I love this part of Malaysia, Kuching. They are the only last vibe for us, as you see KL are too much modern, but Kuching are so cool maitain the old school looks while developing

That's the beauty of the old down town Kuching City. It's messive compare to the RED HOUSE area in Malacca and George Town.
@Bikta Fletcher Siner its not kena sedut, my uncle is land department or whatever i dunno😅 he said everytime when kerajaan want to buy land at sarawak even kerajaan sarawak itself want to buy land for developement, most land there 60-70% owned by local people melanau/iban dont want sell it. So there 2nd solution is kerajaan want to sewa tanah they dont want. That land is for their legacy only not for sell. So he also said that sarawak people also mad why they dont develope, so the answer is ask sarawak local people do jual/sewa their land

Kuching felt like a postcard, esp. the one in the video, along the riverside colonial style features & dated shop houses give nostalgia to the bygone days,.remind of backstory to the place. Good camera work!
Been to Kuching work & travel for a few times, i love this city so much, the people, culture, foods, streets, riverside....etc. For me, it's like a combination of Teluk Intan, Ipoh & Penang

Honestly I hope the Waterfront part of town will be turned into a giant pedestrian street like in Europe. It will definitely be more beautiful, liveable and be a hugeeeeee tourist attraction.

I think, they planned already. Waterfront will be extend until Satok area, if not mistaken.
One of my most favorite cities to visit in Malaysia. Last visit was in Oct 2019.

Yup Kuching doesn't have a skyscraper that is more than 25 storey building but then Kuching just gives me special vibes especially Waterfront. 😍 Such a calm city and full of cultures. 🥰

Am a Kuchingnite originally but been living in KL for 35 years. Saw Kuching City growing leaps and bounds throughout the years and now it's a huge modern metropolis comparable to JB and Penang. Hopefully more high rise coming up especially within the CBD. Proud to be some one from Kuching City.
Yes , Still Need at least a Super SKYSCRAPER in City Centre. Infrastructures Should be Upgraded as soon as possible.
Kuching International Airport must be Top Priority, Truly International.

Duduk Kuching selama 24 tahun..bnyk kenangan yg tak boleh dilupakan..seblum Dewan undangan negeri yg baru dibina,kampung2 asal kat situ dipindahkan..disitulah bermulanya kehidupan seblum berhijrah ke semenanjung..bila balik sana pada 2010,terlalu bnyk perubahan dilihat.. kampung kelahiran sudah tinggal kenangan..namun tetap dlm ingatan..rindu kehidupan masa zaman kanak2 dan remaja dikampung Astana Lama

Nice video.. Ive been to this city for few times past 4 months. Travelled to most of the places shown in the video. Nice development, attractive.. in my humble point of view, Kuching needs to upgrade its road facilities. The road system are not well arranged. Please add public infrastructure like rapid rail system for an easy accessibility within the city . it will help to attracts more non sarawakian and tourists to the city.
sebagai orang kuching, sy setuju road kat sini porak peranda even tengah bandar, maybe tengah upgrading road condition tapi kalau tak hope our pemerintah ambik serious tentang ni la hm. kalau tak pernah naik kuda boleh la naik motosikal kat kuching.

When i watched ths video for the first time, i was speechless n said a wow to myself! It was really a stunning video i ever saw. But i wld like to suggest if the owner of ths video capture the Santubong tht includes in Kuching area as well wld b vry nice, with the view of Gunung Santubong n also Gunung Serapi further up at Matang area wld b more interesting. N i guess tht will potray the whole of Kuching area. Im sure the govt of Swk r more advance thinking than me, whereby i wld like to suggest n i think its the rite time for Kuching move fast frwd like having our own zoo, Coco Cabana (like one we hv in Miri), a theme park playground (we've one in Miri), Dinasour Park (like in Miri n KL), n/or other interesting stuff tht can attract visitors either frm within Msia or oversea. Kalau dalam BM CBD ni pusat bandar. Lazimnya kawasan CBD ni banyak bangunan high rise dgn skyscraper tertumpu kt satu tempat. Ada jg CBD yang terdiri dari pusat bandar lama, yang banyak rumah2 kedai lama tu jg, dan pada masa yang sama banyak bangunan

Wow - amazing. lived and worked there in 1985 - 87 with Equatorial Timber Moulding Sdn Bhd.
Surely it's developing but what about the progress of public transportation? I see that bus companies are so desperate to keep it alive that Bus Asia iirc offers RM1 for a trip from Kuching to Serian. What about the bus stops too? Most of them are hecking dilapidated asf. Like srsly rip public transportation in Kuching. We haven't even talk about the planned railway system that's taking forever.
Do you really think building an ART only takes one year? Do you know how much planning it goes into building an ART? You clearly haven't keep up with the news. Just search and actually know they are now in tendering process. You can also follow their social media Sarawak Metro for updates

I had a great time there in 2013. Had to visit as I like ' cats '. Called my cat takut as my father was part Indonesian.
I miss my home town Kuching & I wish I’ll be there 1 fine day soon after more then 20 years migrate, lots of good & bad memories I’ve there but all that what people called life, I’m praying 🙏 will be go home just for a while it ok as long I step my foot where the place I born but not where I belong to.
