Brilliant watch. Thank you. My new camper conversion sits too high at the front and reading about different coil overs has made my head ache!! This has cleared so much up, especially the wheels and tyres info.
Bit late to this great video. On each of the shots of the fitted systems, are they set to the lowest setting? Torn between NXT and NSL, want to be able to sometimes run a bit higher, not bothered about super low. Would love the flexibility of air but pockets not quite deep enough 😢
Such an informative video as usual. Seriously considering selling my STX and getting some NSLs to give me that bit more as currently wound fully down on the front and adjuster deletes on the back.

Hello. Great video. I've bought a lowered T32 with Bilstein NSL Solow Coilovers, 20" alloys and 275/35ZR20 tyres. I will be taking the van along tracks and unmade roads whilst travelling and would like to raise the van a little bit and add All Terrain tyres, probably with 17" wheels (if sensible). Will this be OK with these Bilstein NSL SoLow Coilovers? Thanks. Any advice very appreciated as I really am in the dark here.
I feel like this could finally be the year it happens 🙌 iv got a staggered set of Rotiform RSE's with 255/40/20 front and 275/40/20 on rear, will i get away with the NSL wound up high ? Or is the NXT a better option. great video of what looks like a great product
I was planning on changing my wheels to an 18 or 20 but worried about making the ride uncomfortable. What setup would you recommend for the most comfortable ride
Hi there, I've been following your discussions on suspensions and really value your insights. I own a stock T6 California Ocean and am looking to maintain the stock height while improving the ride. I'm currently based in Brussels and have found a decent deal on Koni Special Active shocks. Before I make a decision, I wanted to ask if it would be beneficial to consult with you guys. Do you think these shocks would suit my needs, or would you recommend discussing other options directly with your team? Thanks for sharing your expertise, and looking forward to your advice!
Great video and it's been on my list to change out the stock suspension on my camper for a while. Just wondering from a performance and comfort perspective what would you choose out of the Solow and the Bilstein B14 Komfort kit?
They are very similar in ride and handling but the NXT just edges it and is slightly cheaper. Both have 2 year warranty. You'd be really pleased with either though.
Hi HQ. Looking to purchase the NSL’s over the NXT’s for the drop and I have noted the tyre recommendation from the video. Recently (last month) had a set of 4 new tyres for an MOT at 265/40/20 to soften the harsher ride. Wasn’t planning on coils so soon, but your NSL’s got me. Vans currently on standard shocks and 40mm H&R springs. Not looking to get another 4 new tyres already, what would be the max drop for the NSL’s without issues on my current tyre size? Was aiming for 80mm. Many thanks
Honestly, i'd go for the NXT with that tyre size. With a 265/40/20 you may get a slightly rub otherwise. You might get away with them on the highest setting but i couldn't say for sure.
Have just purchased the NSL kit for my T30 from my local distributor (in Aus). Whats your wheel offset recommendation in a 20x9? Offset between 38 & 42 mm or thereabouts?
T5.1 T30 on standard suspension currently, having B14 Komforts fitted, was thinking about having the top mount mod from yourself. How low can I get it and what wheel/tyre combo do you think would be best? Will b turning it into a day van so not too heavy, any suggestions would be appreciated, cheers 👍
@@THQAutomotive original question was😂, with the top mount mod and Komforts installed what drop will I get and what’s the best wheel/tyre/offset combo would you recommend, I don’t want loads of gap or sticking out, really appreciate your advice guys
I have a t6 t32 kombi on van slams coilover but I run it empty so it's oversprung. Do you offer a lighter lb spring for with your t32 kits? I can't live with the vam slams much longer the ride is horrible on British roads.
You only need 1 type of spring regardless of weight. Your issue is the Van Slams. Personal opinion, but they are terrible. Solow's and others like Bilstein Komforts and Twin adjust Projekt will be so much better in ride quality and handling.
@@THQAutomotive OK just thought the t32 spring would be stiffer for higher payload? I was going to have some springs made and then swap the shocks at a later date but if your kit solves that all in one go that's perfect.
Everything except what I am looking for. My T32 T6.1 Shuttle with stock suspension is so harsh every bump knocks my teeth out. I don't want higher or lower... I just want a more comfortable ride. Any suggestions?
It's not possible without going lower. Something like the NXT on the highest setting is only going to drop it 35mm which is hardly noticeable. The ride quality would be night and day improvement from standard suspension. It'll reduce your centre of gravity, improve ride and be so much more comfortable while also reducing sway / body roll. Standard suspension is terrible, it makes me travel sick.
@@FantasticCraptacular komfort coilovers will be very similar to solow NXT. Green comfort dampers are good but still using a standard spring isn't going to make a massive difference.
@@THQAutomotive Thanks.. I am running Fuel Zephyrs on Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus 235/65/17 (bought from and fitted by you guys). Will I have clearance issues? Yes they've been a long time in development. By far the most comfortable lift kit out there.

The NSL is a game charger. Coilovers aren't meant to be run maxed out. Having that shorter damper and spring combo gets the looks, riding and comfort.
