Isn’t there a drain plug next to the oil filter underneath the belly pan to drain what’s in the motor as well? Also, aren’t you replacing the filter?
Hey Ryan, Thanks for stopping by the channel to check out the video. Yes, there is a drain plug underneath next to the oil filter. I didn’t show a complete oil/filter change as that wasn’t what the video was about, so I didn’t record that part and post it. 👍🏼 Take Care.
Thank you for your video I just completed my conversion. The only criticism I have is it took me a little over two hours to complete and not the half hour it took you on the video. :)
Hey Colin, Thanks for stopping to watch the video. Yeah.. mine only took 2-3 mins to complete actually. 😂😉Shooting the video makes the job take a lot longer. 😂 In all honesty it probably took a couple hrs to complete but mine wasn’t all rusted like some of the comments report. Take Care 🤙🏼
WOW, thanks, that's exactly the video I was looking for ;o) I'm also doing maintenance on the secondary clutch of my 2005 GTX 550F What changes would there be if you didn't use the B2 setting? Could you change anything about the response by changing the position? Thanks, Ron from Gerany
Did you discover what the noise was? I have same sound on my my 550f summit.
Did you find the skid plate gave it extra flotation in deep snow?
Hey Mat, Thanks for stopping to check out the video. Honestly I couldn’t answer that question as I’ve never ridden off trail in the deep powder.. I installed it mainly for the added protection from frozen ice clumps that I could possibly hit on the trail. Take Care 👍🏼
You should be able to buy these ski's all assembled with thoughts of other delivery in mind! Shouldn't always be a challenge to have fun
On my 21 900, the large drain plug was a 9mm allen, not a Torx.
Hey Randy, Thanks for stopping to check out the video. Thanks for the update on the ‘21 900 👍🏼
I have the brand new 54” snowblower do you think that furniture dolly will handle the weight of my blower? Because that looked simple.
Hey Bill, Thanks for stopping to check out the video. Sure, the furniture dolly from Harbor Freight will work fine for you. These dolly’s hold 1000 lbs and mines worked great for many yrs now. www.harborfreight.com/30-in-x-18-in-1000-lb-capacity-hardwood-dolly-58316.html Take Care 👍🏼
@ nice thanks very much
We got snow coming down
Awesome !! Let’s hope we can actually ride this season.
Would be nice
@SometimeIsNow we got 4 inches, going to fire up Larry today
Thank you for making such a wonderfully informative video! I had a parallel box installed by JD 2 years ago on my now 11 year old 54 inch snowblower. The impeller was very worn, with over 1/2 inch of clearance. I ordered an AgriMetal AG99-50-0055 4 fin steel impeller. I used your video to learn how to remove the auger and drive shaft by tipping it on it's back and using a chain hoist to pull the augers and shaft. I left the gear box attached to see if I could do this w/o removing it. Only problem was the key kept falling out during the reinstall. I worked the key so it would stay on the main shaft during install. I'll know if it all work when I actually run it tomorrow. THANK YOU again for making this video!!!!!
Hey Jim, Thanks for watching !! Excellent, I’m glad the video helped. “Sometimes” All one needs is to see how something comes apart and they can do it themselves. Take Care and hopefully you get to try the new 4 blade impeller out this winter. You’ll have to let me know how it works. 👍🏼
Do you know if this will work on my H120 loader on my 1025R. Thanks
Hey Mac, Thanks for watching ! I know green parts store states in the description for the single point unit that the 6 month warranty only covers for the 120R loaders. I looked at photos for both the H & R loaders and if mine had the H120 on it i would purchase the kit and install it. Keep in mind I don’t want to tell you incorrectly so do your own comparison and make the decision based on what you think, don’t take my word for it. lol Take care
Ok I will do. Thanks so much for the reply.
Can i have a list of all the upgrade part
Hey Jimbo, Thanks for stopping to check out the video. I listed the upgrades I made to my sled in the description above. Take Care 👍🏼
What is the little nipple on the second hose for?
