Otto definitely gave Aegon a well deserved verbal lashing, but he has no business being disappointed when he was the one who plotted to make Aegon king yet did nothing to train him for the role (because he believed he could control Aegon the way he controlled Viserys). Otto really expected an impulsive, grieving father with a cruel streak to sit back and be idle. Let it be stated that Aegon is an absolute pos, but he didn’t want the crown to begin with. Now it has cost him his son, and he is not interested in being a pawn to be moved around. This whole thing is literally the consequences of Otto’s machinations.

They're making Rhaenerya like Danereys in season 3 of Game of Thrones.

The scene between Otto and Aegon was so damn good. I’ve kind of always viewed Otto as the real villain since he’s the one who started the relationship with Alicent and the King but that scene almost made me route for him cause he was speaking all truth but Aegon is too blinded by revenge to see it. Aegons view has completely changed since he lost his son and the roles have flipped. Even with all of his many flaws I seen Aegon as somebody who wanted to be a good king of the people but now I’m not so sure. I’m interested to see how much revenge is going to change him
Aegon did want to be a good king. He sought out love from his subjects where he evidently couldn’t feel it within his family… he, as a king, wants to be both loved and feared. The truth is that he’s simply not experienced or wise or old enough to strike that balance, much less while attempting to put on a brave face after the murder of his son. He’s probably one of the most emotional characters in the story. It’s hard for him to keep a grip on those emotions, what with being forced on the throne and thrust headfirst into war. He’s an awful person, but goodness if I am not compelled by his character so far 🤣 Great performance too!
Nah Otto is living with the consequences of his own career and parenting at the same time. Obviously Aegon is a murderous shit, but i loved him for flipping on Otto like that. It's exactly what the old man deserves, fight his whole life to put his blood on the throne, only for everything to fall apart within days of the coronation.

The ending of this episode stuck with me. Alicent can’t even bring herself to comfort her own son in his time of need, and instead went to Criston Cole AGAIN. In contrast to Rhaenyra who immediately went to hug Jace before he even started crying, it really does show the reason why Alicent’s children are the way that they are (Aegon questioning whether or not she loved him, Aemond going off to another woman for maternal comfort, and Helaena sinking away whenever Alicent goes to touch her). Their momma would rather get it on with their kings guard (who failed to protect them) than show them comfort after a traumatic event.
it's not a 'rather' situation. Alicent's has extremely complicated feelings towards her kids on top of the fact that she never learned how to comfort someone through the years of being abused by her father and viserys, just learned to be a thing that men used. like she went to cole bc it's the only form of comfort she knows how to provide AND it's a form of self-flagulation

Especially Aegon, who is "King" of the realm (whose actions directly affect everyone in the realm). 6:54 It's funny that earleir in the video you mentioned the scene in Game of Thrones of Bran being pushed from a window, because here we kinda have a scene the references it. In that episode. after Bran is pushed from the window, his mother Catelyn searches the tower he was pushed from and finds some of Cersei's hair. Now, she doesn't know definitely it was hers, but it adds to her suspicion that the Lannisters were involved. Here in house of the Dragon, Aegon's young son prince Jaehaerys is murdered and then we have Aemon searching the room and he finds a clue, in this case, a coin. Idk if this similarity was intention but if it was, good job on the writers' part.
I feel like Daemon's really the kind of guy who's desperate to be accepted by his family, but he goes about it in the worst most reckless ways possible sometimes. Because he did love Viserys (that argument they had in S1 in the throne room really stays in my mind, it was so genuine. He wants to protect Viserys but he's also always wounding him in the process) and he does love Rhaenyra (horrible as his scheme he used her pain and her one request and acted on it immediately without consulting her or planning it properly, wounding her standing in the process). Like he just doesn't seem to understand that he can earn their trust if he just simmered down and listened to them more, worked WITH them instead moving ahead without their consent on things. He keeps acting out on his own, to be proactive in the worst ways, and as a result he ends up ruining their trust in him. And then he's left more angry and embittered afterward, LIKE sir, he's doing this to himself. And Daemon being angry and frustrated is another horrible combination for him LOOL who knows how he's going to handle taking over Harrenhal in this show.
it's actually very easy to differentiate who's which twin for Raeneyra. just ask what was the last thing they both did together that day...that is, they gave specific instructions to Mysaria on how to leave Dragonstone.simple.
I mean there's a pretty easy way to figure out which twin was which if only one of them died. Erryk has been on Dragonstone for weeks now. They will have had conversations about things Arryk wouldnt know about. I dont think it was that, it was just the guilt of killing his brother.
Yeah, they could’ve just confined him for a bit and confirmed his identity. Funny thing is, depending on who survived, this would be a pretty big victory for the Blacks, they’d have an extra Kingsguard. But even more than that, they have a bonafide assassination attempt from a disgraced Kingsguard on a member of the royal family. They can use that to easily launch their own PR attack on the Greens. Tbh, the only contentious lord at the moment is Tully, so they just have to get the Riverlords on their side, establish a front, move their armies and start fighting. This is going to be important.

