Could be better if the planets aligned, Zinogre didn't run away or if I at least knew how to properly react to it fleeing but this was still quite clean. Hopefully I can get sub-4 for the Hunt of the Week while I still have time for that.

how do you keep your red shield charge when in axe mode like how do you cancel out of using all your phials and reverting back into normal cb
I play on 3ds, so instead of X+A, just press A.
That mount cancel on 1:18 because Zino got KO'd...

However, I feel that for THIS particular scenario, this was for the best; if I didn't KO it then (say I hit another hitzone, or used another jumping attack) I'd waste a ton of time in the mounting minigame only to have the topple be cut short immediately with a KO. At least that saved time from the minigame...
I do believe the optimal run gets a KO before the first mount, but that's fairly hard to do in practice. Charging phials involves a lot of jumps and Aerial AEDs are easier to land on its face than grounded ones...

Why'd you have Thunderlord Tickets in your item pouch? Are they placeholders for empty spots or-
Yeah it's just a bunch of "whatever" items to fill up the pouch.

What are the TA rules for MHGU?
It's the same as World, really, except you remove the World exclusive stuff (no need to ban mantles and environmental stuff if they don't exist)
So aerial cb isnt so bad?
It's still probably the least efficient CB style, but still useable. And it's the most fun I ever had in both Gen and GU!

Striker is the strongest for speedruns just because of the stronger red Shield, actually. If you have more fun with it, well, enjoy it! :p
@@Deaga i was talking about sa(switchaxe). I understand striker sns is great. The extra damage from the skills...
@@ejinathan oops, I misread it! That said, Striker SA is also very powerful due to Demon Riot+Energy Charge and Absolute Readiness for evasion. Valor SA is also pretty darn good with those sidesteps and morphs, tho. I tried using it for a bit, but I couldn't quite get the hang of it, unfortunately ;-;
