfect. Love the storage and counters in the bathroom, and kinda wish they'd take some of the sq ft from the living room and add it to the bathroom ;) Love the layout of the bedroom and layout of that closet!! Love the quality of this brand!! Wish they'd make stronger screens and sturdier windows on alllllllll RV's!!! :)) Awesome vids Josh. Keep up the good work!

    We have never used a convection microwave. I suppose that is why I prefer a regular microwave and a gas oven. I prefer cooking with LP gas and never mind the added convenience of having a gas oven. Nothing like fresh biscuits in the morning when camping. I don't want to fire up a generator in the morning to cook in the microwave in the forest. Just my preference.
    I love the middle bonus room too. I love that it is set up as an office rather than a bunk bed room. You can sit at the couch and see the TV, or you can connect a computer to the TV and have a huge monitor. Great for a couple on the move to have a home office on wheels.
    I absolutely love my OR Light so I can imagine that I would totally love this unit. I'd have to get a bigger truck to pull it. Maybe someday if we go full time this is the unit we would get but until then we are very fond of this company and will stick with what we got.
    Great video Josh!!!

    I love the idea of a convection oven/microwave. I think Open Range is the best for residential interiors. It always makes me wonder what will they add next? Your videos are amazing! Before I buy another camper I will give you a call all the way from Missouri. Thanks Josh!

    CONVECTION micro combo/ NO oven!!! I plan to travel when the weather is ABOVE 50 and therefore it's wise NOT to use a conventional oven while running A/C!!! LOVE the middle bunk bonus room!!! This Open Range is a FAB option for work/camping!!!! :)

    Josh! My wife and I love to watch your rv video reviews! Lol you’re hilarious! We live in Northern Ca and are in the market for an Open Range if we were in your part of the country we would definitely give you our business! Thanks for the great videos my man! Because of your videos we are always 100% more knowledgeable then the salesmen about the rvs we go and see!

      At least allow our team the fair opportunity to earn your business. Something you may not realize: How RV shipping works in this industry.
      ALL Open Range laminated RVs are built in Northern Indiana. That means our dealership being so close pays nearly no shipping from the factory to get them here whereas a west coast dealer could easily pay upwards of $3,000.
      Aftermarket shipping typically runs less per mile than factory shipping. So either way it has to get hitched to a truck and sent that direction whether it comes from our place to you or from the MFG to some backyard dealer close to you.
      All I ask is you pick up the phone and allow our team to quote something out with or without shipping as you please. It's a fair request in exchange for the information we've provided.

    Convection, with furrion oven. Effectively a double oven, I do like cookies ;-)

    Convection for the flexibility. As for the loft, like the offerings from other manufacturers, it renders the already small bonus room a claustrophobic experience. Would rather have a bunk in lieu of a loft while utilizing sleeping capacity in the living room.

  • @robert5008

    Convection, gives the cook more options and please tell my why RV company`s don`t give you a option of turning the bunk room into a real office? Get rid of the couch & install a real size desk so I can look outside while I`m sitting at the desk in my office chair. I know most people say your not suppose to work in a RV but a lot of people do & also live full time in these units. Sorry I had to vent. Thank you Josh

    Convection is great. By the way, this is the floor plan we like but 1 thing would make it a Home run... a second bathroom. Families mean more than 2 peolpe.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only place you could logically smash a 2nd bath onto a mid bunk is between the kitchen and bonus room. That would extend the RV significantly and result in pin weight or tail overhang issues.
      What you're seeking might better be found in this one's sister - the 374BHS Open Range.

    like the fact that there is no carpeting and it does appear to have the same amount of storage as our montana hickory. the desk does not appear to be very large in the bonus room/ looks nice would need to see actual unit.

    Has there been any change in the no carpet in the bedroom option? I really love this model but if it comes down to the carpet in the bedroom and the MHC doesn't have it, I will go with the MHC.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They're "working on" removing bedroom carpet from Open Range wide body fifth wheels. I agree it seems odd they have carpet there, but not in the living room. I think most folks would prefer totally carpetless. Montana, yet again, got ahead of the curve on that one.

  • @lauramurdoch5155
    @lauramurdoch5155 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just curious, why do rv planners insist on that extra door into the bathroom? It seems to take away from wall space storage. If you are a couple traveling just the two of you, you don't need that extra door. If you are traveling with others, you can't close them off from the bathroom so again there is no need for that master bedroom entry into the bathroom. How many extra steps is it to go through the hallway anyway? :)

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not the designers who insist on the 2nd bath entry door -- but consumers. RV Builders try to build what sells, and right now 2nd entry bathrooms are popular.
      And this is why we carry so many different brands. I think you might really enjoy the Cougar, Montana High Country, and Montana series of fifth wheels as they do not add in that 2nd door you seem not to prefer.
      For instance this High Country Montana is a near-match from a floorplan perspective for the Open Range 371MBH: bit.ly/2CJi7CJ

    Convection microwave for sure. Delete the gas oven for more storage and add a Furion stove top. Does this have the option for two 15K AC units or just one 15 and a 13.5 in the bedroom?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      15+13.5 is the available combination from the factory right now. There's an outside chance we could write in a custom upgrade for a 15k low profile bedroom air like those used on the 3x models since they're actually built within the same facility on the same production line.
      We have the ability to swap the 13.5 for a 15 here at the store, but it will cost significantly more than a factory install.

    Hey Josh, first of all thanx for ya entertainment you add to these videos, second you have sold us on buying Open range for sure. My question about the carpet, I loooove the no carpet but will they do make the no carpet in the bed room at all?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Production challenges with the slide out. They know it feels like an oversight & are working on it. I hope they figure it out sooner than later because it would be awesome.

    • @thats_mr_b_
      @thats_mr_b_ 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haylett RV oh ok ok. So I’m assuming that’s not something me and my girlfriend can do?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think it'd really be something hard to accomplish. I've never been given what I feel is a real answer as to why there's carpet in their bedrooms and not their living rooms. I think Montana has no carpet in bedrooms now (have to double check... I see a LOT of RVs and they blend after a while).
      I think it's more of one of those things where someone literally just never thought of it on their production end & are waiting for a model change cycle to "update" it.

    • @thats_mr_b_
      @thats_mr_b_ 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haylett RV interesting, well I can imagine some of the troubles I would run in to, first im far from a professional haha. I also assume I would be hurting the warranty. We have a emotional support dog is why I ask so keeping him out of carpet areas is something I would be tempting to do but I don’t want to make him feel left out you know? We shall see. We will do a rotation or 2 with our job before we buy but are looking into buying mid or late janurary. We will be full timers and looking at doin this for 8 years so lots to consider and learn. I still have to do research on pick up trucks too.

    Because, the propane oven is a little harder to adjust proper timeing and heat🙄 Myself I prefer the confection oven ..

      It's the CO detector that keeps your family safe in the event of low power/power loss. Getting rid of it would mean disconnecting a safety system which we will not do. Open Range models have their detectors tuned to chirp at lower voltage levels than most brands.
