Heya Justin Opinion! Three things: 1. LOK Grips. I used your discount and I am really looking forward to trying these bad boys out! I have ordered the Special Forces "De Oppressor LIber" (which according to Wikipedia translates to: "A correct translation of the Latin phrase de oppresso liber would be 'from (being) an oppressed man, (to being) a free one."" This is the motto of the Green Berets and of many who joined MACV-SOG during the Vietnam War. I have ordered mine in black with bright red liner. I have you to thank for going to LOK Grips and for your JUSTIN10 discount! =) 2. I am glad to see your sense of humor has seemingly changed your opinion to "sorry I'm an idiot" to "Don't forget to stomp on the Like button... unless you're a jerk..." Ha ha! 3. If you don't mind a correction, in your 4 Rules of Firearm safety (which I admire you for posting and love your intro with the great music and the silly ducks on the treadmill - love it!), there appears to be a grammatical error. 4. That you loaned Mas Ayoob a handgun is terrific! That he scored a perfect score is... well... Mas Ayoob! I think the world of him though we have never met. 5. You have over 100,000 subscribers! That is fantastic! I am glad to be one of them. =) 6. Might you get into how you maintain your 1911s? I would enjoy a video from you on that matter. I can't imagine you are anything but fun to watch, safe, and your opinions well-thought-out. =)
Always love the Browning High Power that's why I have 2 a P35 and a Practical. Someday after I get past this cancer treatment I'm going through I may be able to get back to the range
Good luck on beating the cancer. High Powers are nice. And so are CZ75s. If you’ve never tried one, treat yourself to one after you go into remission. They have a bit longer grip and a better beavertail under the hammer, but to me feel a lot like a High Power in the hand. God Bless you.
Thanks for the Video Coverage my friend! Always good to see you Review a New handgun in the market. It reminds me of the one that got away from me in 1989 to 1990 when I was in the Marines. quality is top notch, but honestly I think the wood grips that come with it are actually really good grips. Great contours, good checkering, and they look very nice. Also, it has to be the shooter ;)
Good morning Justin, I stumbled upon your 44 Automag reviews and have since been watching your other vids. Your laid back demeanor and respectful approach to us viewers is very much appreciated. Keep up the good work! Nice shooting BTW
Thanks Justin. The SA-35 is at the top of my want list. Just have to wait for sales to calm down. When I get one, and I will, I like the palm swell on these LOK grips.
Great review!!! Always enjoy your reviews. After reading it I put same grips except o.d. green and black without palm swell. Also put in the B H Spring Solutions " essentials" kit!!! This made an already very good gun Great 😁👍!!!
I’m a south-paw too, but I’ve decided to try right-hand shooting since I’m Right eye dominant. Surprisingly, I’m actually a little more accurate! It feel kinda weird to me though, so I’ll probably stick to shooting lefty.
Though I have issues with Springfield this pistol is genius and I'll give them kudos for making it. It is on my I have to get it list just not sure if it'll be new or aftermarket. And I use lok grips on all my 45's and will certainly out them on this. And I'm sure he didn't break anything. Again a beautiful firearm and I can't believe I'm saying this but they hit it out of the park with this. Good shooting.
Lok grips are fantastic I got the punisher g10 ones for my colt delta elite. Fantastic quality. Not only are they stylish the g10 feel makes it a viable tactical choice.
Great video as usual man. I'll make sure to use your code when I get a set of LOK grips for my CZ TS2. So close to that 100K mark...hope you hit it soon.
@@Jaybird-oo3ih I got mine early too...SN in the low 1300's and had 2 failure to extract in the first 40 rounds (Blazer Brass 115g). Only had one box of ammo with me, but plan to run a couple more boxes through it and see what my results are. Hoping for the best. Much like Justin's group in the video, I was shooting low/left as well. Sight adjustment needed!!
is saying massad ayoob got a perfect score in a shooting competition, really complimenting the gun? he could have probably done it with a sccy, lol. awesome review as always.
The review by Garand Thumb was excellent. The QC issues are one of the reasons to carefully see the reviews and know that not every TH-cam review is going to give an honest review and point out what went wrong. The blued finish on these Springfield pistols are not good. Hopefully Springfield can fix this.
