Debussy’s music is like impressionistic drawing, but with some naughty figures flying around all over the canvass. It’s like river of most brilliant stars flowing into heaven, and like a ballerina with feet that never know when to stop and that you always fail to chase after. I’ve heard that during his era, such usage of different chords and patterns were very revolutionary. Debussy’s pieces always have changed and are often overwhelming, and that’s how we like it. And I’m new to Ravel, but I always wanted to listen to his pieces. I didn’t know where to start, and I found this. Thank you so much Halidon Music! I also love your choice of paintings!
Thank you for your lovely comment, such beautiful images to describe Chopin's music 🥰💕 We're so glad this video came at the right moment so you could get to know Ravel like you wished to 🌷
The montage of artworks featured coupled by the music composed by the two leading exponents of musical impressionism as interpreted by the most brilliant of pianists and musicians today makes this latest upload from exquisitely sublime. Thank you, HM.
@@arthurmorgan3761 From the drawers of my mind, probably? But I honestly prefer a dictionary than a thesaurus. You see Arthur, growing up scant with material comforts has its benefits. As a child, I didn't have toys. What I had instead at my disposal were old books and a thick, tattered dictionary owned previously by my elder siblings. That experience helped me become fluent in English at an early age probably around 6 or by the time I was in grade 1. Japanese and French were the foreign languages I mastered next. I am from the Philippines. Nice to meet you. Happy listening to Ravel and Debussy.
The Power of music is unbelievable. I have a very bad cold 🤒but listening to Debussy-Ravel is sublime. Thank you very much HM I love piano . Wishing you all the best🙏
Oh, thank you so much, Friends HalidonMusic, it is the playlist that I expected, in addition with splendid works of art 🙏😍🤩💓💝❤🎶🎹🎶❤👌💘 I come back to the end 😘 A real enchantment for this Impressionist Classical Music interpreted, and I repeat myself, by talented pianists associated with all these wonderful masterpieces in painting. Thank you for this new playlist! I listen to classical music every day, especially during my working days, pure happiness. At least one of your playlists accompanies me every day! 👌👍🙂
Debussy and Satie would have been nice, too. But I don't know a lot of Ravel so this will open me up to some new music. Good music to start the day - love Debussy!
@@HALIDONMUSIC Actually listening to it now. I missed it, I was in the hospital around then and apparently missed it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Love it!
Belíssimo👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻. Se eu soubesse que a música impressionista exalava este som tão agradável eu teria escutado durante o tempo em que estudei Impressionismo na Escola
These are beautiful renderings of master works by master composers. I do wish that you had given due credits to the painters, as well. After all, many of the these great musical compositions were inspired by the paintings of the great impressionist artists whose paintings you used in the video segment of your blog post. Thanks for sharing.
Merci pour cette sublime compilation La musique impressionniste reproduit fidèlement, et avec infiniment de bonheur, les jeux de reflets et de lumière qui enchantent notre séjour
Wow I’ve never heard a better rendition of Ravel’s Toccatta, sounds so effortless and passionate, and I know first hand how challenging that piece is ahhh who is the pianist?
Excellent pieces selected, HOWEVER, the recording levels are extremely erratic, making volume adjustment constant. It is easier to find another selection to listen to quite frankly.

Debussey hated being called an Impresoonist. Debusseys freind. Ravel didn't really seem to care.
