Great video and a lot of work here. I know because I have paid to get all these parts installed on my 2024 HTC Z06. I would love to see what happens after the reset of the long term fuel trims.
Good vid. I saw more gains from the soler personally but I had stock intake at the time and a different combo( cat deletes). Awesome, really appreciate the time you guys took to do this. Based on your experiences here, it looks to me like the best mods were 1) Eventuri intake followed by 2) Kooks headers. Ported throttle bodies were a victim of diminishing returns, and the stock exhaust in track mode is already pretty maxed out flow-wise (although perhaps the weight savings of a titanium exhaust makes it worthwhile for those who are very focused on shaving every lb possible off their Z06). Is that a fair summary? Also, speaking of weight savings, any insight on the comparative weights of the stock intake vs. Eventuri intake and the stock headers vs. Kooks headers? Just curious. Thanks again for the very helpful vid from a fellow Floridian!
It was our pleasure. Wasn't easy, but worth it in the end if it helps even one person. You have to consider one thing, this experiment was testing the cumulative results of each mod...not each mod by itself with all else being stock. There are already a ton of videos on youtube that show individual part results on stock cars. None of them show this type of result. And let's be honest, who adds ONE mod and nothing else? NO ONE. At a min, most folks are going to add an intake, and exhaust....so I felt that this test was more realistic in that respect. The Eventuri def picks up power. I showed that. I would also pair that with a set of the throttle bodies since you are already working in that area. Second would be a custom exhaust of some sort - from a performance stand point and weight saving stand point...and SOUND. WIN WIN. Hope this helps.
Funny enough, I have not yet been able to test JUST the headers on a stock car. I provided the vehicle to Kooks to build the first set at their facility, but the car was tested on another dyno, not mine. As soon as I install just a set of headers on a Z06, we will create another video on that...
Great video - really good information - my set ups is similar, Eventuri, AWE Switchpath Exhaust, Soler Perf 87MM TB's (moving to the 91's soon) - highly considering the Kooks headers - 👍👍👍
If you were to race two of these with the exact same mods / driver weight would they both be about even or would a "monday car" like this one lose? Really considering selling my c6 z06 for one of these and i'm kind of surprised how low this car was compared to the others. Great video!!!
@@jarrettsherry3072 all I can tell you is this….despite the low baseline…the car is fast as shit. The client LOVES it and has raced several fast cars- and has beat or hung with all of them. It’s a different ride compared to a c6 z06…you’ll miss the punch of that LS7 but love the additional 1500 RPM!!!
What's up Eric! Very curious to see when the ECU finally gets unlocked when they could start doing heads and cams then a 7.0L 427 that revs to the Moon would have to produce at least 850+Hp if the blocks can be Strokes the future is very bright for these cars which is really cool.
I'd like to see some testing of the FabSpeed high flow cats on a Z06. Fabspeed has their HP/TQ claims but I'd really want to see someone else test them.
Keep in mind, the gains are cumulative. Just how we wanted to structure this test. If we had tested each product by itself on an otherwise stock car, gains would have been more significant from product to product. That being said, it is rare that someone just puts ONE mod on their vehicle. More likely they will add a combo of parts, like we did, so that is what we thought would have more value to the viewer in the end.
I think also it’s important to remember these mods would be helpful for some future mods that may be in the cars future. Kind of how upgrading part of the fuel system may not result in hp gains but without that some future mods would have less impact overall.
Not saying that "a 2hp or 3hp gain is a waste of money" and giving an "A" is wild. To go thru an exhsust "upgrade" for the time and money spent for that Valvetronic Exhaust for a measly 2hp is ridiculous. Hard pass.
From a HP stand point, I agree with you. From a torque standpoint, it performed well. Overall quality and fitment and sound made up for the lack of performance. If I could add 4-5 degrees of timing to this car it would have picked up more peak power without a doubt. When I grade the parts, I considered all aspects, not just the power gain. I appreciate your feedback though thanks for checking out the video and commenting…that’s why I make these!
I have heard the valvetronic in person... alone it is much quieter then stock exhaust, complete waste of money - it changes the tone, but it basically just takes out all the drama people like about the stock exhaust
There’s still a lot of people that have no idea how good the stock exhaust is on corvettes since at least 2008 + NPP option . You don’t pick up hp with new mufflers on a vette
@ that’s not quite true- I’ve picked up HP and TQ on stock C8’s with the addition of a Corsa catback. Nothing crazy but I have…guess it depends on the set up
You guys need to test the mods individually and not as a group. There is diminishing returns when you keep piling on each mod and dyno. Yes… the total package numbers are important for sure but this isn’t representative of EACH individual mod. That’s what most people want to know. We try to do mods independently and I’ll tell you it’s a TON of work. Market the gains as a package and yes those numbers matter when you are all in but many folks may only do some of these mods. Good job….. I know how much work this is!! And we try to represent each individual mod as best we can even to the point of installing and removing LOL. Yah we are crazy!
While I don’t disagree with you- let’s face it- there are already a lot of videos out there that do something similar to that. Also- this is a clients car and we were on a time constraint….i would have loved to put a part on, then put it back to stock afterwards- but reality of this business is we also need to get the car done for the client. We saw this as an opportunity to modify and test the products in the same way someone out in the real world probably would. We started with the most basic mod- an intake. Then we went from there. Same way most consumers will out there. No one starts with headers in other words. Thank you for your feedback.

