7:55 Damn! I was aware that US wall socket design was bad but the fact that you can criss-cross the socket between two different receptables is simply another level! It seems that you have some low quality splitter installed there, though. Hopefully the actual wall socket doesn't have equally bad design.
To be fair, there’s functionally zero difference between the ‘right’ and ‘crossed’ ways of plugging it in. If there’s no ground plug, then its just hot and neutral. It isn’t any more or less safe.
@@stertheder I think it may have been between two different sockets. Which in practice is exactly the same as reversing the polarity, which is what I think you mean by "crossed".
@@dannulik It depends on the device. In appliances if the neutral wire is energized then the circuitry can stay energized even if the device is switched off (manual or automatic). That can shorten its life due to burn out. You can also cause a part to be energized that normally isn't. For example the threaded part of a light socket instead of the little tab causing a shock hazard when changing the bulb.

He's not afraid to show, that he is, besides his achievements, just a regular human being. besides all those tidy shots, he also shows what is not so tidy. this gives me a ton of hope, I can manage to get my shit together. thx Linus.
i really enjoyed seeing Linus and Yvonne in this setting. Makes me feel like im helping out homies move and we are just talking. good stuff.
Yvonne is precious! You two and the chitlins will be very happy with the new home!

Was looking for this 🤣
I was looking for this comment 😹
Oh, it's fine. She told him it was a trust exercise.
And I thought Jake’s roast of Linus’ height was entertaining.
idk why no one has said this, but EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!!
Logistics 1: "Hey, I can't find X" Logistics 2: "Last record of it is Linus borrowing it" Logistics 1: "Ok you could've just said it's gone forever"
Yvonne is awsome, it's always a good video when she is in.
Jay is having a heart attack with the lack of cable management in Linus' house.
It is not unjustified
Brandon you're a champ. Yvonne you're awesome, please host more
A video on a week of role swapping would be great 😁
Yvonne reviews scripts and hosts videos while Linus manages everything else.
As a Canadian that moved overseas to a place without good pickles (new zealand), I genuinely had tears in my eyes at Linus' hoard.
How do you like NZ from Canada ? Planing to move soon 😁
@Jim McIntosh Not if you don't have a garden 🙃 (also, bit of an asinine question. I'm allowed to miss things even if I'm not willing/able to spend countless hours and money trying to recreate it.)
I’m American and can confirm that England also has inferior pickles.
@@dinukap4 it’s the most awesome place in the world, also I’m going back to new Zealand in 18 days after being stuck here for 3 years
I enjoyed how personal this was. I have so many projects I thought about, started, bought stuff for, and never followed through on. We all have obligations and 'life' that happens, this video seemed REAL. It made me feel normal! Thanks for sharing it!
Enjoy almost the entire catalog for as long as I can remember but just getting wholesome time and a trip down Memory Lane with yall has been a joy. Several have mentioned it but this was a great video!
Thank you for being so open with your personal life. This makes me feel less like my wife and I are dysfunctional at adulting.
I just left a comment and said basically the same thing... I feel more normal after watching this.
Same here!
Honestly if you don’t have kids you can do anything you want as long as you have a steady income
Well you called it adulting so you probably aren't doing much better...

20:00 I have to imagine that the front uplink port is so it can sit behind a laptop and have only the one front wire and everything else come off the back.
Yep Razer makes laptops so I'd imagine they designed with only themselves in mind
I have to say this is the first video where I can finally take advantage of your videos beeing in 4k, as I finally have a monitor where I can see the difference to QHD. Fees nice and is super crisp.
so much lore
what a power couple

Love your channel, you guys cover a lot of the pc parts I run. This video is a nice break from your usual wish I had some of your issues, you had/have rooms bigger than my whole apartment.
I love this kind of video with Linus and Yvonne at home, so heartwarming
Its really heartwarming seeing all the beautiful memories of LTT in that house passing in front of my eyes. God ..its been a long time following you linus.
Hopefully you guys will make even better memories in the new house
Loving the content of the new house though! Can’t wait to see it finished, especially the theater.
"When I need it, it's very useful!" That's literally the motto of every hoarder :D
can we get Yvonne in more videos her personality is soo cute, I like the videos shes in that dont really have a script to follow. shes so quirky funny and overall very entertaining.
I agree. though it makes sense that she's awesome considering who she's schtoopin'

This man, even when he’s sick he’s 110% energy.
When my family got it we all had different symptoms but only one of us got sick beyond 2 days.
I assumed this was shot beforehand, since he invited someone to his house to film.

