A good test to do is also FPR Leak Down Test. Attached the tester and prime the pump via the key, It should hold pressure after priming the fuel pump. It should hold at least 33psi after 20 minutes.

Thanks for the informative video. I pulled out my Fuel pressure regulator (07 9-3 petrol Aero CV) with the intention of cleaning it, the O ring and filter fell apart! I guess that it hasn't been changed in a long time. I've Got one on order, but the car can't move until it arrives...

You could run without the gauze. Could you seal it with a wrap of PTFE plumbers tape?

This is great video! I just tested fuel press on my 9-3 (2007) and it was only 32-34 psi. Most likely pump is not producing enough pressure.

I'm also getting 34psi idle (jump to 43 when hose pulled). Is that really bad enough to need pump replacement though?

@@nsb1449 That is the correct value.

Just tested mine with the help of this video, got roughly 42 at idle but only jumped up to about 48psi with the vaccuum line disconnected, does that sound like a bad regulator ?

Hey, great vid, checked mine whilst going over the fuel system and the screen is shot to pieces. Do you know anywhere to get these at a reasonable price in the uk? Preferably screen only.

Is this a 2.8T? What do I need to remove to get to the fuel rail?

Where can I buy a new fuel pressure regulator? What is the parts number? My car has the same problem as yours.

Anyone have problems with the fuel pressure dropping on the car suddenly

I'm sorry but this video has the wrong specifications of the fuel pressure. The fuel pressure should be 3 bar (+-0.1 bar) or 43.5 PSI with hose disconnected.
