      Hey Jim, Oh yes… He would stay out and play in the snow all day if i let him.. First thing he does when i let him out is sticks his head in the snow and rolls.. making Dog angels in the snow. LOL Take Care buddy.. ❄️❄️

    I live in Lower North Central Peninsula of Michigan... lots of light snow. I blow the porches off with my Stihl leaf blower every two-three inches... saves my back, I'm 74 yo and got heart troubles...
    Nice Snowblower outfit... Suggest you get a cab..

      Hey Captain Seamus, Thanks for stopping by to check out the video. It's appreciated. Good idea !! I can see where using a leaf blower would definitely make it alot easier over shoveling.👍🏼 I have my eye on a Mauser Cab, maybe one day. The Mauser cab has full glass all around and heat and they're one of the nicest ones made for the 1025r's Take Care

    That tractor handles the blower well. Makes removing snow a breeze! And more snow for riding!

      Hey J, Welcome back buddy. Yeah it’s been dumping the white gold daily the last 3 days.. I’m lovin it. Picked up another 4-5” last night.. I’ll call my dealer this morning to find out the possible bad news that my T-cat got pushed out till mid Feb. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 THINK MORE SNOW ❄️❄️

      Exactly the set-up I am saving for except I plan to have a cab. Seems like everytime I have to blow snow w/ my walk behind Ariens there is a west or north wind blowing it all back on me which is why I have a cab on it.

They never live long enough and I wanted to have as many days with him as i could. 😉❤️🐶 Take care buddy.

    That snowblower attachment is sweet 👍 My terrain in the Catskills isn't that nice and flat😆I had to make a Set of ice biter chains for the rear Tires off one if my old Chevy plow trucks! If I was on a smooth surface it's like riding in square wheels, but the traction is amazing 👍👍 Heading up to old forge in a little bit you guys have a great trip as well 👍

Next time I will work from the middle out the tractor is like a bull dozer with the blower on it and the Atv ice screws and 500 pounds on the back made it push like a D 8 dozer your video was great to compare performance I enjoyed it

    Great...enjoyed watching that...Nothing wrong with that setup...Moved a lot of heavy snow ...fast...Perfect size for what you are doing...If you plowed out...you would have a mess of snow everywhere...and start running out of space quickly with the amount of snow you can get there...with your blower...it just disappears...I was thinking about having to use a shovel as kids...would take half a day to clear half as much snow as you just did...but it was fun...did you grow up in that area?

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Sean, Yes.. grew up out in the country not far from here. When I was young I remember having to shovel “ALOT” of snow. I can remember there being 4 to 5 foot snowbanks at the end of the driveway from the plo, and it was hard packed. Took me hours just to shovel that part. Then when I got in my teens my granddad taught me how to use his John Deere 140 garden tractor with a single stage snowblower on it and that was a Godsend.. No more shoveling. 😁

    Looks like a great snow removal rig! Been trying to convince my dad to upgrade to something like this…. In the Lake Superior snow belt also with a lot of big snows. Have you done any comparisons between the Deere compared to similar from Kubota and Bobcat on their compact tractors? Have you been happy with the size of yours or ever wish for bigger for snow removal? Thanks in advance.

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Hound Stuff,
      Before this 1025r, I owned a new JD 2520 which is a larger framed 25hp tractor with the same 54" snowblower but with more lifting capacity. The 2520 lifted more with the bucket but it also took up a lot more room in my garage and that is why I sold it and downsized to the 1025r. As far as Kubota or Bobcat, you'll find a lot of opinions on what's the best depending on who you talk to..
      Since I've been doing TH-cam one thing i have noticed is tractor guys are some of the most opinionated people around when it comes to brand loyalty, Aside from snowmobilers !!. 😀
      I chose John Deere because I was raised on them. My Grandad owned them as far back as 1968 and when I was old enough I wanted to own one.
      IMO...John Deere has one of the best "Ease of attachment installation and removal" Compared to some other brands. But Like I said, It's just my opinion.
      The 1025r has been a great little tractor for me with zero issues and that right there is worth everything to me. Take Care and thanks for stopping to ccheck out the videos 👍

      @@SometimeIsNow Awesome, thanks! I appreciate the insight. I hear ya on both counts of tractors and snowmobiles. My grandparents on both sides of the family are/were small family farmers but both mostly had JDs with the occasional old Case or Farmall. Sleds are a different story with the classic Polaris/Arctic Cat split and a few Yamaha’s in more recent years. The debates can be fun when they stay friendly but they sure go sideways easily on these topics!

      @@HoundStuff Hahahaha Oh I heat ya.. Jokin is one thing but some can get sideways real quick.. One in awhile I have guys that like to tell me how I should clear my driveway. One even said they had been snowblowing longer in his life, so he knew more about snow removal than I did.. 😂🤣