All three of those grips look really good on the SA-35, although I would have to agree that the deep red colored one gives it that sort of classic look, almost like a rosewood color but maybe a little darker. I've been remiss on not paying LOK grips a visit (mostly been enjoying Hogue grips, mainly the rubber overmold which are quite comfortable) , I definitely have several handguns, mainly most of which are CZ 75 variants, that I'm considering getting some G10 grips for just to try out and experiment with. As always, excellent review! 👍
I have Lok Grip on all my CZs and they are great. The Lok Grips gives me the same ergonomic, better grip, and a better control to the trigger. Example - All my CZ s have the CGW PRO packages. Trigger pull on SS are 2.3 lbs (even with the factory main spring) which on some occasions caused trigger pull before I am set for quick and precision second shots. Hence the Lok Grips have allowed me to have better control on the trigger. (Opinion)
As a 1911 guy, the High Power has always fascinated me. The Springfield looks really good, but, other High Power clones are coming out next year, so, I think I'll waite
EAA and Regent are bringing Turkish HP clones from Girsas and Tisas respectively. The SA-35 is not entirely flawless, but I'll be going with that over the Turk models.
The Turkish High Powers are rough. The triggers are inconsistent. Some are good. Some are really gritty. The slide is rough and not finished properly. But they only cost what.....
Thanks for the tip. Got a SA35 and waiting for Lok Grip (Dark Red Black, Palm Swell, Ridgeback). On the SA35, unlike the CZ75, alignment of the barrel with the slide at assembly is required or the barrel will catch on the slide and the slide will not move aft to the locking position. Do you see the same problem?
That grip looks mostly dark brown color. I would like the Gray & Black, plus it would show better in the video. Your group is in the mostly 7:30 hour. Is the rear sight adjustable?
Nice video Sir, Springfield must have really made sure that Hi Power was going to work, 2 Hi Powers that were bought out of the box had extraction issues to begin with, not to mention a lot of sharp edges that required deburring, there is no way you can compare this to a Belgium Browning Hi Power, Springfield needs to do a lot of tweaking which that means the price will go up, or just send it to BHSpring Solutions and let them do this gun the right way, no doubt that SA-35 will come back completely reliable and more accurate.
I used your code to buy my LOK GRIPS FOR MY CZ SHADOW 2 ORANGE. Palm swell Bogie green liner cherry red and yellow accent. Looks like a zombie threw up in Mc Donald’s thanks. Now if I can find a brand ammo it will feed with I’ll be set. I hear CZ like OAL 1.085 1.09. I don’t reload any advice Thanks.
I need to pick up some Lok grips for my Shadow 2. The only thing I'm worried about is how big the palm swell grips are. I have medium hands, are they going to add so much width that it's going to make it hard for me? Anyone with experience with opinions would be appreciated
as a instructor watching your video and first mag of ammo , you are over griping with your weak hand as your hand move to the left or you add more pressure or force your impact move left as well.
Whoa-whoa-whoa! You come across very calm and under-control. You are doing it wrong! This is youtube, that requires shrill, extreme and radical! Needs more name-calling and "controversy" and contrived drama! Just kidding, nice review, thanks for not being annoying. 😉
Pistol grips. What' I've always found odd is why no one making grips has made pistol grips using a fummy rubber. With some give and good traction. All we h ave are "hard plastic" or wood. Yet Hogue makes a rubber grip for revolvers. Why not for pistols? With the right groove patterns. Or "stippling"....
Great review, thank you! I'm gonna stick to the original Browning Hi-Power! Springfield is just a parts assembler using parts from foreign manufacturers. And they import XD pistols from Croatia etc.. They don't make much, just import and assemble parts. Their name is deceptive because the Real Springfield Armory closed in the late 1960's.

I'd rather have a s&w 59, 459, or 5906.
This grip design is a copy of the Craig Spegal grips that have been available for the BHP for many years.
Spegel grips are the nicest thing you can get for a Hi Power, so if they copied the contour Craig uses they should feel great.
The only good thing that I live in CA now is that I wouldn't be able to buy SA-35 impulsively and uncontrollably.
