GroovyVideo2 I’ve had quite a few pastors. Only one was found to be crooked, and believe me he’s no longer allowed in any facility associated with our churches. Anyways my current pastors don’t even get paid by the church. Theyd work their own day jobs and let that money go for paying for the structure and anything else the church needs, and a lot of it goes to funding missioners. In simple words, our pastors would have never neglected to pay a men for any work that was done for the church.
As sad as it is, the reason this stuff happens is people want to believe in something that will drastically change their lives, and televangelists are experts at giving them exactly that. It unfortunately discredits pastors and Christians who have a true love and faith and do what they do for the good of themselves, their families and their communities.

A friend of mine did her dissertation on sects, and she went to some of these evangelist meetings, and that's exactly what was going on. Well, not private jets, but the preacher, in between speaking in tongues, said things like "jeeeessuuuuus we deeeeemaaaaand economic profit, we deeeemaaaaand it! Halleluleeeeeeeliiiia!". And made passive aggressive comments about donating enough money, or else. Jesus only loves you if you pay enough money! They weren't even hiding that they were a huge money scam. She filmed some of it and showed it to me and some friends, and I'm still not sure if I should be morbidly fascinated or horrified. Possibly both.

I'm a believer in Jesus but this guy clearly has his priorities messed up. My grandma has been a missionary for twenty something years in India (fifty degrees in summer and monsoon rains. Sound comfortable?) - and no-one knows her name except her close family and friends. You know why? She is the most humble person I know - not interested in money, wealth or comfort. In fact, she has been through the most uncomfortable situations in order to reach people who are truly suffering in life threatening ways. From caring for starving fifteen year old boys and girls in prison for life, just for stealing a packet of chips, to showing love to elderly ladies packed into prison cell rooms so small that they literally have no privacy. THAT is what true faith in God looks like - not this lie that we need to be all comfortable in order to be blessed and to bless. It's the opposite - the less we have physically, the more we can rely on God to get us through. That is incredible faith. That is incredible love. Jesus didn't arrive and become the grandest, richest, flashiest King the Jews and the world had ever seen - he came from heaven's riches down to live as a lowly carpenter's son. He wasn't much to look at physically (Isaiah 53 verse 2) and he was looked down upon by high up religious leaders to the point that they wanted to kill him (Matthew 12:14). But you know what Jesus had instead of riches, which rot away anyway over the years? He had deep love for those who were at the end of themselves. He healed those who had given up. He saw and lifted the broken ones. He came down to their level and said "I am not afraid of being seen with you. I am not afraid of your struggles and demons. I love you. Follow me - I will be with you to the end of the age. " That is real life.
What im saying isn't to feel bad if you do own enough money to support yourself and your family - what I'm saying is that we shouldn't cling to our money and continuously want more and more materialistic stuff just so we can create a high - up image of ourselves. When I was a Christian I would come to the healing services held at OBM in Botkins, OH. The last time I went Jesse Duplantis was the healer. Service started with music/worship and then offering. People exiting aisles all around and following the hallways down to throw envelope after envelope into the buckets and back to their seats. The music finishes. It could possibly be argued that this helped spread Christianity as Rome pretty much kicked all Jews OUT of Israel as punishment for their rebellion. For their part, Rome didn't distinguish between Jews and non-Jewish Christians, and one of their few "conditions" for conquered peoples was to accept the Roman gods alongside your own. The Jews (and early Christians) insisted that they could not, and the Romans levied a tax upon them for the "privilege" of not doing so. Christians in the sense people might think today were only "persecuted" for a small window of Rome's history, and it's intellectually dishonest for people today to claim they were being persecuted solely for their faith.

Christians, real Christians are the easy targets as there's no repercussions to insulting our faith. I'm clearly not in support of people falsely using God's word in order to profit but why then attack the foundation of our faith. The supposed joke' in the car poked fun of Jesus's sacrifice of His life in the Cross to save our lives. That was really sad and in really poor taste. People should however know that this is not new, in the past we were burnt at the stake, insulted and pushed out of countries such as Syria and more. Now the media and others are trying to burn all knowledge of Jesus out of society by focussing on unsavoury elements within the Christian religion. The thing is this, Trevor and his mates will not even dare to attack the two other major faiths due to risk of retaliation. The show always comes out fighting against political correctness but in all truth are more so PC than most. I am not saying go and attack another faith other than Christianity but I am however asking why is it that you're not doing so? The answer is obvious and repercussions are real!

Anyways my current pastors don’t even get paid by the church. Theyd work their own day jobs and let that money go for paying for the structure and anything else the church needs, and a lot of it goes to funding missioners. In simple words, our pastors would have never neglected to pay a men for any work that was done for the church.

A friend of mine did her dissertation on sects, and she went to some of these evangelist meetings, and that's exactly what was going on. Well, not private jets, but the preacher, in between speaking in tongues, said things like "jeeeessuuuuus we deeeeemaaaaand economic profit, we deeeemaaaaand it! Halleluleeeeeeeliiiia!". And made passive aggressive comments about donating enough money, or else. Jesus only loves you if you pay enough money!
They weren't even hiding that they were a huge money scam. She filmed some of it and showed it to me and some friends, and I'm still not sure if I should be morbidly fascinated or horrified. Possibly both.

I'm a believer in Jesus but this guy clearly has his priorities messed up. My grandma has been a missionary for twenty something years in India (fifty degrees in summer and monsoon rains. Sound comfortable?) - and no-one knows her name except her close family and friends. You know why? She is the most humble person I know - not interested in money, wealth or comfort. In fact, she has been through the most uncomfortable situations in order to reach people who are truly suffering in life threatening ways. From caring for starving fifteen year old boys and girls in prison for life, just for stealing a packet of chips, to showing love to elderly ladies packed into prison cell rooms so small that they literally have no privacy. THAT is what true faith in God looks like - not this lie that we need to be all comfortable in order to be blessed and to bless. It's the opposite - the less we have physically, the more we can rely on God to get us through. That is incredible faith. That is incredible love. Jesus didn't arrive and become the grandest, richest, flashiest King the Jews and the world had ever seen - he came from heaven's riches down to live as a lowly carpenter's son. He wasn't much to look at physically (Isaiah 53 verse 2) and he was looked down upon by high up religious leaders to the point that they wanted to kill him (Matthew 12:14). But you know what Jesus had instead of riches, which rot away anyway over the years? He had deep love for those who were at the end of themselves. He healed those who had given up. He saw and lifted the broken ones. He came down to their level and said "I am not afraid of being seen with you. I am not afraid of your struggles and demons. I love you. Follow me - I will be with you to the end of the age. " That is real life.
What im saying isn't to feel bad if you do own enough money to support yourself and your family - what I'm saying is that we shouldn't cling to our money and continuously want more and more materialistic stuff just so we can create a high - up image of ourselves. That's pride and greed - two things Jesus definitely did not preach ❤❤