Covid doesn't necessarily make you very sick.

today: What is that even supposed to mean?
For me it is crazy how open Linus is in that regard, the anxiety alone to present my stuff to millions of viewers would kill me
well he goes to a new house so...
he should have blurred the pickle jars and the quacker paper box. that makes more sense, right?
Yvonne needs to be in more videos she is soo cool

They’re couple goals. And for longtime viewers, it feels weird to see a new place.
Really excited to see the content at the new place. Its odd they are leaving this house they had so many memories in and I do as well. I remember Linus filming in the kitchen when LMG didnt even exist. Im curious to see how linus will do it when setting up a new house with the resources he has now and all of the lessons he learned from this house.
This is now my favorite episode. Now I can show my wife the worst case scenario.
oh i feel that, tech things getting fast out of hands 😅😅
Ammo to use when she says "You have too much tech"
Awww man.. I'm gonna miss that house! I remember the outdoor ethernet wiring, the electric car charger with *BRIAN THE ELECTRICIAN* , the one server that replaces like 5 PCs, and all the videos from the beginning of the pandemic that was shot there.
And of course the multiple times linus found cat pee on the carpet.
BRIAN THE ELECTRICIAN, HES ELECTRIFYING, AND HELPFULL, SUCH A HELPFULL MAN!
everyone reads BRIAN THE ELECTRICIAN like the intro you cant say no
Linus : Complaining at this staff when they stole tech
LTT Logistic: THE AUDACITY !!!
@@SephBane Thats probably what he thought. But when the plug doesn't have a grounding pin then the polarity doesn't matter.
Maybe whoever designed that has OCD and wanted all the slots evenly spaced. Not exactly the best design.
I think, in our hearts, we all knew this day would come.
When we finally found out that Linus is the worst Inventory Thief, Tech-Dragon Hoarder, and I Might Need Thatist at LTT.
Not many people get given a stock list for moving house.
Are you sure that's really Linus?

Yep, that's Linus all right.
okay, I'm ready ready for the reality show I enjoy the energy you two have.
Loved this fever dream of a hoarder episode. Wish all the LTT crew good health and a fast recovery!
Be well both of you. I also have Covid right now, so warm fuzzies to you both. Thank you for sharing the great move with us.
I love videos with Yvonne and Linus in them. One of those relationships where you can transparently see why they got together, they have obvious chemistry and are so charming to watch.
Linus: *has Covid*
Also Linus: *let's displace the oxygen in my lungs with helium*
I mean he almost knocked himself out by doing that 😅
You can have COVID and not feel sick at all
@@Teddybaer06 what's your point? All humans are dependent on lungs that process oxygen. What does feeling have to do with any of it?
Is helium the secret?! 🤔
@@emperorgizmo3014 if humans always need oxygen whats the point of even bringing covid up at all
Linus: "Why is there a pillow on the stairs"
Yvonne: "I was bringing it upstairs"
Linus: "oh yeah? and you made it that far, wow good job!"
I understand. My wife was speechless when she witnessed my tidying technique for the first time: wander around the house tossing items in the direction they're supposed to go. After enough wandering, everything is in the right place very efficiently.
Interrupt the process, though, and it isn't pretty...
I used to toss things by the door of the room it belongs to. Then if I enter the room then I'd grab all the crap from the door and then put em away lol.
Man, I wish Linus would put more videos out like this, more chill and get to know Linus and his family some more!
He seems to have a nice sister too.
Definitely pretty.

Is it just me or did Linus' voice get deeper when he huffed on that helium.
You can definitely see the covid fogginess from linus in this, he seems weirdly giddy and yet somehow confused by everything he wants to show us lol
It makes him kinda nicer 😅
So you mean sick... This is not a unique state to covid, this is just how people are when they're I'll from any rough cold/flu
@@HerbaMachina I actually had covid lol, don't worry there's no way you could've possibly known that without telling you, I know what it's like, the brain fog is so much worse than any other flu or cold I've ever had prior...

@@phydeux I mean look at it this way. Brand new AC unit that's been recently replaced. Along with all the other tech upgrades. Could certainly do a lot worse.
I want to see more Yvonne! She's so fun and it's great to see you too interacting on camera.
She's a huge part of how LMG has made it this far, and she needs some more appreciation! Especially since she absolutely roasted the pants off Linus a few years ago LOL
It's nice to see her, but isn't that partly because she's usually behind the scenes? I think Linus has talked about Yvonne not wanting to be a major personality on camera.
Yes, just what I want to see. Someone whine about AC registers in the ceiling. A completely inconsequential thing, that she's been whining about for years.
@@armadillito It may be, I'm not sure. But when she makes an appearance it's always fun!
I like Linus's future proofing reasoning. A solar flair would fry his wireless headphones, but they would also fry any device that he could use wired headphones with.
Really like these inside look videos, and I have to admit it's pretty nice to see a Canadian success story we can be proud of.

Man I feel like *I'm* having an emotional time saying goodbye to the house, some guy from England half the world away. I moan a lot on some LTT stuff but all in all I've been watching since the NCIX era and remembering how massive the Langley house upgrade felt, then the office.
"What am I supposed to do with these pickles now? I have my feet in the rice." What a quote
There should be some kind of life lesson or inspirational quote that comes from it, I just can't think of what it could be.

I laughed out loud at that!
If your Linus is broken, place him in a bag of rice overnight
