02-04 Trailblazer fuel filter replacement (4.2 I6)

How to replace the fuel filter in your 02-04 I6 Trailblazer/Envoy.

NOTE: 05s and up do not have a serviceable fuel filter.
The manual calls for replacement every 30K miles, however I do them once a year.
I also discuss how a restricted fuel filter has caused a mpg loss several times over the last few years. My experience has proven that the fuel filter can hurt mpgs.

Update August 2013 - LOL everyone is a technician on the internet. You can believe whatever your brother in law told you about fuel filters, I have the data to back my claims up. So fuck you and have a nice day!
