If you were a reputable business owner, you would have honored the warranty on my engine that your technician, Brenton Brown, who was on your payroll, blew up after only 3,000 miles. Instead, your manager hung up the phone and failed to rectify the situation. How honorable is that? Your company took on the build and assumed responsibility and therefore should have honored the 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty. It's all in the tune; it over-spun the supercharger. Two separate mechanics said that the 2.7 supercharger cannot handle a 2.85 pulley, and the tune is critical. Wow!!! How honorable is that?
@lennyz1909 To be fair, they are known for their GTR builds, and I am sure they will do right by you. My issue is unique because they took over the building from a piece of crap owner at Forza Performance who screwed a bunch of customers by spending all our deposit money. I waited two years, and Cicio took over the building and kept the owner/tech on board to finish the builds. That dude didn't give a crap and screwed me. My supercharger rotary pack came apart, and metal went into my engine. They should have done the right thing and fixed the engine and replaced the supercharger or offered something. If the owner wants to do the right thing, he can reach out to me, and I will ship him my original engine for him to repair. Do the right thing!!!
I’m very sorry for your situation. I was very sorry for all of the Forza customers when they went out of business. The unfortunate reality is that you gave your money to a company that went belly up. My involvement was to try to help Brenton and all of you guys by reaching in my pocket, buying the parts to finish all the cars and get them done. Standing behind false promises that a bankrupt business made is not something I feel ethically bound to given I didn’t tell him or any of the customers that I would. It sucks honestly because the reality is we have gone way way out of our way to try to help all of the ex Forza customers, spend tons of money that we didn’t have to just to try to help all of the car guys who got lied to by them. Again, I’m super sorry for the situation, and hate any car enthusiast be unhappy, but your fight isn’t with me. Brenton took your money, Brenton tuned your car. I just dropped my car off for the TT install yesterday and then saw this video this morning. Now I want to power-coat my turbos as well. I gotta stay off this channel:) Keep up the good work.
I dropped mine off and Joe walked me around the shop when the motor was out of the orange car. Parts should be there any day now. Looking forward to picking my car up. Great video. If the media guy is free we can go do some pulls and video.
Ok so the C8 ZR1 has no turbo lag . The waste gates are sealed and the turbos are always in boost . At 1064 hp , this twin turbocharged V8 behaves like a supercharged vehicle with the efficiency of the turbos. That's a recipe for surprise and maybe disaster for the hammer foot that doesn't know how to stop joy riding.
Can you compare taking a base c8 with all the parts to make its power equal to the new c8 zr1 price wise. I'm looking at 200k for track edition c8z or 120to140 for base twin turbo of about 900 chp
I thought I see somewhere cam getting installed with out dropping motors. They took seats out and thought there was entry from inside cab. Does anyone know about this?
What's the difference in the lsd diff on the base c8 vs the z51 c8 with lsd e diff. Can you do donuts in the base c8. Or do you need z51 with e diff.what kind of diff does the base c8 have
You ask what we would like to see I would like to hear from the tech and tuner and all the issues with these cars after they are modified and what you did to fix it there's a few problems with these cars that aren't being spoken about
91 is such an unstable fuel, especially for a high compression boosted application. I wouldn’t push one more than 650-700hp absolute max and even that would make me nervous
1) The ZR1 is not out yet, the car won’t be rolling out of the factory for another year. 2) did you really compare a $60k stingray to what most likely will be a $200-250k MSRP ZR1? Lmao. If you want one you’ll be paying a premium mark up, don’t be surprised if dealer mark up makes ZR1’s around $300-350k…. You could literally build a 1500whp stingray for around $120-150k all in that will smoke a ZR1 and take that $200k you would spend on a ZR1 and put it in the bank lol.
@CGlhut3 and you think they can just print these things out of the shop like clockwork? Do you also think these things are going to be as reliable? Do you think people can finance a $120k build through a shop instead of a car deaship with a credit based loan? Also, you're assuming the car will have a 200k plus sticker. Even if it does, 120k into a 60k corvette isn't a smart move. You must be one weirdos who think their tuned shitbox is worth something because you spent the money first.
@@DSOXBLADE yes, they 100% can print these out like clock work. I bet this build is probably a 4-6 week lead time. UGR builds 2000+whp TT lambo start to finish in 6-8 weeks. Legit shops like cicio have great turn around times. Do I think a 700hp build can reliable? Of course, you’d be silly to think otherwise. This isn’t the late 90’s/ early 2000’s. 700hp is nothing these days. This isn’t a $120k build either. This build is probably all in for $30-40k. When I said $120-150k for a 1500whp c8 I was saying the build + the car would be all in for $120-150k (conservative numbers, most likely less). The actual build cost itself for 1500whp is probably around $70-80k.
I agree fully that HP is the last thing needed to add to a track car... however it does help :) We have a 650hp C8 track dedicated car that runs circles around a Z06 at Road Atlanta. ~Nathan Cicio
True, but will cost you about $200k more than this car. You could literally have a TT stingray and an audi R8 (which sounds way better than a TT 5.5) for the price of what the new ZR1 will be after dealer mark ups.
hey, video quality not good!!!!!!! just joking nice video and tech, never think about air straighteners!!! always learning something new keep the video coming love them
It’s inefficient. Turbos should be closer to the engine bay and headers. Intercoolers allow for most boost. Rear mounted has neither. Also rear mounted is exposed to the elements, which leads to corrosion.
this car can manage due to its torque, however it’s still less efficient. The laws of thermodynamics do not change. I’m not sure what kind of cam he’s adding but if it’s top end, then it may not help as much out the hole. The ZR1 has turbos in the engine bay for a reason. You should only spot turbos out the back as a last resort. If you’re a grudge racer you will understand that every edge matters. I like seeing variety though it’s still a sweet build

Well I think you just said two different things. They do run very well, but you are correct that I wish the clutches shifted more firm. However saying they don’t run well is false, driving a C700 car daily is an absolute blast! Appreciate your comment