I been doing my best to humanize and understand Cole but man... He an *asshole* And god damnit i dont want Otto to leave again, i absolutely love every scene he is in. The actor is absolutely legendary.
I feel like i need to clarify something-- Otto was the one who suggested Nyra as heir. He manipulated Viserys into that decision. Of course, there are many reasons why Otto did that. But i thought it needed to be clarified that it was Otto who made Nyra heir. The council were all telling Viserys that Daemon cannot be trusted. And even though it was true, Viserys didnt take that slight to his brother lightly, he still defended his bro. It was only until it came out that Daemon said "Heir for a day" that Viserys crown Nyra as heir. Before Otto suggested it, we had no signs to show Viserys even considered Nyra as heir. Also, that was the first time we saw Otto reject Alicent, but it's implied that that wasn't the first time it has happened... Alicent probably has had to endure that since childhood. She lost her mother too, so that's why she doesn't know how to parent her children. Nyra was loved by both her parents, and thus became a great parent to all her children.
I thought certain people on council did trust Daemon but it was always Otto who disagreed with what Daemon should do. In fact certain council members originally pushed back on Daemon being stripped of being the heir and didn't trust Otto pushing this. Then this was followed up with Viserys snubbing Laena for Allicent which also was pushed by Otto. This show imo doesn't really show that Daemon is very much like Valyrian hardcore in his beliefs. The closest time I feel it shows how hardcore he is about it is his look of disgust at what the Hightowers did in KL with redesigning their home to be more about Faith of the Seven than the Valyrian lore and history which we know he finds important as we saw he educated Baela to speak Old Valyrian.
@@cynaracherrycaryccc yes, you’re right. Corlys was fine with Daemon being the heir (for his own reasons) and so was Lionel because he cited rational presidency. What i meant in my statement was that not trusting Daemon was a seed planted by Otto and the council. But i guess it’s unfair to say cuncil when it was practically just Otto and the Grand Maester. Prior to that, Viserys was partial to Daemon, and also cus he believed he’d have a son anyways. But i think you and i both have the same point of Viserys snubbing Daemon away was due to Otto’s scheming one way or another. i was just pointing out tt Normies and Nyra was a bit mistaken in giving the credit to Viserys and not Otto. :) And yes, I find myself confused with how the show wants to portray Daemon. I am hoping Ryan doesn’t let his personal feelings towards Daemon affect how Daemon is written… cus right now, Daemon is having quite a confusing journey. Regardless, i will just keep watching for interesting characters.
It’s just like in season one with the death of the Viserys son. He allowed them to think he disparaged the boy when that was mistaken. He would rather look bad than weak.

