    Excellent review of the ABR, and the Honda Blackbird- the best adventure bike ever- got a mention. Nice to meet you guys and I'll see you there in 2025.

      Awesome to meet you too Sir! Couldn't not mention the mighty Blackbird. We'll definitely grab a beer (or two) in 2025!

    I was one of the people who just threw on their helmet and away I went. Silly me, on had my 80-20 road tyres on my Tiger 1200 XRT. It did well, until a muddy patch, that always catches the unprepared out. This year, I'm more prepared. Getting 50-50s on, Bridgestone AX41 adventure tyres on. Should be able to tackle the trail better then. I went exploring the local roads, after that off. It threw my confidence a lot. I did the VIP last year, doing same this year as well. It's just sooooo much nicer being able to take ya time setting up on Thursday, and without the mission to get from festival to camp. Queues were much better (at the time I got there). Looking forward to this years. That much, I'm finding last years videos hahaha. Ergo, I'm here.

    Hi guys, I totally agree with your opinion on the tenere, what a bike. I loved it too.
    I did the early doors so got to ride 7 different bikes in total.
    I tried to book a test ride on Honda transalp but they cock up, so I ended up on a hornet.
    Wow! what a surprise. it was easily the best bike i rode over the festival and was far better than cbr650r and probably is one of the best bikes that I have had the pleasure to ride.
    Would I buy one?
    No.
    I love touring and my vstrom does it so well.

    Good video. I managed to ride the Desert X, Caofen, Fantic, Voge 300, Ural (twice, such fun), and the Tuareg. But I travelled up on the Thursday so was able to get queuing very early Friday morning.

    Cheers guys, first time this year for me and really looking forward to it.. Good tip on the early bird ticket but £69 add on bit to expensive imo.
    May feel differently after this year lol
    Thanks again. Very informative

    Any tips on routes there from Norfolk? Trying to plan a route thats not just motorway miles!

    • @BikeMatters
      @BikeMatters  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We just endured long (and dull) motorway miles on this one, but if looking for a more engaging ride from Norfolk: I'd get out towards Cambridge and divert towards St. Neots, then point your nose west towards Towcester, Banbury, and then up to Ragley Hall. Plus, not too far off the boring route if you have enough and need to just get there.
      Loads of amazing roads to ride in the Northampton area!

    Great video guys.. Never been to the ABR.. Love to go.. But following a replacement ankle for a metal one, I can't stand for too long, and the queue for test rides would be too excessive.. If I booked onto the VIP package can you book test rides for over the weekend?

    • @BikeMatters
      @BikeMatters  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment. With your condition you may be able to win over a manufacturer if you do get there early doors, but as far as we were aware you had to wait in line on the day... Alternatively the Yamaha stand was within a tent with lots of seating around so could be worth a go!

    Would I be out place on mt07

    • @BikeMatters
      @BikeMatters  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not at all, I was on the Hornet and we spotted quite a few non adventure bikes there. Even an S 1000 RR! Just maybe avoid the trails on an MT07, haha

    If your really into adventure you could ride to the alps and go on the dirt track for less money than a weekend at the abr. Its all a bit artificial. If you like big crowds and have loads of spare cash go for it but to me its rip off .

  • @martinfretwell
    @martinfretwell 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It's absolutely shite you guys must be very new to traveling or on the pay roll. Rider training schools how to pack a bag beer in plastice cups after an hour queuing. Everyone trying to take your money and all run by road bikers playing on adventure bikes. My advice get away from all the bmw rich know it alls and get to the alps which you can do for less than the price of an abr ticket. It's all a bit cringe and gay. Be a nomad learn to do things without male bonding.
