    Excellent review as usual. I have the same model, picked it up a month ago, and I’ll watch every video of it that I can. We absolutely love it. Being 6’5” made it a no-brainer (literally) with the amazing upstairs headroom on top of the stunning 2018 aesthetic redesign. FYI, convection microwave is an option on the North Point, too (the one out of a thousand detail you didn’t happen to remember). Nice work.

      The headroom in the bedroom (RHYME TIME!) is something I rarely remember to mention in Jayco's FWs. Things like our Eagles, Cougars, Montanas, or Open Ranges definitely have comfortably walking bedrooms, but NOTHING like a North Point or Pinnacle. They're SO much more spacious up there.

      @tomm_d 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you happen to know the secret to their magic? I can’t seem to figure out how they pull it off. Even with the radiused roof they’re no taller than the competition at 13’6” max height, and they have a ton of height in the basement storage compartments, and the insulation thickness under the master is industry leading. So where do they find this height?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Basically they just don't taper the roof as much. Other brands start to taper the nose downward earlier. Jayco's upper deck roofline is largely linear until the roof is INSIDE the noose cap.

    That pass through door in the bunk room? An enclosed toilet in its place would keeps folks out of the main bathroom and give the kids a restroom of their very own. 😊

    Since my son is almost 6' tall and still growing, I find that the bunks are usually a concern. That's what I find great about the mid-bunk with a huge loft bed. How long are those loft beds (though I realize he could always go a bit diagonal since they are so wide)?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      61" x 74"
      Most bunks are 74" long targeted to the littles (whereas you have a Big lol)

    • @jdice6868
      @jdice6868 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thx for the measurements. Once our son outgrows his 5' 10.5" dad I'll just have to make dad and his CPAP sleep on the loft:), though I'm sure it will go over like a fart in church.

    The living room/kitchen area has ducted AC, but the master bedroom doesnt.? Is that right?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Incorrect. Fully ducted throughout. Both A/C units have their own thermostats and share whole house ducting.

    Can i change out a conventional refrigerator for a gas and electric refrigerator in this unit? If so what would the cost be? Great job with the video!

      Is it possible? Yes.
      Is it cost effect? No.
      What factors influence your preference for the Residential refrigerator?

    Hey josh, we are considering this one but how does she compare to her older sister the Pinnacle? Thank you very much.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Other than pinnacle being wider body they have the exact same construction materials and methods. Pinnacles are just larger basically.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You may also consider reviewing the Open Range mid-bunk here: bit.ly/2oGJIQB
      It's highly similar to a North Point's equipment package, but with a wider body and deep slide that actually gives it a bigger living room than even the Pinnacle.

    Can the euro bunk be added to this model?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep! Generally speaking you can apply that feature to any North Point or Pinnacle with a rear sofa & cabinets above.

    Dose anyone know what happened to the jayco designer fifth wheels from 2016 and 2017? Can they still be ordered or made.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They had no unique floorplans vs. the Pinnacle, and the popularity of the Pinnacle was simply overwhelming by comparison. They had to remove the Designer from their lineup to keep up with Pinnacle demand.
      They are not available as special builds on orders. They simply are no more no longer. But several of the Designer's features were integrated into the Pinnacle series. Add full body paint and you basically have a Designer again.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Look around the 13:40 mark. The curtain is simply drawn.

  • @MrGoodtime1301
    @MrGoodtime1301 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Josh, any idea how long the flip down bunk in the bonus room is? Will it fit an adult if need be?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      30" x 62", 300lb rated.
      Sized for a kid sleeper. Heavy enough for an adult sleeper.
      If you need bigger beds in a middle bunk, then you'll want to look at something like:

    What are the main differences between this one and the eagle 355?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      North Point is physically larger (Primarily taller) - it's very noticeable when you're inside one. Different roof truss system as well.
      This one has more of middle "bonus room" that could function as a 2nd living area and office with loft above.
      The eagle as more of a purist "middle bunk" with no loft.
      North Point = Stackable Ready
      Eagle = Combo W/D ready
      NP = Drop Frame
      Eagle = Straight Frame
      NP = Larger Goodyear Tires

      Haylett RV thank you! This really helps me narrow it down to which one I want. I am 6ft 4 so the more space, the better!

      Gotcha, can I just have you give me your honest opinion if getting the Eagle version of this North Point is worth the extra money?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't care about or need the exterior interior height of the North Point for the bedroom whisper air, then Eagle is going to be the better fit for you.

    • @-allergic2u-872
      @-allergic2u-872 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I said Eagle and meant Pinnacle. There is a Pinnacle with a somewhat similar floor plan of this North Point.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Either way your question is "Is it worth it?" And that's not a question for me to answer. That's a question for you to answer.
      Is the wider body & dual whisper air on a pinnacle worth it to you?