In this episode it mentions how Helaena doesn’t have a dedicated bodyguard yet and that’s down to Cole. He’s in charge of the kings guard, and so he would be the one who would assign someone to her. If he were to do that it would make his lil love affair with alicent easier to discover, which is why I believe he held off on doing it. That’s now came to bite him in the booty. Oh and I believe the dragon that one of the hull boys is looking at is seasmoke who “still resides on driftmark”
The dragon that we saw was Seasmoke, Leanor Velaryon dragon. So he will probably stay chill because he still has a bound with Leanor, unless something happened with him
I still think about the fact that Criston and Alicent probably had the guards placed out on different locations so they could act like fools. Cole was probably the one who should have been outside guarding the doors where the queen and the heir to the throne were sleeping. Erryk could have easily proven it was him that survived. He would know any number of private secrets or conversations between himself, Rhaenyra, Ser Lorent or any other number of guards and people at Dragonstone. He could just simply tell Ser Lorent "You had two eggs with bacon for breakfast this morning" and that would be enough to prove it was him. I loved that one of the constant through-lines in this episode was how generationally terrible the Greens are at being parents (Except Helaena; she's an angel). We already know Otto was a terrible father to Alicent. Then we see in the scene with Alicent and Helaena that while Helaena just wanted to be left to her grief, all Alicent could do was drone on about their duty and she even had the gall to bring up what Helaena saw in the bedroom. Alicent constantly making it about herself instead of her daughter. Then the scene with Aegon crying by himself, she didn't go to him. Instead, she goes to bang Criston Cole again.
I liked that Aegon smashed Viserys' model that he worked so long on when enraged, essentially smashing away any remnants of Viserys' peaceful legacy. A sign of things to come, perhaps.
Erryck and Arryck didn’t have a choice, as they were bound by their oaths. Erryck was sworn to protect the queen and Arryck was sworn to killing the queen, so Arryck had to attack even if he didn’t want to and Erryck had to defend her against his brother, even if he didn’t want to. Yes, they could have broken their oaths, but we know what comes to follow after that.
Rhaenyra and everyone else wondering how people can believe she'd order the death of a family member when she spent half an episode last season convincing everyone she had her husband murdered.
For those of you who read the main ASOIAF series, you are now starting to see why Criston Cole gained the reputation he did in the main series. Various members of the Kings Guard, like Barristan Selmy and Jamie Lannister remember him as someone who got involved in the political machinations in a way that the Kings Guard is not supposed to. And he is looked back at very poorly for doing so.
If you recall Game of Thrones, Tywin Lannister had Ice, the ancestral great sword of House Stark, melted down to forge two smaller blades. He gave one to Jaime Lannister, who then gave it to Brienne of Tarth, who named it Oathkeeper. He gave the other sword to King Joffrey as a wedding gift, who named it Widow's Wail. When it comes to naming swords, Oathkeeper is almost at the same level as Orcrist the Goblin-Clever, Glamdring the Foe-Hammer, Sting the Spiders' Bane, Anduril the Flame of the West, Herugrim, etc...
I may be the only one that like Criston Cole like he has a sad evil about him but also he just has the best dumb luck in the series. Cole keeps winning upward while completely disproving himself throughout the series, my man has slept with 2 Queens, become Lord Commander of the Kingsguard and now is the King's Hand. Cole is winning in life and somehow has gaslit everyone else. Also last episode Alicent wanted more say at the council so her boys would listen to their mother, as she thought she could help them. But when she sees her son crying instead of giving him advice to help him, she just leaves him instead of being the mother she wanted to be.
See moondancer Baela dragon is real small and pale above the clouds and in the it wouldnt be hard to hide from the scorpions. Just if Vhagar or Aegons dragon are flying around.
I loved Otto’s performance in this episode because he called out his own grandson/king and even mentioned that he and Cole was trifling 😂. And his look 👀 when Aegon mentioned that Cole has done something.
The problem isn't that Daemon won't accept Rhaenyra as queen but that people THINK he doesn't want to, especially Rhaenyra, and it's an assumption that gets treated like a fact and is wielded against him whenever he challenges her decisions. And he challenges her decisions not because she's a woman or because he doesn't want to be controlled but because he believes she's being too soft in this whole clusterfuck of a situation. He's been more than ready to get back in blood ever since Otto first showed up the bridge, hell as soon as he found out about Aegon being crowned, but she hasn't, doesn't. She's playing it cautious and safe while he desperately wants to rain down hell. That's the root of their contention, the source of their friction. Basically, their fires aren't matching.
The difference between Joffrey and Aegon I think, is that Joffrey would have killed everyone in cold blood, while Aegon did it in a fit of rage. Joffrey would have never returned the sheep or pay the smiths generously too.
It's a brutal, sadistic murder of a toddler (and the traumatization of an other toddler) in front of his mother's eyes. His mother, who is made to choose which of them to kill, must live the rest of her life knowing she sentenced one of her children to die. And the child must live the rest of his live knowing his mother sentenced him to die. You don't need to "get to know Halaena" for that to be horrible. You don't need to know anything about the people.
Corlys also understand that his brother in front of everyone screamed that Rhanyra kids were bastards and she was a whore. He knew Damian had been with Rhanyra at this point and it had been said to all if them if you question they birth youll pay for it.