What was the mid range HP gain on Eventuri only? Your peak HP gains on Eventuri only are inline, but the Eventuri was created to address midrange, not peak. TB & Eventuri do not stack well its be proven on several Dyno runs. Zero need to pair IMO and some customers have removed the 91mm combination because of backwards performance. There’s a reason the 91mm was pulled off the shelf for a while. Maybe I missed which size TV you tested. IMO the Z06 “needs” one mode, Eventuri. Anything after is a diminishing HO return offering mainly sound and weight reductions, which has value to some. Believe you said your testing was over three days which OBV isn’t apples to apples. Appreciate the content.
It shows the dyno of the Eventuri only which includes mid-range at 8:20. The testing over three days had same engine temps and used STD CF on the dyno which was also shared. How is that not apples to apples?
@ You think the DA and conditions are the same from day to day? He’s talking about gains of 2-5hp which easily can be explained with changing conditions not mod performance.
Appreciate the honest review. A few youtubers are out there saying the throttle bodies are adding 15 to 25 hp, which I figured was way over inflated. Did you ever reset the long-term fuel trims like you said at the beginning of the video, and what was the impact, or did i miss that?
@@24c8z06 NP, we call it like we see it- let the people decide. We aren’t endorsed or paid by any of these vendors so… We reset trims and he’s been driving it around now for a few weeks. @@floridahighperformance really appreciate this. Quick question do you think a throttle body with the soler throttle control with the attack filter is good as a combo for z51
@ that’s the final power at the end of the video. The modding and testing was cumulative- I installed a part and tested- installed the next part and tested…and so on….
561 was stock base. 581 was the current power output with the first set of mods before I added the valvetronic exhaust….the mod power results were cumulative throughout the video. I didn’t mods and then demod the car- I added one mod at a time starting with an intake and progressively added another mod in the sequence I thought makes sense…
Nice looking exhaust but without HFCs or tuning, that car will have a continuous CEL. LT6 won't tolerate straight cat delete pipes no matter how you space the O2s.
Great video…. But… the stock C8Z already has enough problems launching with stock torque 😂. Wish GM would have just stock a basic small block 427 in the car. Just my two cents
@floridahighperformance thank you for the video as it was helpful. It's been almost 5 years since the C8. I don't think GM will unlock computer for various reasons, only they know. They might be concerned over drivability issues or transmission issues. Time will tell.
I understand that the C8 ecu has been unlocked by ec tuners and others as seen on other youtube videos by @ completestreetperformance and @boostdistrict @jesseteague2975
The C8 in general offers poor ROI in most cases. Just how it goes. ROI will improve when we can tune the car…but yes, the “corvette tax” is real with the C8 in general- more so with the Z06

Final part of vid should have been all the addons and see if the total of the individual parts makes the same as all of the parts together.
@@GregGardiner-cg9dt testing was cumulative- not parts by themselves. The final results are ALL the parts installed vs stock
@@superchargederay though that's true it would have an affect on SAE numbers. They use correction factor to remove that variable.
We aren’t endorsed or paid by any of these vendors so…
We reset trims and he’s been driving it around now for a few weeks. I’d like to put it back on the dyno soon and just make a hit and see what happens…I’ll update it in the description if I see gains or losses. You can also follow us on IG where I do a lot of follow up posts on our videos. Thanks
@@floridahighperformance really appreciate this. Quick question do you think a throttle body with the soler throttle control with the attack filter is good as a combo for z51
@@jaditention1713yeah should work well
So with all those parts fitted together, what were the gains please? LMR got big gains with throttle body and eVenturi together
@ that’s the final power at the end of the video. The modding and testing was cumulative- I installed a part and tested- installed the next part and tested…and so on….
At time stamp 5.54 you said it made 561 HP baseline and at 13.58 you said 581 HP base. I'm probably missing something here.
Got it, I mistakenly thought you were undoing each mod back to stock to test each mod independently.
My bad.
Great video by the way. 👌
Nice looking exhaust but without HFCs or tuning, that car will have a continuous CEL. LT6 won't tolerate straight cat delete pipes no matter how you space the O2s.
1000 miles since the work. No CEL. Luck of the draw I guess, others get CEL. Can't wait for tuning...good god these things will scream.
Great video…. But… the stock C8Z already has enough problems launching with stock torque 😂. Wish GM would have just stock a basic small block 427 in the car. Just my two cents
@@finwaydiddy1977 427 would have been epic
spend 7 grand to pick up another 40 horsepower
"Corvette Tax" is real with the C8 brother!
A lot of money for .3 or .4 tenths gain at the drag strip. Too each their own.
Agree and agree - C8 isnt a cheap car to mod...but remember tuning eventually will really help us make more with these mods!
@floridahighperformance thank you for the video as it was helpful. It's been almost 5 years since the C8. I don't think GM will unlock computer for various reasons, only they know. They might be concerned over drivability issues or transmission issues. Time will tell.
$5k in parts, $5k in labor, for +75hp +75tq. Seems like a crappy ROI to me.
So a car that you can't tune makes that hp and tq show me big brother this is very impressive
@@jesseteague2975bingo - and the sound…my god
@jesseteague2975 what? I have no clue what you are saying. Is that english?
