They are really good tires I had them on my 2015 charger SRT392 and a lot of dodge challenger and charger owners use it because they hook better than the firestones, pirelli pzeros neros, even better than the nitto nt555. Good quality video. 1. Stop the hop kit is a good investment (communicate with Stang Mode for insight) 2. You know that the 45 aspect ratio on your rear tires not only makes the side wall taller but increases the overall diameter of the tire too. It has the effect of changing your gear ratio and subsequently your torque multiplication. (eg. 3.55's behave like 3.31's-just an illustration not sure of your exact change) Also, a loose front end is not necessarily a bad thing for drags at the track where it is flat and has no crown the way a public street does in Mexico. You might even try a few passes at Maple Grove with your front sway bar removed. So, wait a while on the strut tower brace.
Probably long after you care but Idk about the 4:10 gears on an ecoboost, I've got the 3:55 gears on mine and I have to shift to 3rd at 58mph but the stock 3:31 gears get to 65. The extra shift/time on peak boost lost makes it loose time till your pushing more hp.
Its important for the back to have better traction, regardless of awd, fwd or rwd. Not my opinion, consumer reports did test. The car will spin out if the back looses traction and the front grip. Look it up dont take my word for it.I will not respond to any disagreement btw look it up just trying to be helpful
That is because of weight distribution. Its simple science. As your car is moving along most of the mass/weight wants to go to the rear of the vehicle. Unless you brake for over a second, generally the mass always wants to shift to the rear.
This vid is a nice little gem. You said, the car relies on tire grip more than the balance of the chassis....that is 100% true for S197s as well. When you take a long high speed corner on the freeway the body rolls diagonally and then snaps back. I have driven my friends Civic, it doesn't have that much diagonal G-force, it has much more lateral G-force, tells me that the car has a tighter chassis and spring. I'm looking at some good quality coilovers and panhard bar to stiffen up the body and minimize diagonal G. Also, the car has a tendency to nose dive under heavy breaking and the grip feels lighter when going over humps at high speed. I'm pretty sure the coilovers will handle vertical G for the most part, but changing the breaks to 4-piston front and 6-piston rear will also improve the breaking balance, but I have to careful not to lock the rear wheels. If you all understand my problem and goal then please let me know what you think.
hasn't affected mine at all! But I would say if you put tires that aren't similar then it would but these have similar tread ware and are a similar summer performance oriented tire
Seems I have to make a choice now. Was planning to run the indy 500s. I am trying to get a good street tire but will mostly be track use. I want to stay with the street tire cars. I don't think I would be competitive otherwise.