Ser Erryk went out like the Ultimate Badass. He returned his queen’s father’s crown and died in the process of her defense (not as an assassin), even paying the price for kinslaying. Neither Aemon the Dragonknight nor Ser Barristan Selmy could have asked for a better entry in the White Book.
The acting in this show is so Good. The scene with Daemon and Rhaenyra, and Otto and Aegon... I hate Otto but I did relate to him feeling like Aegon and Crispon shared a braincell. I mean Otto this is what you did. You put the idea in Viserys head that Daemon shouldn't be heir that Rhaenyra should, you had Alicent essentially seduce Viserys and want to marry her. YOUR DAUGHTER'S BEST FRIEND's FATHER. Otto is the main cause of ALOT of death. People blame Viserys but he never once said Aegon should be heir. In one of his physically weakest moments he stood by Rhaenyra's side. He was so vehemently against it that when Aegon was getting ready to be crowned he said over and over again his father didn't want this.
I don't think enough people are talking about how all of Alicient's children do not know how to share emotions with one another and be vulnerable with one another. They seek comfort through other means (drinking, pleasure houses, isolation). Alicient did not bestow those characteristics in her children and her and Viserys failed their children in that way,.

Otto definitely gave Aegon a well deserved verbal lashing, but he has no business being disappointed when he was the one who plotted to make Aegon king yet did nothing to train him for the role (because he believed he could control Aegon the way he controlled Viserys). Otto really expected an impulsive, grieving father with a cruel streak to sit back and be idle.
Let it be stated that Aegon is an absolute pos, but he didn’t want the crown to begin with. Now it has cost him his son, and he is not interested in being a pawn to be moved around. This whole thing is literally the consequences of Otto’s machinations.

The scene between Otto and Aegon was so damn good. I’ve kind of always viewed Otto as the real villain since he’s the one who started the relationship with Alicent and the King but that scene almost made me route for him cause he was speaking all truth but Aegon is too blinded by revenge to see it. Aegons view has completely changed since he lost his son and the roles have flipped. Even with all of his many flaws I seen Aegon as somebody who wanted to be a good king of the people but now I’m not so sure. I’m interested to see how much revenge is going to change him
Aegon did want to be a good king. He sought out love from his subjects where he evidently couldn’t feel it within his family… he, as a king, wants to be both loved and feared. The truth is that he’s simply not experienced or wise or old enough to strike that balance, much less while attempting to put on a brave face after the murder of his son.
He’s probably one of the most emotional characters in the story. It’s hard for him to keep a grip on those emotions, what with being forced on the throne and thrust headfirst into war. He’s an awful person, but goodness if I am not compelled by his character so far 🤣 Great performance too!

The ending of this episode stuck with me. Alicent can’t even bring herself to comfort her own son in his time of need, and instead went to Criston Cole AGAIN. In contrast to Rhaenyra who immediately went to hug Jace before he even started crying, it really does show the reason why Alicent’s children are the way that they are (Aegon questioning whether or not she loved him, Aemond going off to another woman for maternal comfort, and Helaena sinking away whenever Alicent goes to touch her). Their momma would rather get it on with their kings guard (who failed to protect them) than show them comfort after a traumatic event.

Alicent's has extremely complicated feelings towards her kids on top of the fact that she never learned how to comfort someone through the years of being abused by her father and viserys, just learned to be a thing that men used. like she went to cole bc it's the only form of comfort she knows how to provide AND it's a form of self-flagulation