Thanks for stopping by to check out the videos. I’m not 100% but it’s possibly for a separate boost gauge if you choose to use one? Take Care
Great job thanks
Thank you for stopping to check out the videos. 👍🏼
Thanks for this video,I just completed the conversion on an older model snowblower. The main difference was that the bearing was pressed on the shaft instead of being kept in place with a locking collar. It was seized so bad it broke my puller and I had to cut it off with a grinder. I doubt this would have gone as well if not for your video. And holy cow is this gear drive worth it!
Thank you for watching the videos . Excellent! I’m glad you like the new enclosed drive.. I love how quiet and smooth it is. 👍🏼 Take Care
What length are the screws?
Hey TurboCat, Thanks for stopping by the channel to check out the videos. They are M6-1.0 x 16mm Flanged Button Head Socket Cap Screw Bolts i got off Amazon www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XX4KV62/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Take Care 🤙🏼
@@SometimeIsNow Thank you
@@TurboCat998 No Problem, Sorry I took so long to respond.lol Just keep in mind that if you get those screws you’ll need to get a bunch of the M6-1.0 . I also got them off Amazon. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09TR3TXGW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 Take Care
Excellent video, just orderd a set
Awesome, thank you for stopping to check out the video.! I’ve used them on my last few sleds and I was able to turn my torsion springs back at least one click. Take care
I need those spacers
I need a set of spacers for an artic cat they don't have them anyone know where I can get a set for 2017 cross trek with process chaises
Thank you!!
Thanks for stopping to check out the video. Take Care
It's the unexpected hangtime let keeps your guardian angel busy.
The reason you used John Deere paint, you must have priced some Hustler paint. $$$
Thanks for watching !! I never priced Hustler paint and by the sounds of it I don’t want to. lol 😂 Take Care
Beautiful
I agree, It’s beautiful out there on the island.. Take Care and thank you for stopping by to watch the video. 👍🏼
Thank you for a great video. Now I will do mine.
Thank you for stopping by to check out the video 👍🏼 Take Care

sent you a email about something new

Very few videos actually show the dogs testing and swimming. Thanks for that!
Thank you for stopping by to watch the video. It’s appreciated. Take care
that oil looked real good still
good work brotha
Hey Trav, Thanks for stopping to watch the videos. Appreciate it 👍🏼
My tractor has these exact symptoms. I tried to make the adjustment you demonstrated here but no luck. Am I missing something? I've made several turns on the adjustment nut. I am assuming you made the adjustment with the brakes off since the wheels were turning. Thanks.
He is a GOOD BOY!
Hey jk, He sure is. 👍🏼 He was a mean puppy.. lol but now that he's older he's an awesome friend.
If you use a bungee or a ratchet srap to hold those brackets up, you will save a little effort.
Awesome video, brother ‼️ Thank you very much for your time ‼️🤙
Hey Mr C, Thank you and thank you for stopping to watch some videos. It's appreciated. 👍🏼
Love your vids!
Hey Big J, Thanks for stopping to watch the videos. It's appreciated 👍🏼 Take Care
Hi, Excellent instructions. Thank you. Will what's included in this kit allow my to re-terminate my snowblower lines and not the bucket? Or does the blower require different line lengths?
Hello, Thank you.. With this Kit you will only be able to complete the loader. If you want to add an additional single point you will need to watch my other video to add a snowblower. I list the part#’s in this video. th-cam.com/video/k9dqaMgrveU/w-d-xo.html Take Care 👍🏼
@@SometimeIsNow Thank you so much. Your instructions are fantastic, by the way. I used them to put the gearbox in my 54" blower.
Hi, excellent instructions. Thank you. Will what's included in this kit allow me to re-terminate my snowblower lines rather than the bucket or do I need different length hydraulic lines for the blower?
