    there was still coolant in your filler bowl. Car was at operating temps. How did you remove the bowl without spilling coolant? also, how did you replace the cap while the system was hot? @Tomostuneups 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@pwrshots hey mate, great questions there. Okay so the tool has a plug in it which you can refit to remove the coolant filling tool. The excess coolant in the tool isn’t an issue as it ensures that’s the highest point of the cooling system, allowing any air pockets to be replaced with coolant. Any excess can be then used in the expansion tank. If the system isn’t pressurized, you can refit the cap safely. As the filling tool was fitted, there was no pressure in the system as it wasn’t a sealed system. I haven’t heard that technique before, but it could work. So long as the thermofan is cycling, heater is hot and temperature gauge operates normally, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Just be sure to check the level once completely cold again, in both the radiator and expansion tank

      @Tomostuneups หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey mate, I’ve not heard of that before. What do you mean by bad reading exactly? Have you contacted your local LDV dealer at all? Doing this reset for the first time took me a while to work it out, which may be the same case for you. Let me know how you go

    The selector fork bolt will more than likely be 3/8, which is about 9.5 mm . The closest imperial to 9mm is 23/64, but I never saw a socket or spanner with that on. But maybe ? I dont think they'd heard of mm's in the good old days. The only actual tear down video I could find. Cheers mate.

    I’ve had this and so did mini DYI in The states. I hold on to these when doing a strip down sometime mix and matching east and west aka new and old to get the right clearance. It like tubing autos and manual bearings only one side gets more love then the other Also the worst thing to tear for in the engine for it’s gone bad is something else in my books. Great info and great timing too. I've been eyeing up a used shorter stroke crank for a BMW project in the last week or so. The crank(s) will most likely come from a breakers yard, so now I know to ask them how it's been stored and get it checked for warpage before the return window closes.
