- Marcus Lamb is the leader of one of the world’s largest religious networks and the tax exempt church, Daystar Television. When the pandemic hit, Daystar TV applied for the federal Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to help pay its employees, and received $3.9 million. Two weeks after the loan was approved, the church bought a multi-million dollar jet. Lamb says Daystar bought the jet with proceeds from an investment and the sale of its old jet, not by using the PPP loan money it received. #InsideEdition

I remember when I was 18 my grandma got mad because I didn't put in the collection tray. Mind you this was my first job so I was super excited I had money without asking my mom for it. My grandma had the nerve to tell me "the money goes to the poor people in the community" to which I said "ok I'll buy some turkey and cheese sandwiches myself and pass them out on my bike to them" she just got mad and ignored me after that.

This guy came to speak at my church, I’ve never heard of him or have any knowledge of daystar. But with in seconds of him speaking he was advertising the network, while having lip singing performers and showing videos of daystar during our service. I knew right away this man was a fraud, I walked out early with no hesitation and didn’t look back while he was selling his produce in our church ☝️

I'm not religious so this may be a naïve question: but can't you just worship in your own home, or with other friends & local people? Why do people feel the need to throw money at clearly fake, evil people like these big "evangelists"??? Does god only love you if you give your money to Creflo Dollar or Joel Osteen? Places of worship also have religious leaders whose job it is to interpret holy texts and preach, making worship much less involved for the concregation. Many religions also have the concept of tithes. Tithing directly to the church and letting them decide distribution is much easier than figuring out on your own.
It's not about religion, it's about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, so have Jesus in your heart and guiding and directing your life and let no man deceive you.

I was a student minister at my home town church for 5 years, I wasn't even on the payroll. I did it all for free. Teaching these kids and watching them grow as children of God was my paycheck.