In that episode. after Bran is pushed from the window, his mother Catelyn searches the tower he was pushed from and finds some of Cersei's hair. Now, she doesn't know definitely it was hers, but it adds to her suspicion that the Lannisters were involved. Here in house of the Dragon, Aegon's young son prince Jaehaerys is murdered and then we have Aemon searching the room and he finds a clue, in this case, a coin. I feel like Daemon's really the kind of guy who's desperate to be accepted by his family, but he goes about it in the worst most reckless ways possible sometimes. Because he did love Viserys (that argument they had in S1 in the throne room really stays in my mind, it was so genuine. He wants to protect Viserys but he's also always wounding him in the process) and he does love Rhaenyra (horrible as his scheme he used her pain and her one request and acted on it immediately without consulting her or planning it properly, wounding her standing in the process). Like he just doesn't seem to understand that he can earn their trust if he just simmered down and listened to them more, worked WITH them instead moving ahead without their consent on things. He keeps acting out on his own, to be proactive in the worst ways, and as a result he ends up ruining their trust in him. And then he's left more angry and embittered afterward, LIKE sir, he's doing this to himself. And Daemon being angry and frustrated is another horrible combination for him LOOL who knows how he's going to handle taking over Harrenhal in this show.
it's actually very easy to differentiate who's which twin for Raeneyra. just ask what was the last thing they both did together that day...that is, they gave specific instructions to Mysaria on how to leave Dragonstone.simple.
I mean there's a pretty easy way to figure out which twin was which if only one of them died. Erryk has been on Dragonstone for weeks now. They will have had conversations about things Arryk wouldnt know about. I dont think it was that, it was just the guilt of killing his brother.
Yeah, they could’ve just confined him for a bit and confirmed his identity. Funny thing is, depending on who survived, this would be a pretty big victory for the Blacks, they’d have an extra Kingsguard. But even more than that, they have a bonafide assassination attempt from a disgraced Kingsguard on a member of the royal family. They can use that to easily launch their own PR attack on the Greens. Tbh, the only contentious lord at the moment is Tully, so they just have to get the Riverlords on their side, establish a front, move their armies and start fighting.

I feel like i need to clarify something-- Otto was the one who suggested Nyra as heir. He manipulated Viserys into that decision.
Of course, there are many reasons why Otto did that. But i thought it needed to be clarified that it was Otto who made Nyra heir. The council were all telling Viserys that Daemon cannot be trusted. And even though it was true, Viserys didnt take that slight to his brother lightly, he still defended his bro.
It was only until it came out that Daemon said "Heir for a day" that Viserys crown Nyra as heir. Before Otto suggested it, we had no signs to show Viserys even considered Nyra as heir.
Also, that was the first time we saw Otto reject Alicent, but it's implied that that wasn't the first time it has happened... Alicent probably has had to endure that since childhood. She lost her mother too, so that's why she doesn't know how to parent her children. Nyra was loved by both her parents, and thus became a great parent to all her children.
I thought certain people on council did trust Daemon but it was always Otto who disagreed with what Daemon should do. In fact certain council members originally pushed back on Daemon being stripped of being the heir and didn't trust Otto pushing this. This show imo doesn't really show that Daemon is very much like Valyrian hardcore in his beliefs. The closest time I feel it shows how hardcore he is about it is his look of disgust at what the Hightowers did in KL with redesigning their home to be more about Faith of the Seven than the Valyrian lore and history which we know he finds important as we saw he educated Baela to speak Old Valyrian.

What i meant in my statement was that not trusting Daemon was a seed planted by Otto and the council. But i guess it’s unfair to say cuncil when it was practically just Otto and the Grand Maester. Prior to that, Viserys was partial to Daemon, and also cus he believed he’d have a son anyways. In this episode it mentions how Helaena doesn’t have a dedicated bodyguard yet and that’s down to Cole. He’s in charge of the kings guard, and so he would be the one who would assign someone to her. If he were to do that it would make his lil love affair with alicent easier to discover, which is why I believe he held off on doing it. That’s now came to bite him in the booty. Oh and I believe the dragon that one of the hull boys is looking at is seasmoke who “still resides on driftmark”

I still think about the fact that Criston and Alicent probably had the guards placed out on different locations so they could act like fools. The opening of this episode w/ the music and the shots was so haunting.
Erryk could have easily proven it was him that survived. He would know any number of private secrets or conversations between himself, Rhaenyra, Ser Lorent or any other number of guards and people at Dragonstone. He could just simply tell Ser Lorent "You had two eggs with bacon for breakfast this morning" and that would be enough to prove it was him.
I loved that one of the constant through-lines in this episode was how generationally terrible the Greens are at being parents (Except Helaena; she's an angel). We already know Otto was a terrible father to Alicent. Then we see in the scene with Alicent and Helaena that while Helaena just wanted to be left to her grief, all Alicent could do was drone on about their duty and she even had the gall to bring up what Helaena saw in the bedroom. Alicent constantly making it about herself instead of her daughter. Then the scene with Aegon crying by himself, she didn't go to him. Instead, she goes to bang Criston Cole again.