I think, to make it easier for one person, is to have the mower shop do it😂
😂 Good idea
Good job
Thank you and thanks for stopping by to check out the video. Take Care 👍🏼
We now also offer a joystick mount control fully prewired. It plugs into your accessory port for power. Then simply run the second wire to front of tractor. Its all waterproof! So works with or without cab!! Puts control right on the left right rotation joystick. Will be available soon......watch sometimeisnow for a comete install this fall!!
I have the exact same hustler, SD, 60 inch I replace the blades in about five minutes. I simply jacked the hell out of the front get enough angle to get an impact underneath and voilà 123-1235 minutes tractor back down cutting with new highlift blades just be careful how you jack the front but there’s no need to take the cradle off.
Hey Bernl, Thanks for watching the video. Yeah, thats what I typically do is just use my tractor to lift the front of the mower up and zip the blades off but I wanted to make the video on how to remove the deck for anyone who needed to could see how it comes off. Take Care 👍🏼
mine does that if i leave the front axle in 4 wheel drive. take it out of 4 wheel drive and no more tearing up the lawn or gravel in driveway
Major PITA!
I never knew this kit existed, thanks! As of 08/02/2024, the gearbox is $250.00 now, but still think it's a worthy upgrade. I always have trouble with the chain drive on my 47 blower, so it looks like this is the ticket! It is also very common for the blower shell to crack around those 3 bolt holes that the main shaft goes thru due to torque stress. Since this gear case has the 4 bolts around the frame too, that should spread the load and prevent cracks or stop cracks that have already happened from getting worse. I will definitely be getting this kit for my 47 blower and replace all the bearings too. Thanks for posting this!
Hey Machone, Thank you for the kind words and for watching the video..For sure the Parallel box is well worth the money even at $250 Take Care 👍🏼
I'm sure you know by now you don't have to take that bracket off or unplug the clutch
Thanks for posting and sharing this informative, how-to video on changing the hydraulic fluid, etc. on a Hustler Raptor. Also exactly what brand, make, model, type, etc. torque wrench is that, that you used torquing the wheels lug nuts?
Hey MRC, Thanks for watching the video. The torque wrench is a Snap-on 3/8" Drive TechAngle Flex-Head Torque Wrench (5-100 ft-lb) ATECH2FR100BV Take Care
Leave your wheels off come in by the mower deck ,piece of cake
65/68size
I recently got 3 2010 550fs from a ski hill none of them currently run but this video will help
Hey Jimi, Thanks for stopping by to check out the series.. The 550f is a great sled.. Make sure you look over the carb boots for cracks, you definitely don’t want a lean burn down.. I go over everything in the series of videos 👍🏼 Take Care
Excellent video. Very well explained. I will do my Raptor XD
Thank you, and thank you for stopping by to check out the video. It’s appreciated. 👍🏼 Take Care
I thoroughly enjoyed and APPRECIATED this video. Your careful and patient technique and filming are terrific. Thank you, sir! The lighting is top notch. Subscribed! I have a Big Dog mower, which as near as I can tell is close to the Raptor SD so this is great. I think if I stay with the Hustler family of Z-Turns I’ll upgrade to the light commercial grade mower which I take it is where the Raptor SD sits in the lineup? God speed!
Thanks Chris and thanks for stopping by the channel to watch the video. I appreciate it. 👍🏼I glad the video helped. Take Care
Thanks for the video! Followed step by step. Also needed to use a couple of tips from other commenters. First was removing the bolts from the middle auger brace, then removing 2 bolts from each end of the auger. Leave the top bolt to allow the auger to pivot enough that the carriage bolts behind the impeller drop out, without having to move the whole auger. Also had to lay the blower face down to get the gear case to move enough so that I could insert the 4 bolts securing the gear case. Used a chain hoist to make it easier to wrestle around the blower.
Hey aftoy, Thanks for stopping by to check out the video and I’m glad the video helped with your install. Take Care 👍🏼
