- Today I can present to YOU a pure exhaust SOUND drive with the all-new 2017 / 2018 Audi SQ5 powered by the 3.0 TFSI delivering 354hp and 500 Nm of torque trough 8-speed and Quattro. As Audi doesn't offer anything like a sports exhaust option we are glad to find out that this stock car sounds very sporty and has a deep tone and grunt all of the time. It might not scream as the GLC 43 AMG but the pops and burbles sound better and really suit the character of this sporty SUV. Talked to Audi's guys a lot about that yesterday...they are aware that they "messed up", and try to solve it asap...maybe for the facelift, maybe earlier:)

@@jody024 on the glc 43 the tips of the exhaust a fake but if you look inside the exhaust you will see 1 exhaust on each side so its like 50% real

Tolles Video! Klingt echt gut der Hobel! War großer Fan, als der neue SQ5 vor einigen Monaten präsentiert wurde, vor allem, weil in Europa jetzt der SQ5 als TFSI vom Band läuft.
Abgesehen von den viel diskutierten Fake-Endrohren finde ich (auch bei A4/A5) das feststehende Display einen großen Rückschritt. Das ein- und ausfahrbare Display MUSS Audi wieder zurückbringen!
Einfach ein so perfektes und geiles Auto ! 😍 Der Sound tröstet über die weggelassenen Rohre hinweg 😥

These fake exhaust tips look absolutely pathetic...They wouldn't fit the normal Q5 and in the S version they look ridiculous to say the least.

Das Thema wurde bei Audi scheinbar schon vor dem Release heftig diskutiert, allerdings waren sie dann wohl selber überrascht, dass die Lösung so schlecht ankommt..naja, hätten sie uns vorher gefragt;) Fazit: Audi weiss, dass das Käse ist und wird schnellstmöglich an einer Verbesserung arbeiten, evtl. zum Facelift, vielleicht auch schon früher:)

dieser neue SQ5 braucht 5,4 Sek auf 100 (Vorgänger 5,1 Sek) GLC 43, X4 M40i usw 4,9 Sek. Was meinst du an was das liegt? Der müsste dann ja schon spürbar schlechter gehen oder?
Der ist weniger “sportlich“ als nen x4 m40i avec zum beispil im regen oder im schnee ist er viel besser! Aber selbst den sound finde ich den sq5 richtig gut manche sagen dass sie auspuffen scheisse sind aber finde den Wagen trotzdem unglaublich und im alltag toll! Super gemütlich also einfach super! 8/10

I was pretty pumped to pick one of these up and trade in my '14 Q5. But this exhaust thing is a huge turn off. Like why? AMGs look more appealing now

Нужно сесть в SQ5 FY, включить двигатель, прогреть до рабочей температуры, перевести Drive select в положение Dynamic нажав соответствующие клавиши, перевести селектор КПП в ручной режим движением в право от себя, и бодро кататься по подходящей местности.

schönes SUV und klasse Sound, das mit der Heckschürze und den nicht vorhandenen Endrohren bei einem S Modell geht aber gar nicht 👎 Hier unbedingt nachbessern Audi ☺

Thanks for producing the vid. However - it bothers me that most Audis come with a sound actuator - mechanical craftsmanship would be much more appreciated.
Exhaust sound is real, not enhance by any actuator. Inside of course its slightly supported once you are in S-Mode.
BMW is the one that included sound actuators if im not mistaken.
Jaaa der "Auspuff" du hast ja schon gesagt dass die das ändern wollen, hoffentlich nicht erst im Facelift.. da kommt vielleicht eine Option im Konfigurator und naja ABT etc. können ja immer noch "vernünftige" Heckstoßstangen anbieten :D

Richtig. Ich habe Audi gestern auch schon meine Meinung dazu gesagt und sie haben ganz klar gesagt, dass sie es ändern MÜSSEN wenn ihnen dadurch sonst Kunden abspringen. ABT wird sicherlich darauf aufspringen und zeitnah ne AGA inkl. Heckschürze anbieten.
Bekommst du noch den neuen RS5?
Bestimmt noch dieses Jahr, aber aktuell noch keinen Termin...leider.

How would you compare it too the Macan GTS?
Suddenracer GTS has less tech, assistant thingies, "worse" interior (I don't like those thousand buttons) but it's "faster" (6hp :D) and a Porsche... that means it'll cost way more but handle superb
The Macan is definitely more sporty.

@@fabi_applelover6542 The SQ5 is more comfort-oriented, the Macan is more driver focused. This is even more true now that the new SQ5 is diesel-powered.
I own a S5 Sportback and my wife wants an Q5 guess the SQ5 it will be then cost around 30k in Germany not too expensive… just the non existent exhaust tips are an eyesore to me!

@@fanaticvandal472 They are just going for the futuristic/modern look, and with them focusing on EVs now it makes sense kind of. A lot of cars actually have something like this but Audi's look like they should have tips just with how the rear bumper/diffuser is set up

Those exhaust tips are awful and they just don't have to exist for a SQ5 model, not even for a 2.0 TFSI model with 252HP. It really needs a proper exhaust. The sound it's not even so great for such a performance engine, the S5 is way better. I don't argue for the perfomance and technology, I know it is top, but it's a shame. Look to a Porsche Macan or to an Alfa Romeo Stelvio to see what a proper exhaust looks like.

Diese Fake-Auspuffblenden sind schon an einem Passat absolut lächerlich. Das finde ich regelrecht abstoßend an einem Sport-Modell. Also im Ernst, Audi was zum Teufel?! Ich verstehe auch nicht, wie Audi jetzt schon wissen kann, dass sie verkackt haben, das passiert doch nicht einfach so, das musste so ja auch designed werden.

Automann-TV Da hätte ein bisschen Marktforschung wohl geholfen :D Also ich muss wirklich sagen, dass mich das total aufregt, was ist denn das Problem bei normalen Auspuffrohren. Naja, ich kann nur hoffen, dass sie sich die Kritik zu Herzen nehmen und sowas nicht nochmal vorkommt