I liked that Aegon smashed Viserys' model that he worked so long on when enraged, essentially smashing away any remnants of Viserys' peaceful legacy. A sign of things to come, perhaps.
Erryck and Arryck didn’t have a choice, as they were bound by their oaths. Erryck was sworn to protect the queen and Arryck was sworn to killing the queen, so Arryck had to attack even if he didn’t want to and Erryck had to defend her against his brother, even if he didn’t want to. Yes, they could have broken their oaths, but we know what comes to follow after that.

For those of you who read the main ASOIAF series, you are now starting to see why Criston Cole gained the reputation he did in the main series. Various members of the Kings Guard, like Barristan Selmy and Jamie Lannister remember him as someone who got involved in the political machinations in a way that the Kings Guard is not supposed to. And he is looked back at very poorly for doing so.

I may be the only one that like Criston Cole like he has a sad evil about him but also he just has the best dumb luck in the series. Cole keeps winning upward while completely disproving himself throughout the series, my man has slept with 2 Queens, become Lord Commander of the Kingsguard and now is the King's Hand. Cole is winning in life and somehow has gaslit everyone else. Also last episode Alicent wanted more say at the council so her boys would listen to their mother, as she thought she could help them. But when she sees her son crying instead of giving him advice to help him, she just leaves him instead of being the mother she wanted to be.
See moondancer Baela dragon is real small and pale above the clouds and in the it wouldnt be hard to hide from the scorpions. Just if Vhagar or Aegons dragon are flying around.

The problem isn't that Daemon won't accept Rhaenyra as queen but that people THINK he doesn't want to, especially Rhaenyra, and it's an assumption that gets treated like a fact and is wielded against him whenever he challenges her decisions. And he challenges her decisions not because she's a woman or because he doesn't want to be controlled but because he believes she's being too soft in this whole clusterfuck of a situation. He's been more than ready to get back in blood ever since Otto first showed up the bridge, hell as soon as he found out about Aegon being crowned, but she hasn't, doesn't. She's playing it cautious and safe while he desperately wants to rain down hell. That's the root of their contention, the source of their friction. Basically, their fires aren't matching.
The difference between Joffrey and Aegon I think, is that Joffrey would have killed everyone in cold blood, while Aegon did it in a fit of rage. Joffrey would have never returned the sheep or pay the smiths generously too.
Agreeing with Otto for the first time made me realise that Alicent and Criston are the worst characters.

I think the book readers overhyped blood and cheese. Even in the books, we didn't really get to know Helaena that much.
It's a brutal, sadistic murder of a toddler (and the traumatization of an other toddler) in front of his mother's eyes. His mother, who is made to choose which of them to kill, must live the rest of her life knowing she sentenced one of her children to die. And the child must live the rest of his live knowing his mother sentenced him to die.
You don't need to "get to know Halaena" for that to be horrible. You don't need to know anything about the people.

Otto Hightower is really an impressive character. This episode made him stand out above anyone else. What a well written character
After the battle between Ser Erryk and Ser Arryk came the ballad: "Farewell my brother" which is sung to this day in Westeros
Ser Erryk went out like the Ultimate Badass. He returned his queen’s father’s crown and died in the process of her defense (not as an assassin), even paying the price for kinslaying. Neither Aemon the Dragonknight nor Ser Barristan Selmy could have asked for a better entry in the White Book.

The acting in this show is so Good. The scene with Daemon and Rhaenyra, and Otto and Aegon... I hate Otto but I did relate to him feeling like Aegon and Crispon shared a braincell. I mean Otto this is what you did. You put the idea in Viserys head that Daemon shouldn't be heir that Rhaenyra should, you had Alicent essentially seduce Viserys and want to marry her. YOUR DAUGHTER'S BEST FRIEND's FATHER. Otto is the main cause of ALOT of death. People blame Viserys but he never once said Aegon should be heir. In one of his physically weakest moments he stood by Rhaenyra's side. He was so vehemently against it that when Aegon was getting ready to be crowned he said over and over again his father didn't want this.
I don't think enough people are talking about how all of Alicient's children do not know how to share emotions with one another and be vulnerable with one another. They seek comfort through other means (drinking, pleasure houses, isolation). Alicient did not bestow those characteristics in her children and her and Viserys failed their children in that way,.
