Can you do a video on setting up an affordable LTO Tape Drive archive for us video creators? Google Drive Unlimited just ended, so now I need to backup 200+TB to an off-site storage and would prefer not to have everything on spinning hard drives, and LTO Tape Drive may be cheaper.
It was nice to meet you at LTX! Hope you ended up finding the Razer booth 😃 I hear you on the saying no more thing, it sounds very familiar and I need to get better at it too.
the 'saying no' (having boundaries) thing is HUGE. I am so glad I saw it. The context sounded like it relates to people hustling or work related but it affects the personal life as well. Whether to hang out with everybody who asks. Doing what people want you to do socially. Do they give/take equally? Does your involvement with certain people (or brands, or content creators) look good or bad to you? So many things to juggle. And people will judge you by the company you keep. It's good life advice.
The saying no bit at the end resonated, because I realized a long time ago if I don't prioritize myself, no one else will. I remember a quote I found on someone's facebook 10+ years ago that said "you get what you accept", which has always stuck in the back of my mind. It seems to go hand in hand with this idea of saying no and prioritizing yourself. I try to remind myself sometimes I need to push back, set boundaries, regardless of who objects, because if I don't, I become a burnout and the world's doormat. This also reminds me of that quote, "if you place a low value on yourself, rest assured the world will not raise your price"... but I may just be rambling at this point haha. Great video, really enjoyed it.
You're so good at this, Sara. I gotta figure out how to make VLOGs, haha. Great job doing some Squarespace reading in front of a BAZILLION PEOPLE 😂 Always great to see ya. Also, Judy meowing when you're home melts my heart. omg.
Man, that overlook you hiked to would be a stunning spot to view a sunrise from. Just watching it come up over the city... Wow. Also, neat to see the interactions with other creators behind the scenes of LTX, not just on the panel. It's pretty cool just how much interaction and collaboration that LTT promotes and inspires.
Indeed, as you guessed, came for the LTX tour, asked, "Who is this creator and what does she have to say?", stayed for the good advice, *excellent* colour & composition, and top-notch cinematography. Now, I'm a subscriber! Thanks for making this video - hopefully it'll draw in more new viewers, like me!
The vibe of this one was so genuine and fun Sara! Loved this video and especially the ending, that is all something that I needed to hear. I suck at saying no to things and then I fall behind with my videos, putting me into an even lower space. Thanks for this one Sara :)
Loved this whole video. And so much to take away from the mini Sara therapy session. Like I was in group with you! Stay awesome Sara.. you continue to be an inspiration even when you take a minute to breathe.
20:25 No can also mean "not now". If a brand wants to be in front of YOUR audience, they'll be there when you're ready. If they are just looking to launch a campaign and don't care who you are, they just want eyeballs, then maybe they don't hear "no" as "never" > just "not now"
I really enjoy the monologues that you do in your videos. It's a huge reason as to why I love watching them. The tech is great and all but your commentary and your experiences are what makes this channel worth watching :)
I'm guessing that was the main point of LTX when inviting other creators: Inspire them. It's insane the things you might have seen and puts you into perspective. You can try a lot of things, you can have so many great or bad ideas... Everything about that convention screams to me: There's a bigger world out there and so many things to try. And yes, I would love to go sometime on that hike, it's beautiful!
I think it's also a way to get all the positive content creators together and in the end make better content and cross polinate through networking. Plus, just a fun excuse to get together IRL.
The Ferriss and Ravikant quotes and discussion at the end were the hidden gems of this video for me. I'm going through the same things right now, and the coincidence is a happy surprise! Whenever that happens, it feels like I can hear the Universe speaking to me...and it's funny, because the Universe sounds a lot like my dreams made reality.
I totally agree with you on your feeling in life and you're career right now, I could feel that vibe before you even mentioned it at the end of your video. I can sense a new Sara and it's great to see. I'm not by any means near being successful on TH-cam but I felt for years I just had to make what I thought I needed to make and not what I wanted to make, but now its like that quote from Naval you shared, less working everyday and more being thoughtful and smart about when I create. Thank you for sharing that quote I screenshot it and it's living on my Notion page now lol.
Love the video! Catching all the TH-camrs that were in my Neck of the woods (Vancouver) that went to LTX and getting to view how they see this wonderful city. Soo many places to hike, camp as well as scenic views Galore. Come on back any time you've got a few spare weeks to disconnect and explore. Never know when you might come across one of the countless filming locations here in BC. lol 🤘
thx for the honesty.. yeah not that i know, but i hear alot from other youtubers that is a daily struggle too get all done, and the bigger u get, the bigger the presure. so live, have fun and the content will be better for it.. =) new too your channel, might look more in the future.. thx =)
Came for the Tech, stayed for the Sara. Love the vibe! Van is beautiful, I've only ever been once but it was cool to see more from your video. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, htat part where you talk about your life, in about 20m of the video was great, and it deals with a big problem that I'm having now. Having too much to do. I knew you recently from youtube suggesting me your videos, and I love watching them because its so light and fun with things that interest me. thanks for that.
Great to see Sara in Vancouver otherwise known as Linus Land lol, what a beautiful city 👍😎 that hike looked great 🌲I am Canadian but live on the non mountain side of the Country, TO. Love your rants Sara 👍😎
and aaa the hiking was sick, vancouver looks so beautiful! and love the intimate third-part of this video where you get honest and 1-1. you’re so cool!!
That long meow was too cute. You were always prepared for success, I think whatever it is you're doing, you're doing great. TH-cam is hard for so many people, and thousands try and make it on here every year. Yet, you do it naturally and have fun with it. I liked that guys quote. Very interesting. Cheers.
Your growth in the last year has been pretty crazy. Thank you for sharing it. I hope you're thinking about alternative platforms though. I'm nervous for anyone that has to depend on Google, who can take it all away for no reason at all. 😬
Hi Sara! Great video! I loved being able to see some behind the scenes of what LMG is using to record their videos. Those Sony cameras looked incredible. Your footage of Vancouver was mind blowing! The smoothness of your moving shots was really impressive as well. What camera did you use for your travel/vlog style content? I currently use a Sony A7C for most of my video production, but it has resulted in less than ideal video results due to poor stabilization. I have a gimble, but find it cumbersome to bring it with me on trips or for more agile scenarios like a hike or travel. Would love to hear what you'd recommend. Thanks!
Super bummed I didn't get a chance to run into you at LTX Sara but so glad you enjoyed your time here! Feel free to come back any time and thank you for the Peachy Chat at the end!
Sarah ,I am not a regular on your channel but I have watched a handful of your videos over the years and have become a fan . I have to say this was an excellent video all around. The adventures ,LTX and the inspiring content at the end for yourself and for others. Keep doing the best you can and keep pushing that creative envelope.
My main passion/ side hustle has been fantastic. But at this juncture, it’s time for me to take that next step, FOR ME. I haven’t made a lot of content (in fact, my channel has very few videos on it) but it’s calling me. I won’t go into the weeds about what the other hustle is, it was a dream job, I did it for 27 years. And I made the decision to move it to the side and began saying no to a lot o things. (Things I would jump at without question even a year ago). In that field, I’m at the very top I can probably get to, and I’m thankful for it, but now (well, after I finish some important work), I’m going to commit to this TH-cam content creation thing, and essentially start all over again 😂 All the things you mentioned about getting comfortable with turning down projects is extremely true. When you get comfortable with it, it can be more powerful for your creative energy than you think. Amazing content as always, this account is newer than my normal viewing account, but have been an extremely long-time fan. Never commented really. Awesome video Sara!

