Holy crap, every time I watch any of your videos, I just get SO inspired!
I've always been discouraged about my art, and have signed off on thinking I could do a lot of things (such as digital painting) because I just had no idea where to even begin but you make it seem extremely doable
On top of that, you always have an insane amount of great tips and advice for improving our art, needless to say I'm very grateful for your videos :)
I don't know why, but your videos are the only ones I can watch entirely without getting bored (and I have quite a short attention span), they're interesting and super entertaining! I'm so glad I found your channel :)

can you make a tutorial of painting a human face (especially a child) ?
That color abstraction Boro talks about, is really just what artists do to express themselves, you don't need a program with color dynamics to achieve something close to that! You just need to keep in mind to have overall the same brightness in the color, but you can really go crazy with it. Even having some spots of green, blue, purple and whatever you want on a red cube.
I suggest you to also look up Marco bucci to learn more about how traditional artists go about their drawings, and follow both borodante's and bucci's lessons!

In stead of asking money on Skillshare etc for your teachings, you are soooo generous and have put it out for free on TH-cam, where people like me (Who can't spend a lot money) can access it and learn. I am 16 and thanks to you, my art is almost on a professional level and you have inspired me to follow art as a career. You have changed my life in a way that nobody else has and I am truly thankful!

The initial brush with the color variation is very good-looking. You're right; it's good-looking just with a few strokes. What separates impressionism from naturalism? What would you call the two paintings (of girls), stylistically?
Painterly
Both are realism, though, the lady in the grass, at least the grass is a bit impressionistic. The painter is trying to capture the subject for sure, which is realism, whereas the impressionist is trying to capture the mood. Photorealism is something I've never liked. Someone said painterly, and yes, but Rembrandt and John Singer Sargent painted realism, yet that form of realism can also be classified as painterly. I don't think painterly is really a movement like realism and impressionism.

Hey there! (TUTORIAL FOR THIS COLOR DIVERSITY EFFECT THING)
For every one who wants to know how this thing works, here a lil tutorial:
-select a brush
-open the color tab
-there are some bars with a H, S and B next to it
You can edit this values by clicking on the number on the right side next to the bar
Borodante uses this values:
-H: 6.63
-S: 4
-B: 2
-the final step: click on the button next to H, in default options there is a square
click on it and activate random with a range of 100, selecr rand stroke and diselect rand points.
Repeat this for S and B.
done! You can set your Bristle diversity on 2.16 if you like, Borodante is using this value in the video too.

So, I searched a bit and couldn't find this. Can you upload a screenshot somewhere of what your brush settings panel looks like? I'm getting started on Paintstorm Studio and there's just a lot of small tweaks you can do to it, so having a good starting point would be nice. :) Continue with the good work btw Boro, you're awesome.

Hi Boro! This is gold! Pure gold! Do you think the idea of roughly defining shapes that are not focal points of the image also applies to drawing and sketching, or is this just applicable to painting?

Boro can you do a tutorial on how to make a painting less flat? As in how to give a painting interesting perspective and angles to add more depth to it.

Hi Boro... so in a nutshell what you are describing is an impressionistic approach to painting. I've always said you were a "Painter", especially someone who works in just a few layers building the painting as you go. Back in the late 70's when I started to get serious about my painting I tried to be more photo-realistic in style, as I was painting traditionally with an airbrush. Some of that work can be seen here: johncolladoart.com . That style of painting was done differently from how an impressionist would paint, as I would work in transparent layers utilizing my lights and highlights from the actual canvas surface. I painted many years that way until I entered the digital age, and even then I would continue with that process when I worked. For the past few years , as with most artists, I've tried to improve and learn new ways... which brings me to your videos and today's subject. I have been watching your videos for over a year now and have been picking up new ways to paint (in your style), specifically in what you described today. And what I like about your videos is your way of teaching that actually makes me understand your process. I watch a lot of other artist's videos here on youtube, and a few of them honestly do not know how to teach, or make the process understandable. Like most artists, I'm constantly learning and your painterly style has been an enjoyable addition to that process. Back in the day I never considered myself a painter, just a copy machine that painted what he saw. I'd like to think today that I'm evolving and becoming more of a painter, just like you described today. Definitely a good video and I hope other artists grasp the information that you offered today. Looking forward to your next video.
You should use the other camera as main camera and the current main camera as back camera, that camera you keep for back shots looks much better to me.

I agree that sometimes you do have to use a more impressionistic style to imply something when all you're really doing is providing a basis for the viewer to fill in with their imagination. And this is a easier method to use if you're not exactly sure how to paint something. But if you completely rely on this method you'll have a harder time improving on form and composition. Even in impressionism the artists still used composition and form to convey the image they wanted the viewer to see. If you don't your piece will probably come out looking jumbled and/or unbalanced in the end. And of course this style of doing art can be combined with other styles as well. If you look at paintings by such artist as Boris Vallejo you'll see that the key figure is well defined while the backgrounds are more impressionistic in composition. This is done even more so in such works as those done by Frank Frazetta, one of my idols. So, imop, you can achieve some very interesting effects when you combine styles and techniques, such as the one you described ;-)

Как переключаешься в ней на хоткеях (можно подписать внизу видео) есть проги которые сами это показывают при сьемке с экрана. Прога часто висит и лагает при хороших размерах полотна , как ты с этим борешься? Естественно я понимаю о чем ты говоришь по англ..продолжай в том же духе люблю твои видосы.
