Well the first 5 seasons are the best no doubt, but there is some great things in the later seasons, so i think is worth watching. You will think some seasons are better than others but i think is part of it, when you have such a long show. Just keep enjoying.
I get annoyed when people say do not watch something after a certain season because ultimately it is subjective. Even SPN weakest seasons are still better than most things on TV with some amazing story arcs and episodes.
When I saw the ghost truck it started as silly to me when I first watched it, but first we see Dean open up and show some vulnerability, and then we heard some hard truth about our history and how horrible life was for some of us not that long ago and in some cases still. I love this episode ghost truck and all.
I´m glad you like this one. A lot of people hate it, but I love how they bring up the race issue, and I also love seeing this side of Dean. The next one is amazing, can´t wait to see your reaction! And yes, watching this show until the end is definitely worth it, especially for someone that cares about the characters.

They kept the magic alive and always surprised you to the very end. Some of the best characters on the show are introduced after season 5 and you will love them. Like this other person said in the comments, there are some long story arcs that continue all the way to the very last couple seasons. This show is worth all 15 seasons, it was that good. Great reaction as always :D I'm not worried tho by the time you are at season 5 you wont be able to stop watching, and the story gets really interesting after season 5, you get more lore on everything and it relates to stuff from earlier seasons. Coming from a person who started when the show first aired, it never felt over at season 5 for me, because of the story arcs and characters that were still on the table. No way you will stop watching, enjoy!
it isnt aaaaaall about demons lol. But yeah it is mainly about them. But having been from a Christian home myself, i found it interesting how they did it in this show. Especially when season 4 comes lol youll see

I had not thought of the connection before, but this episode was aired on Jan 31, 2006 so just the start of Black History Month. I do find interesting however is the difference of reactions between then and now, the environment of racial issues is so very different in such a short time.
I completely get what you mean, racism is still alive in certain aspects of people's lives. Like one of my uncles from the white side of my family always has to point out that I'm not full white and always has to point out my brown ethnic nationality half in a negative light; like anytime I make a mistake it's always because of my non-white half is why I'm a screw up. Because he claims that every experience he has with someone from that side of my ethnic nationality has always been incredibly rude, arrogant, and difficult to deal with. And it's really depressing to deal with since I've pretty much grown up with a complex about. And honestly, even if he had those experiences with that ethnic nationality; he should be smart enough to know that this world has enough people and enough different cultures on this planet to know that there are enough random multitudes of different experiences that makes a person who they are, and not everyone from a certain ethnic nationality is the way.
I was just like you the first time watching this series, in hoping that she would come back to play a love interest for him, but she was never seen in the show again unfortunately.

I get so sick of hearing about how it was supposed to end after five seasons. People need to stop telling new SPN viewers this. It's simple NOT TRUE. The creator just didn't have the story fleshed out past season five. Seasons 1-5 are great, they're my least favorite third of the show. Some AMAZING characters are introduced in the later seasons and the best character development happens then as well.

Glad you liked the episode. Its been considered one of the worst of the series although there have definitely been worse ones. When this originally aired a lot of the fan girls hated it and I'll let you guess the reason. 😒
Personally i wish they had ended the show when it was supposed to, there's a clear drop in quality after season 6 and the "original" finale is way more satisfying than the actual series finale. BUT i don't regret watching it until the end, because there is some fun stuff and interesting new characters. Basically, if you'd prefer to remember the show as a good and cohesive story, i recommend droping it after season 5, but if you just love the characters and want to see the most of them, watch until the end.
I like the actual series finale, it feels like an "ultimate payoff" for sticking with it through the rocky road that lead there while it was happening, i'm not sure how it'll payoff for people coming in now that the whole thing is done and they can just binge through it.
I love the story in terms of touching on small town history and the relationship moments but I just could not take the truck seriously. This was a good episode but it could have been amazing if they found a better representation of the ghost. Dean in general is my weakness but vulnerable Dean WOW!
The are very good seasons and episodes after season 5 but also very bad ones (I literally just stayed up a whole night binge watching the whole season just to get it over with). Supernatural was a comfort show for me too, so what I recommend is keep watching as long as it feels that way but don't be afraid to stop watching all together if the bad surpasses the good. A lot of people got angry at the finale of the show and honestly I was glad I had stopped watching before that, but obviously this is going to be different for everyone. So don't be afraid to stop and don't feel pressured to continue if you don't want to. It's better to stop and remember fondly the characters you love than finishing and end up angry and frustrated And if you end up watching all the seasons, awesome! If you stop at 5, awesome! If you stop at 13 also awesome! I hope you enjoy the show regardless
tbh i enjoyed it til like season 12, and then i stopped watching because of time issues nothing else, tho i spoiled myself about the big finale, so im taking this opportunity to re watch it along with your reactions!! thnkss for this

On a more serious note I'd like to say that I love Supernatural and while the first 5 seasons hit differently it's definitely worth watching all 15 seasons. Some really great long(ish) story arcs in there. And some exceptional standalone episodes. Also I know some people really like Cassie, but I don't think she's "soulmate" material. He loved her so much he told her the whole truth and she dumped him for it. Doesn't seem she even bothered to check if anything he was saying was even remotely true.
Yeah I never got the hating or being scared of a whole group of people just because they have a certain facial structure or skin pigment. I remember some people I knew getting made and saying how disgusting it is that "all asians" like to eat/cook animals alive(I think they were talking about seafood or the dog markets). I then brought up all the videos you see of white people kicking/hitting chickens, sheep, cows etc in warehouses for mass meat processing.
I love the show and even I'll tell you that stopping after season 5 is probably your best bet for reactions. Season 1-5 are some of the best story telling I've seen but after that Eric Kripke (who is now in charge of "The Boys") moves on and it's just not the same. it's very up and down as far as the quality of both the seasons and episodes are concerned. Id still watch them because it's good fun, but there is some really substandard stuff that comes with it. And as I said I love the show.
Seasons 3-5 are the golden age of Supernatural in my opinion but It’s worth it to stick with it to the end, I hope you do, but if not, season 5 finale is considered by most fans to be one of the best season finales of the whole show so you definitely won’t be disappointed if you do decide to stop or take a break. Season 4 is the entrance to a fan favorite character and that character gets better with each season moving forward. This Episode is fun but is also really heavy, one of my least favorites but I appreciate the great acting from the mother. That deliver of the spirits backstory really is emotional. I don’t have much of an opinion of Cassie, she’s an ok character but I felt she would have been better if they had actually given her more than one episode to be fleshed out. There are definitely characters in the future that have way better chemistry with Dean than her.
The show falls off around season 7? I think that’s the Leviathan season (thinking in the top of my head). When key writers and Kripke left, it just turned into hot garbage. Pretty much when Chuck/God, Amara, Crowley, and Roweena get tons of screentime-that’s the marker of the series’ weakest material.
I'm gonna say it again: watch the bloopers after every season. They will make you feel better.

Yeah the first 6 seasons are like GOATED but there’s plenty to love about the rest of the seasons cuz it has got all the feels.
