    Hello. I saw your discussion with Simioni in the Reiza's forum. Please don't take it personal. Not only he's a bit aggressive sometimes but we are living something here in Brazil that we thought was long gone - and I'm talking about real censorship, a real dictatorship in course. And yes, sadly, it's affecting games directly, through more taxes, what can and cannot be said, etc.
    So every concerned Brazilian is a little bit aggressive nowadays. A little on the edge.
    I love your work. Not only AMS2 related. I hope you keep producing good content.

    In two weeks I'm going to this circuit (just 40 minutes from home) as Tarumã is back to the calendar after a good years out as it lacked some safety features. Also, this will be the last years with V8s as 2.0 litre inline 4s will replace them next season while the JL09 chassis will also be replaced. It can be said that AMS2 will be there to relive these cars once 2024 comes, and so it is with some of the content that's already out of the real tracks.
    When release day comes test the announced Sigma P1 G5, it's a monster of a machine and certainly the safest prototype we have here in Brazilian soil.

    • @morinho87
      @morinho87 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting that they make the same move to turbo 4s that DTM did before moving from the Class1 prototypes to GT3s. I know they were struggling alot with vibration and therefore reliability, especially in the first season

    • @Minamoto67
      @Minamoto67 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@morinho87 Apparently the move is intended to bring a regulation parity with TC2000, with further plans to have a joint race in Argentina and one here in Brazil. With no models confirmed, the possibility of following TC2000's move to SUV models is there too.

    Thanks for highlighting the new 2023 Stock Car Pro Series in AMS2. While the teams and drivers wait for the finalized 2023 specs-will the new Hankooks remain paired with the 2020/22 wing as used in Interlagos or will the series revert to the 2019 wing as originally planned?-we simracers wait for Reiza to import those changes into AMS2. Can’t get more real than that!

    The Stock cars have always been very good. Your favourite overtaking spot is the same place I can pretty much send a move every lap unless the AI are 2 wide there. It’s my big gripe with AMS2 that there is at least 1 gimme corner on every track.

    Started running a championship with the '22 cars. Unfortunately the more races I did the more I realised how lacking the AI are. I tuned them initially (AI 108 / Aggression medium) so that I would be qualifying around 10th.
    In races I found that if I was in trouble early on I could just pit at the start of the window and they would lose so much time fighting amongst themselves that by the time they made their stops and rejoined I would find myself in 1st. I could never be sure if they were using the boost function and if they were certainly not in any intelligent way. Then the fact they run on a different physics model meant there were some corners, such as the chicane at the Galeo? airport track, where if I had them behind me I felt in constant danger of getting punted as they were so much faster. I saw someone else describe the racing the AI like a Hollywood movie. They were spot on. It looks spectacular at first glance but dig deeper and there is little of substance. A shame as I really like how the car drives and the diverse selection of circuits they race on.
    With the recent update I've thus far spent most of my time lapping the '71 'ring in the Formula Retro Gen 1 cars.

    I played ams2 for the first time in months this week and the AI is still as crap as it was in 2022! Every race in any car is the exact same race. They race in packs, create convoys, they are super hesitant to over take each other, the top three or fours cars always finish within a couple of seconds of each other even when I do 50 minute races, mandatory pit stop and multi class. It looks beautiful, but for me it’s nothing more than a hot lap weather sim and the least compelling game for racing either offline or online. It’s such a shame because it could be an amazing game, but it’s so boring and doesn’t simulate the enjoyment of racing.

    • @jamesleegte
      @jamesleegte ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jonasclementdk for both online and offline racing, RF2 and Raceroom are my two sims of choice. I’d love for ams2 to be in my regular rotation as I enjoy all it has to offer from a car set up and driving experience, but outside of hot lapping there’s nothing else to do. I joined a league once and that was a janky affair every race. With mandatory pit stops, three of the drivers pit crew every race refused to change their tyres, we had to abandon rolling starts because it kept switching pole and second place and I can’t tell you the amount of times drivers got kicked moving from quali to the actual race. I wish I could love this game, but I play it for a couple of hours every few months and then I’m quickly reminded why I hadn’t played it in months.

      @@jamesleegte No major issues for me personally, luckily, however I agree that R3E smokes AMS2 when it comes to online. rF2, never got that one feeling quite good on my system before abandoning it. @@jonasclementdk RF2 I couldn’t agree more,I’ve spent so many hours getting RF2 dialled in and I have the added pain of being a vr driver haha Honestly, they have put so much work into the UI and settings and it’s a lot more user friendly, especially compared to five years ago when I first purchased it. Once you have it dialled in, it does become plug and play, but you have to invest a whole Saturday pretty much getting it dialled in, crazy but true. Do you have any VR tips - for me the UI and HUD arr way too close by default
