My mistake guys, I should have said “if you lengthen the distance between the fulcrum and load, it creates a mechanical advantage with a longer throw. If you shorten the distance between the fulcrum and load, it gives a shorter throw, therefore less mechanical advantage.
Really interesting listening to you talk about the temp gauge & oil pressure gauge. I like the idea of the gear shift so when I eventually build mine back I may do what you've done ✔️ 😀.
Thanks mate, this was such an early mod I did to Grace, still to this day it’s going super well for such a basic, yet easy mod for people to do. Nothing better than having more gauges available to watch exactly what’s happening on your vehicle more closely. Helps to prevent further damage by catching it early. Thanks for watching and the comment 👌🏼
@@Tomostuneups yeah the retaining pins, not sure how you got them out without un bolting the housing and lifting the car, there’s like zero room to tap them out
@@Rokwallaby it may have been that my tunnel surround was square rather than semi circle like a standard Classic Mini or most likely that the pins had worn to the point they weren’t being held in very firmly. If you loose closely in the video, I had some black silicone holding them in as they often fell out or came loose whilst driving. But you’re right, taking the whole assembly out is like out the way to go if they don’t come out in the vehicle

Love the Kombie in the back ground.

Great work Tomo! :)
Thanks team 👍🏼
How’d you get the pins out while it was still in the car?
@@Rokwallaby hey mate, love the name!
Are you referring to the pin that located the gear stick in the housing to prevent it rotating?

Just need a better way to capture your voice in the car. Other than that, great video
I think next time I’ll try my AirPods. How it sounds on audio is fairly similar how it sounds in the car, but definitely worth looking into