Thanks for the invite!!! Was so fun

@@andreyns89 im going to kill our selves
Alright well I’m extremely jealous I flew out before that gorgeous hike.
Bruh it was unreal. Next time we’re coming to Utah and you can show us the spots
You three vs Linus & Luke on the Grouse Grind??? Worst time buys lunch?? 👀👀👀😅
It's sooo cool seeing all these TH-camrs do fun stuff together. What an amazing job to be a TH-camr, right! (of course nothing is perfect :) )
@@MattLavergne4 did the Grind when I was there last 2010. Took me 3 hrs to finish coz I kept stopping every 5 meters. LOL
I think you all need to come to Taiwan. ;-) When it's not so humid, haha!!
I absolutely LOVE how Brandon was just jumping in to help the tour. Ex employee or not the man is clearly still proud of his accomplishments there
Haha yea Brandon is so great he had to keep reminding people he no longer in fact works there 😅
But the systems he set up are so robust they live on unchabged💪💪💪
wait when did Brandon leave?!?
@@iambear.6526 6 months ago at this point.
I was actually going to ask: Didn't Brandon leave? lol
Cool to see brandon back in the space talking about how he setup the lighting.
It was nice to meet you at LTX! Hope you ended up finding the Razer booth 😃
I hear you on the saying no more thing, it sounds very familiar and I need to get better at it too.
Definitely here for the Sara peachy chats! It feels like you're in a lot better head space now and we're here for it! Keep going sis!

Dennis giving the tour is absolutely perfect XD. I wouldn't imagine it going any other way.

wow this video quality was so beautiful. I hope you do more vlog like content. It is really entertaining. I loved the hike!
I love Vancouver, my favorite trail is there, the Capilano Pacific Trail.
Refreshing style of video. Loved the music pics and style of shooting

For those curious, Dennis’s Fuji TX-1 is on average $4,800-9,000ish. Film camera.
Oh man all the Vancouver content has been awesome, such a beautiful city can’t wait to move there after graduating.
Van is great if you make 6 figures, otherwise it's pretty rough with the high cost of living.
@@strangestecho5088 That's more or less what I expect, even with the high COL it still beats the peg 🤷
That old Linus tech tips studio tour was the first video I watched from you.
Ahh!! Crazy. Was so long ago 🥺
I like how Brandon just was like "yeah, let me tell you all about that stuff", even though he no longer works there. :D
So glad to have finally said hello! Glad you had a great time!

The vibe of this one was so genuine and fun Sara! Loved this video and especially the ending, that is all something that I needed to hear. I suck at saying no to things and then I fall behind with my videos, putting me into an even lower space. Thanks for this one Sara :)
