Do not ever hammer any metal elements with hammer close to open fuel lines, perfect solution for severe burns and significant fire on yard/garage/home, those operations must be done before opening fuel lines. One sprak thats all it takes.
You are quite right. I really should have done that first before cracking the fuel lines open. Thanks for the tip, I`ll try to make sure I don't do that again. Frank.
Banjo Set: You'll need "12mm Banjo union for 10mm Tail" and "M12x1.5" Bolt Size www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12mm-Banjo-Union-Fitting-M12-Petrol-Diesel-Fuel-Hose-Bolt-Fitting-M12x1-M12X1-5/322430773783
No, can't say I have. I did both of mine as the cars were "new to me" and neither of them had any service history. I have no idea how old either of my filters were but as you saw, both banjo's were corroded through!
Question......will a clog fuel filter cause your Saab to run rough I have an Saab 93 aero and I have replaced the spark plugs and the coils and it's running rough keep saying misfire in cylinder 3 and sometimes multiple misfires....so if you could answer that question I would really appreciate it
Same here I also replaced fuel pump and pressure regulator but can not find the filter. I am told that it is in the pump that I have already replaced. Head scratcher think maybe the ECU
Just put a small weld on the joint and you are good to go
Is this filter in the same location on the v6?
No idea, sorry.
