      Thank you very much! I was happy to see them improved and end up somewhere other than a landfill eventually.

    Miracle work, Tim!
    Good job 👍🏻
    May I ask how much you paid for the shoes and what website you got them from?

      @ParsellArtisanWorks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I got them off the Poshmark app for $70 shipped, but it's possible to find even better deals on there. Hope this helps!

    If the shoe had contrast stitching, how would you ensure that your process wouldn't dye the lighter colored stitching?

    • @ParsellArtisanWorks
      @ParsellArtisanWorks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Excellent question, with a not-so excellent answer: I'm not aware of any techniques to preserve lighter contrast stitching with this kind of re-dye process.

    • @Scrooks1
      @Scrooks1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ParsellArtisanWorks maybe paraffin wax the stitches? I have a split toe derby with norvegese welted stitching that I want to dye but I don’t want to dye the nice light colored stitching at the welt.

    • @ParsellArtisanWorks
      @ParsellArtisanWorks  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Honorably discharged vet I wouldn't bet on it working. From past dye jobs, I would expect either the dye to penetrate through the wax, or excess wax on the shoe to moddle the dye job. Or, with my luck, some of both!

      @Scrooks1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ParsellArtisanWorks Thanks for your inputs, since they were hand antique dyed, I will probably not attempt to dye them but just re-craft the heel stack.

    Hmm... I kind of prefer the more consistent color you had in the beginning. The darker spots on the finished shoe look like you went walking in the rain, or used a product were some parts of the shoe absorbed it more than others. Not a fan of that look.
