Thankyou for learning about the dark history of Viet Nam. It was a sad and sorrowful yet epic and glorious win for VietNamese people. We suffered too much. From the 1000 years of China domination, to the France, the Japanese, to the resistance war against US. ( not a civil war I have to emphasize this fact) after 1975, we still had to fight Pol Pot in Cambodia 1979-1989 and China border offense in 1979. With all the pain in the past, it surprise me as how Viet Nam is trying to thriving today.
We never forget the past but we want to head for a better future so we left it behind with utter respect and pride.
Welcome to Viet Nam and even American, welcome to VietNam. I hope you had a unforgettable memory and hope we can be friend when you revisit our country

One little comment I would add to the video is the scale in which agent orange was used by the Americans, and the fact that even today there are still malformed children born, due to its devastating effects!
Great video James! I have visited that museum and I think everyone should too, as hard and heartbreaking an experience as it may be!
Keep up the good work, and safe travels mate! 🙏

About using elegant on a piece of war instrument, just keep in mind that they really are elegant engineering solutions. Yes, they were made for a terrible purpose, but the work involved should also be recognised. We dont mind (VNese here)

Brilliant video James! Was in the museum in 2018 and left it a little bit broken. I think it was the 1st time I ever took the time to read everything in a museum. The war crimes part was horrendous and seeing that well (not in your vid) where victims were hiding and massacred, physically in the museum was horrible, When I was in the Agent Orange section they actually had physical people that were victims of it inside and that really put it into perspective for me. Devastatingly sad. A brilliant museum! You're getting great at the vids!

Thanks very much, Lee! It means a lot coming from yourself! While it is very sad it's important to learn about the history of the places you travel I believe. Thanks again ☺️

One of my friends used to be a cheerful guy. He never be the same after visiting the war crime section. I haven't but I guess learning through books is enough to me, only stories, no pictures.

Cuộc chiến của Mỹ ở Việt Nam tuy đau thương nhưng nó chỉ là một dấu chấm trong quá trình lịch sử to lớn của đất nước tôi mà thôi.

I live in Saigon. I served here during the unpleasantness. "67 to 70, 71 to "72" Tourists need to keep in mind that, the victors write the history, what you see there is the communists side of the war.. Back in 1989 to 2001 they called this place "The American war crimes museum" Does that give you a hint? After the country opened up and more and more tourists complained they renamed it.
The A/C you see, A-1H Skyraider, A-37 tweety bird, CH-47 Chinook, U-17 Cessna, UH-1-H. It's an interesting place if you want to see the weapons but that's about it. Don't take what you hear and read seriously. .Life will teach you, there are two sides to every story.
